This drama managed to achieve the perfect balance between sweet romance and hilarious scenes. The main couple is adorable but supporting couple’s love story is also compelling. Chae Rim’s character, Dal Ja is very entertaining. Lee Min Ki has charisma but his acting ability could be better. If you are looking for a good light rom-com, then this should satisfy.

It was cute and sweet and had a lot of great moments. The score would likely be higher but in the last several episodes it started to drag as the writes had to draw out the 22 episodes by putting unnecessary and useless stuff in. The ending could have been more complete but it ended well and overall the feeling was good throughout the series. Dal Ja charcter was beautifully classic in look and Tae Bong was so cute though sometimes you really didn't know what he was thinking expression wise.

I must have changed my review 10 times! If I could have left off at episode 19, this would have rated much higher. There are times when a drama is too long and it ruins the whole thing; this is definitely the case. The acting was wonderful. I absolutely loved the characters!! I learned about some new ones I'd never seen in a drama before and have come to love them; Lee Hye Young who plays Seon Joo? LOVE IT! Love her character and her portrayal!! Overall, I'd recommend me but be prepared to have a WTF moment beginning at episode 20!!

Hmm this is a little underrated. The story is not complicated that you might not find it interesting to watch but great enough specially in ROmcOm genre. The cast is not all good looking but catchy. Lead roles are a good match although I have to say that Lee Min Ki needs to improve his acting to match her partner. Music hmmm. let's just say it made me smile every time i hear it. overall, I give it a 9 for the just right comedy matching the romance :)

“Since I can't avoid it, I'll enjoy it. Since I started it, I should do it happily.” ~ Oh Dal Ja

The plot moves quite quickly, which is great. Things develop pretty fast so there's always something happening instead of having to wait for things to get interesting.
This drama is really about understanding people and resolving differences when disagreements and clashes of personality arise.

Dalja
Dalja is a competent business woman. Do you know how happy this makes me? She's a great heroine. She's steely and sweet.
I was worried the whole drama would turn into a weird rom-com revenge. But she gets over it by the second episode.
I love this woman's resilience.
I did get tired of her putting on a front throughout the drama but she's a great and genuine actress and I was always rooting for her.

Girl Power

“We may be a couple of hopeless divorcees and an immature woman involved with a married man, but we can do well too.”

I do enjoy a good enemies-to-friends plot line. I love that grown women can hold hands in a show of companionship and compassion.

Romance
I like that Dal Ja feels quite free to share her troubles in the guise of sort of sharing her philosophy with the “younger chap” that is Tae Bong. I like the way he hangs onto her words when she's rambling to herself about her life.
Also, this drama has one of the best, “Will you date me?” scenes. THE BEST.
I like that Dalja can see past Tae Bong's front he puts up and really is quite wise in handling him. And I like the way she deals with his issues.
Relationally, Dalja can be quite good, but romantically, she's always asking advice for her colleagues. Poor Tae Bong who isn't as smart as he thinks he is when it comes to relationships, always thinks she's mad at him, he should've learned by now that she has no idea what she's doing.
Finally, when they do get together, it's nice to have a casual vibe, but I didn't really like their dynamic.
Later on in the drama, the shaping of the romantic tension was good. I liked the realistic scenarios and crises that came up for the couple. It's not every drama that I feel physical heartache for the angst.

Tae Bong
“The only truth about Kang Tae Bong, is that I've never lied to Dal Ja.”
I like that even though he verbally teases Dal Ja, he isn't petty. He wants to make her life better, not worse for his own amusement.
There's something about this guy that never quite convinced me. I didn't ever really fall in love with him. I couldn't connect with his character. There was a detachment for me because the drama focuses on the heroine so much. Also, his facial features aren't that expressive.

Wee Seon Joo
I liked how this character really underwent such a transformation and how her relationships with the other characters developed. Most of the time I don't like women with her kind of voice, but I grew quite fond of her tone.
And the completion of her transformation in the last episode was absolutely hilarious.

Elders
The elder situation for Tae Bong is pretty funny.
Dalja's situation is good as well. I feel like it's been a while since I've seen such a lovely mother relationship.
Dalja's grandma is also really amusing.

Secondary characters
I loved how everyone became important and added something to the drama.
Her office staff are pretty cool and supportive of her. I like how they are both in awe of her and also treat her like the office pet because she was always does nice things for them.

Rep Eom
This guy and his secretary cracked me up.

it was really promising and new at the beginning i was very interested to know what will happen
then as usual it goes down the hill

i really was impressed wz chae rim acting so cute and natural
and Lee Hye Young role and acting was brilliant when u began to hate her she mad something made ur heart melt down and love her again

lee min his acting was extremely cold and lukewarm in this drama which frustrating me alot
all the time i was questioning his deeds and if he really loved dalja or not
his reactions towards Seo Young Hee actings and how he accepted it although it was very provoking
he didn't even support dalja when his mother invited them all at dinner
and even when this B**** told him she want him bk and she talked to dalja he never bothered him self to ask dalja about what happened between them and to clear himself

and the end was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo lukewarm when they come bk together
what the hell about ( if its fate.. may be)

when u love someone u search for him u don't left that only to fate
she come back and didn't bother herself to search for him and began to meet men to marry

the whole end provoked me so much really

A surprise find and goes on my recommeded list.

I am surprised that this drama has such a low rating. If you are looking for a comedy / romance, then this one should be on your watch list!! I gave it a 9 in spite of my dislike about the ending. I would have given this drama 9.5 if the ending did not frustrate me. I reserve 10 for those dramas that are unusual and have a powerful message about main character's transformation.

I was hesitant to watch 22 hours but the 22 hours felt like a normal 16 hours of drama. The writer kept the situational humor alive through out every episodes and kept me entertained. Nothing was off limits. For example, Seon Joo & Sae Do's baby not being pretty enough and being mistaken for a male child.

I was also pleasantly surprised that back in 2007 the writer broke the norm by having a story dealing with co-habitation and sex.

I highly recommend this drama but I was disappointed by the last episode and the ending.

Spoiler Alert!!
We all expect and know that the main couple will end up together and it is a usual pattern in Kdramas that there will be breakup just before that last episode. This drama did not disappoint us in that regard. However, I was very disappointed in Dal Ja's character and that made me angry as a viewer. By the end of this drama both my partner & I really didn't care if they got back together again.
Dal Ja's primary reason for breaking up was that she wasn't confident that Tae Bong really loved her. He does profess his love for her and she seemed to be too self absorbed to not to "keep in touch" for two years. When she does come back to Korea and makes no effort to get in touch with him. If I was in his shoes, I don't think I would want to get involved for such a high maintenance girl!!

Other than my frustration with the ending, I highly recommend this drama and give a shout out to Chae Rim for really doing such a fantastic job. She really carried the drama with her facial expressions. I would loved to see more of her newer dramas but I don't think she is acting any more.

Good job every one!!

DAL-JA's SPRING - The Best KDRAMA to Binge Watch

Chae Rim as Oh Dal-JA who was a naive, vulnerable yet very sensitive, highly ethical and principled charming single woman was perfectly paired with Lee Min-Ki as Kang Tae-Bong who was a smart, super hot, romantic, funny and charming lawyer. I laughed for days after watching the scene where Kang Tae-Bong introduced himself as a lawyer but his clothes didn't reflect his occupation and he was eating like he hasn't eaten for days hahaha :-) It's hard not to love this couple from the moment they accidentally bumped into each other until the moment Kang Tae-Bong confessed his feelings to Oh Dal-Ja. I applaud the scriptwriter and director for adding the hilariously entertaining parodies. Kudos also to the casting director. Every character in the show contributed to the show's captivating and entertaining scenes.

Dal-Ja's Spring is definitely a must-watched Kdrama. I wish that it will be on Netflix USA even for a limited time.

★▪︎°♡ Beyond the history ♡°▪︎★

It was definitely a series that went beyond the classic TV series, had a great plot, and would not seem cliché at all even if you watched it in 2024. Every moment and every character was entertaining. I enjoyed watching it very much, I still can't believe that this series was shot in 2007 because it is a series that is far beyond history. The scriptwriter really did a great job, the actors' chemistry and acting are 1000/10 with 5 stars ★★★★★

Firstly I watched 19 epidodes then gave a break about 6 months then finished the drama. I REALLY like it♡ ??. I think it is one of the best dramas for old ones.

You may think childish or slightly exaggerated for the some parts (as I see in some comments) but NO! those are parts of human-nature. I think this drama's content is also reality. Even you can find a part of you ?

So that everyone please doN'T hesitate and please go and give a chance♡
