Such a great feel good movie. Really light fun story, with a great cast, and set in the beautiful city of Busan. It has just enough drama to make your heart squeeze, and the characters and the relationships are developed at a great pace. The one night stand is a common rom-com theme, but I think what sets these movies apart from one another is the way they make that brief encounter meaningful. I think the movie was successful in adding depth in a way that makes the development in the story, particularly the characters' relationship, believable.

Definitely worth your time!

It was funny, cute and lovely to see both Moon Chae Won and Yoo Yeon Suk acting together.. I'm big fan of both actors and their work. And I think that their pairing was a pure gold.
The impression that this movie left on me was good.
But as for the story, it's already seen. Also it's really risky to do a rom/com movie based on a topic of a one night stand, because in a real life one night stands are strongly disliked and don't have any relation with romance.
But on the other side I think that they made a serious topic, that is like a big thing nowadays, interesting and that they pointed out the problem that is very common and normal today in our society.
As for the acting... Well, there's nothing to say about it. I mean, Moon Chae Won and Yoo Yeon Suk are both great actors and I can only say "Bravo!!!!". Hahahaha. XD
The chemistry between the leads was amazing. And I would like to see another project with this two actors.
So here, in this movie, the writer is giving us the opportunity to see a good and a bad side of people. Of course, one is a bad side or should I say a cold side which people use as a wall to protect themselves from being hurt and the other is good, soft and warm side which a person rarely shows to the other people.
As the movie goes on, they slowly begin to develop a feeling towards each other, as they get the opportunity to see good qualities of that other person.
OST.. Well, I liked it. But also I didn't pay that much attention on the OST, cause I was more focused on the theme of a movie and chemistry between the leads.
Overall, it was refreshing to watch a movie like this, with this kind of a cast.
And I recommend watching it, cause in the end you will end up liking it.

Oh such a feel good movie! Everything you want in a rom-com is here and I loved it!

This is such a typical story used in many romantic comedies but the writers' job and also the actors' great chemistry made the romance that arose from that short encounter believable and beautiful. I love movies that deliver what they promise and this one did so. It made me smile, fangirl, scream and laugh, I felt my heart warmed and happy after finishing it so it means this was worth the time.

The acting was perfect for the story, our leads have fantastic chemistry together (and I swear Yoo Yeon Seok is one of the best kissers in Dramaland, God!) they really need to act in something else in the future.
The comedy was on point too. Everything basically. By the way I have a thing for love stories and trains haha I just find it so romantic. Like you can actually meet the love of your life in a train lol.

The OST, well since I love Ed Sheeran so much, I obviously loved the ost here hehe.

I would definitely rewatch this anytime, maybe tomorrow hehe and also recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a lovely romantic story and also hot-lovely kisses ;)

"if you're confused, go with your first tought" -kim jae hyun

i'm quite new to k-movie. so, i'm not going to compared this to any of them.

i'm a big fan of romance drama, i've watched a ton and this movies has a special room inside my heart. the story is unique. you can say everything happens quickly (80% of them happened in a day) wich is mindblown to think about that again. but when i watched it i've never think about it. it droves you right into the actual scenes.the writers explain everything super smooth i've never find it confusing and too complicated to watch.it's kind of predictable but still, some of them are not. this is a very light and sweet movie to cheer you up a day. but it does made me cry a litte so if you expect for something comedy that can make you laugh for the whole movie this is not for you.

cast is amazing, jaehyung is not romantic but straight forward guy but loves to flirt and throwing some jokes also very talkative (yoo yeon seok is definitely my bias rn).bae soo jung makes the story complicated, starting from her 10 years long term boyfriend till the lie conversation with friends. hands down for their chemistry, beautiful passionate love in the end. gave me somebutterflies and also the real after taste. supporting role is basically everything they make everything goes down smoothly. seriously. this drama contains bromance that i also liked, it's a little scenes but impactful and loud. it's just fits perfectly in everything.

music, oh god who doesn't love ed sheeran? unlike the other k-thingy this movie didn't have any k-pop related. instead they're taking photograph by ed as their ost. at first i wasn't remembered because they played the chorus instruments but i started sing along. then i was like is what the
fuck? they put the music in every sweet moments and it supporting the scenes.and basically, it's my jam rn. everytime i hear photograph, all of the scenes popping out of my head.i had to say that music director in this movie made other sound such as footsteps, wind, rain, etc is very detailed and count as loud for me. but it's not over for backsound.(IT BECAUSE ANOTHER OH) really appreciated it.

i've watched this 3 times in a row. so, 10 for re watching value just beacause it's light and fascinating to watch. the after taste is better than dots for sure.i highly recommend you.

I didn't really go into this movie expecting a lot; but it was still disappointing. Korea seems to be good at churning out romantic comedies, but not many of them would make the cut as a 'good' romantic comedy.

I only watched this because I like Moon Chae Won and Yoo Yeon Seok. I guess that's how other viewers would have been hooked into watching the movie. The premise of it taking place on a KTX train was interesting too.

The premise of the show was slightly misleading - I thought the whole movie would take place on a KTX train, but really, it was just the start of the movie. From then, many of the usual rom-com cliches kicked in. A girl struggling in her high heels, taken for granted by, plus a playboy who likes to sleep around, but who is actually, deep down inside, a romantic and sincere man at heart. I just felt like I've seen all this before.

The addition of the subplot of trying to locate a up-and-coming basketball player really did not serve much purpose or give more meaning or depth to the movie. Jo Jae Yoon was as usual, some small comic relief, but not enough to excite me about the movie on the whole.

Overall, if you're looking for some light comic relief and need something to pass your weekend afternoon, you could watch it. But I won't promise that it will be the best use of your time.

i'm the odd one out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

maybe i'm the only jaded one here, but this wasn't all that.... not talking about the acting - it was good. the story was meh.... so a player wants and has a one night stand, then decided he wants more... this a grand love story?!?? ok....

from the start he is like a bee hopping from flower to flower, does not mean - a bad guy - he is looking to enjoy the moment, and as everyone involved is an adult - this is legitimate. even with her he was straight up, no playing around the bush. she changed her mind not cause she fell in-love, but because she was unhappy in her current relationship.

her talking to her friends was a front, anyone with eyes could see that. why she have to apologize?? she didnt know he was eavesdropping. he on the other hand was very chuffed, when she said the sex was good, but when she said she wouldn't contact him cause it wasn't memorable, and it was just a one night stand, he got butthurt - why? his fragile ego got hurt?? she was kind stating a fact. no?!? when he says it - all's good?? but when it is thrown back in his face - not so nice to hear = be on the receiving end. makes u wonder how all his other female partners felt, when they wanted more - nope????
but cause he got hurt, he waited for her, and asked her to be his f*ck-buddy, i.e. purposely insulted her, which pissed her off. logically she told him off - she have to apologize, why? cause he left her a note?!? and who's to say that they r gonna have a happily ever after? maybe as he isn't into relationships they may last a week, a month or a year...

so the note and the end, were mehhh... writers "tying a pretty bow on it" so it can be sold as a romance. in "drama land" everything goes, and loads of viewers (going by the comments here) r gobbling it up, so whatever...

First of all if you decided to watch this movie based on seeing the poster or the trailer you need to be aware it is not as hilarious as you thought. Also, if you are feeling bored or down please watch other movies that has more actions and thrills, as this movie is mostly about the dialogues between Jae Hyun and Soo Jung, the main leads, no antagonist involved. That's the reason why some comments and reviews stated the movie is boring. But their conversation is actually pretty deep and meaningful while they share and exchange their values of love and sex in a mature way. Mature because there is no slapping, kabedon (wall slamming), force kissing, stalking, piggy back riding, or any other cliche you may find in typical rom-coms. Actually most funny scenes come from the poor friend who is kept left behind by the jerk, that I think are just fillers to make this movie looks funnier.
The aim of this movie is actually the thought process of digesting shocking ideas unfamiliar to the leads: for Soo Jung is finding her first love marries a girl only after 2 months of dating and a stranger asks her straightforwardly but earnestly for a one night stand; and for Jae Hyun is meeting a beautiful woman with a 10 year steady relationship and a basketball player who disregards promising future for a girl.
Some criticizing about the cheating idea is made permissible through this movie. But in my opinion not in this movie. Fate is definitely plays a part as Jae Hyun said in the beginning, although Soo Jung disagrees but you will agree with him after finishing this movie. Soo Jung 10 year relationship with her boyfriend is just exist, something to make a late 20's woman feel comfortable and secure without any excitement (she can't name any fun she did with her boyfriend when Jae Hyun asks).
This kind of movie needs two main leads that can deliver strong chemistry, and the couple nailed it. Yoo Yeon Seok was charmingly seductive yet earnest and Moon Chae Won was naturally uncomfortable yet determined made Jae Hyun and Soo Jung's one day life change event believable. They acted out deep conversation and facial expressions very well.
The OST songs "Photograph" and "Kiss Me" by Ed Sheeran are romantic and soothing.
Since this is a nice romantic movie not drama, definitely the rewatch value is high, though you may not want to rewatch it if you want scenes with lots of actions. But if you feel stuck, watch this film it will make you think of a new idea or rethink about an old idea to be changed.

Watch it if you you don't have anything good left to watch or you feel lazy and don't want to pur constant attention to the screen or you wanted a generic love story but with a basketball edge.

It starts generic as you expect it to, it turns as expect it to, it gets weird as you expect it to, it gives you eye candy as you expect it to, it ends as you expect it to.

The Playboy gets what he wants but finds something unusual of which he cannot let go and the girl loses what she wanted so make dos with someone else in a very thin relationship for 10 fucking years but gives it up only to find the someone else instantly.

Skip if you feel energetic or watch if you feel lazy

the main idea about one night relation
i was disappointed really i thought the plot was going to be amazing
although the story was very promising but it was really shallow & no depth in it
i saw the main actress wasn't on the required level in my opinion
but in spite of that it's an easy fast watchable movie
it's one time watch movie when you are bored that's all
but not the type you can keep to watch time after time
my first time to see yoo yeon he is an amazing actor
he delivered you the right feeling which makes ur heart jump out LOL
wish to see him more in main roles

Beware of shallow waters...

From the description of the summary, I was imagining some beautiful scenic views from Seoul to Busan throughout the train journey. I was wrong, like always.

I liked the ML but could not muster the same emotion for the FL. They do have a fairly good amount of chemistry, which was plausible but I was thinking of skipping or giving up the movie multiple times mostly because of her.

Below are the reasons -

1) She's the Team Leader but using a broken laptop and even sharing it with her long term boyfriend? It should have been the office property, no? I get the 'metaphor' but at least make it believable. For a big company like hers, faulty laptops are not something tolerable.

2) She forgot her phone and laptop on the day of the presentation. Shit does happen but I did not see the reason why she was put down as a leader in the first place. She did not make a convincing boss. She was distracted most of her time in the office. Even the contract signed by the athlete was signed by ML's help. She initially lied that she got him for them, never came clean about it but enjoyed the compliments and the benefits of having him under their wings. All she did was run in heels, cried a little, ate a little, drank a little, and slept with ML. Oh, and lied through her teeth about being chic and cool after the break-up.

Her incompetence annoyed me more than anything else.

3) She thought she was better than ML because she had integrity and commitment towards her boyfriend and immediately changed her mind after a foot rub. The reason was so lame. Good guy, genuine smile to a child, bla bla bla. Hell, a serial killer would have mutilated her in the first half an hour. She was lucky this guy is cute, decent, and wanted/liked her. I didn't like how she bragged that she is still 'marketable' and took/stole his photos to quietly brag at her friends that this-cute-guy-wanted-to-sleep-with-me-okay-so-I-still-have-value while affirming that her sex is better because it included true emotion (love?which is a joke, to be honest)

The conversation was revolved on why they can or cannot sleep with each other and it was the shallowest thing ever. Their principles and justifications of why they fucked the way that they do. That was not a deep conversation, just reasons or preference for a delicate theme. It's the same as me arguing with a friend why we like/don't like spicy food. Deep conversations are hopes and dreams and traumas and scars and childhood memories. Things that moved you. Things that break you. None of them came with the price of a condom.

4) Her friends more or less influenced her to be toxic. They didn't even listen attentively to her. All they cared about was gossips and the possibility of her fucking her brains out since she was officially single. I don't understand why would they discuss having a one-night-stand so loud at a coffee shop though. Bragging rights?

5) By the end of the movie I sorely wished her head to be hit by more balls. Maybe she will see some sense.

I was glad I finished it at last. I can see the character arc for ML (he did try not to sleep with her to prove a point lol) but did not see the same thing with FL (stayed in a boring relationship, broke up because of the ONS, in denial with her feeling because she didn't want to get hurt but ended up hurting more people with her lies lol), but love conquers all (even plot holes in the size of Mariana Trench) and lastly, we have the cliche catch-me-before-I-go-running scene.

Why would I expect more from a rom-com?

I love the characters. Like half of the duration was the one day they met until they separated, but it didn't bore me at all. Not slow nor too fast, just right to build the characters' relationship in the movie.
I hoped they didn't do it, and got a little disappointed that the woman gave in at the end. She was defined as iron wall after all!!! But we can see the charming guy attracted her from the start, so I can see it coming,, but in one day really!!!.... Hahaha...
Well,, maybe it has to do with the title itself, 'Mood of the Day'.
Watch till the very end for a nice advice for you who might inspired by the characters ????

Lovestory ❤️

Deceptively simple but clever plot. Movie is extremely well paced and highly entertaining. Never a dull moment. Yoo Yeon Seok's playboy character was very well written and he played it well. While boldly declaring his sexual attraction to Moon, who was a stranger on the train, Yoo was cheeky yet oozed charm throughout the journey, without coming across one bit as a creepy, sleazy predator. It was hilarious watching him played cool as a cucumber while Moon was desperately trying to thwart his smooth advances.
