Blood
this drama I had doubts I would stay with for 20 episodes but in the end I completed in binge session of last 3 episodes. I think it started out better、 then too much unconvincing romance from around episode 8 [do people really turn 180 degrees round in love-hate relationship?] spoilt it for me but more tension and plot turns and surprises toward end kept me hooked. I do think the romance element was really very weak spot in this drama and truly interfered with the drama but luckily the drama improved and in last episodes I was hooked to see what happened next. as it turned out the drama in the final ending was not for me as good as expected, although the final twist was very original and surprising. I have my own individualistic interpretation about the last two episodes and romance ending which others may not agree with but for me is as convincing as what we are maybe expected to feel 〜that is Park Ji Sang's true love was Joo Hyun Wooー there are hints all over the earlier episodes.ーso when Hyun Woo died in episode 19 Ji Sang was emotionally dead and more accepting of his own sacrifice because his true love was gone. I never found the relationship between Ji Sang and Ri Ta convincing and still less the one created from thin air between Hyun Woo and Soo Eun. I am not saying there was no feeling between him and Ri Ta, just that it was not as deep as for Hyun Woo. the only reason this was not spelled out in my opinion was because they wanted the show to conform to the conventional boy-girl romance、 the last romantic scene between Ji Sang and Ri Ta was emotional bit for me seems very artificial and conventional〜but maybe this is just my fantasy。 also what was the last part all about? total fantasy ?Ri Ta meet an unknown brother or clone of Ji Sang in Kochenia? or had she died and met him in the afterlife? just a continuation of the unconvincing romance to give sort of happy ending I feel。 but in all a very enjoyable drama with excellent start and sufficient interest to stick with to the end 。Was this review helpful to you?
Another thing is that, gu hye sung isn't a good actress. I watched her in BOF and idk if she was alright or I was blinded by handsome boys but I didn't feel anything. This time, I realised how bad she was. Her reactions are WAY too EXAGGERATED. Like even I can act better than her. Her actions are just so awkward.
Anh Jae hyun was alright I reckon. He was pretty good. But I couldn't watch it anymore because there wasn't really anything special. It boring and there were lots of bad reviews so I decided NAHHH.
(Btw....I didn't really concentrate on the music or maybe There wasn't much so I just rated it in between)

1. Story
Okay, I will be 100% honest, I really think the story-line to this drama is really intriguing. I think that it has many elements that are not cliche and can be found very enjoyable. I was constantly wondering when and how the story would develop and couldn't wait to find out more secrets behind the virus.
2. Actors
I will once again be completely honest. I think that most of the actors in this drama did wonderfully. I think since Ahn Jae Hyun us a relatively new actor that showed a bit and I personally have never been able to stand the acting of Gu Hye Seon; however, I think there are those who do not mind her acting and have nothing further to say about her. Anyway, the other actors did an amazing job. Whether it was from the hospital patients to the doctors and nurses, there were mostly good and great actors.
3. Execution
With everything seeming really good, some of you might want to hop on over to your favourite drama site and start watching this right now, but I have some bad news. While the cast and story are good, the execution is not. There are scenes that are extremely slow and draggy because of the way the directors chose to portray certain scenes or moments. Some scenes that only would require one or two minutes to get the point, seem to drag on for at least ten; while other moments leave you confused, because something important was glossed over too quickly.
4. The Hype and the Hate
Honestly, this is one of the many dramas that can go either way, you either love it or hate it. Honestly, I think there's a reason why. I'm not claiming this to be the truth, but I have seen this happen again and again on many occasions and even with myself when I first started dramas.
Many of the people who are giving this drama a good to moderate review, seem to be those who have not watched many dramas yet or have only been drama watching for a couple of years. Even when I first started my drama addiction, Panda and Hedgehog along with Full House Take 2 were some of the best dramas I had ever seen. Looking back on them, yeah they were good and cute, but there were so many more that were just, better.
As for the ones who seem to hate it or don't understand the hype, they are mostly what I would call veteran drama watchers. Those who have seen enough of the older dramas to recognize who the supporting roles are and can even tell in what drama the set has been previously used. These seems to be a majority of the people who can pick out the flaws a little better and were expecting more.
Now, not everyone, this is just some of my observation along with generalization, but this might help you decide if you want to watch this drama. If you're fairly new to dramas, you might like it. If you're a long time drama fan, you might not.
Anyway, I hope this can be of help. for my 2017 drama resolution, instead of resolving never to drop a drama, I am resolved to never force myself to watch one.

Atisan mainly solved the problem for me, but after it stopped working, ALL SCENES INVOLVING OPERATIONS WERE GONE and it seems that it started going away from the medical genre. All hospital scenes were talk, talk, talk (or patients being given shots or being taken blood from). Nonetheless, I continued watching because I wanted to know how the problems will end but IT STILL FAILED MY EXPECTATIONS—especially the ending.
The ending left too many unanswered questions with the most important being "Were the patients in Ward 21A cured?" Because of too much focus on Ji Sang and his death wish, all the patients were ignored (or no one knows if they were really cured). The next important thing was "Who rescued Yoo Ri Ta at the end?" (Watch the ending if you haven't yet to know what I'm talking about and WHY I used "who".)
As for the acting, I'm actually more impressed with the acting of the antagonists especially Director Lee Jae Wook. He gave so much into his work that I was so pissed off by his character (which is a good thing). On the other hand, Min Ga Yeon became one of my favorite characters (the other one being Joo Hyun Woo because his life's work is my frustration in life, seriously I want to be like him) because I totally didn't expect her real nature. Her seemingly innocent character was so well-done that I truly loved her as the series went on.
Let's move on to the music. Unfortunately, music from Blood wasn't memorable to me at all. Music is there to sway our hearts, but it failed its job.
Even if I mentioned a lot of fail parts I still give the drama a high rewatch value because of the following reasons: nice startup story, Joo Hyun Woo, and LUUVY!!! LUUVY is the biggest reason I look forward to scenes at Park Ji Sang's house aside from Joo Hyun Woo. I love this robot so much.
As for those who are planning to watch blood, STILL, WATCH IT. Even if you're feeling a bit disappointed right now. The trick is, don't have high expectations (like I did). I'm not forcing you, though. After all it's a unique piece of entertainment that exists just for entertaining you. Don't get too serious over it.

I started to watch this kdrama just because. But I didn't think this kdrama would make me cry this much. The story is absolutely twisted! Well, what was I expecting? This is a vampire kdrama.
The actors were amazing. I liked the vampire effect, I can't deny it. The main character did it awesome.
I didn't like the story that much, it was really interesting. I was amazed every episode even tho it started a bit slow. I was like yawning a few times, then when the action came I was awake again!
It was my first drama about doctors and vampires. It's an odd combination but it was okay.
The OST wasn't bad. I liked two songs, but I expected more.
Overall, actors did it great. 10/10. But the story hurt me and got me confused. I wouldn't rewatch it.

So I started watching this drama after the lead actors got married in real life. I expected an overflowing CHEMISTRY and while there certainly was, the director seriously underdeveloped the romance storyline and overall, messed up an interesting relation that could have been unforgettable. I wasn't completely disappointed as there are parts I really enjoyed and I adored Jung Hae In (male lead's sidekick), he was so darn pure and funny. Which is why we kinda come to resent the male lead in the end...
Male lead - Started out so strong, so intriguing and yea, so HOT as a vampire doctor. I won't deny that. For the first 5 eps I was totally on board with him and female lead, I didn't mind the slow progress, in hope that it would get better but fuvk, it does not. While other tsuderes like him melt about halfway through the drama, he just freaking doesn't, until is dumb ass decisions got everyone dear around him (almost everyone) KILLED. Wtf is that, his uselessness towards the end of the drama really frustrated me and the story dragged for so long I had to force myself through 20 eps.
Female lead - Again, started out strong as a brilliant surgeon who doesn't let anyone trample over her. I liked that. But then it became her only trait, HOLY STUBBORNESS. For the life of me I could not understand why the director let her character became so overbearing and she is always butting head with the male lead for the DUMBEST reasons.
It's unfortunate how it ends because this series started out with so much potential and an actual interesting premise. I won't say I regret watching it but I can't exactly I recommend it to anyone else either unless you want minimal romance, a bunch of random and confusing plots thrown together to keep the show "suspenseful" but actually made the story obnoxious to viewers.
I have to congratulate the actors though for making the show somewhat watchable despite the materials they've been given.

10% Romance 90% nonsense
So the first few episodes were actually good. But then once it reached to farther episodes I got more and more bored and confused.
I basically just skip to the scenes between the main 2.
Then once someone told me that they only kiss once, I realized that if I keep watching this I'll just waste my time.
So I instead skipped every episode and went immediately to the last episode.
The ending was quite bad too.
The only thing I actually like is the fact that the ML is one of my favorite actors ever since he casted in "Cinderella and the four knights"
And "Love with flaws"
I actually thought this would be like a drama where the vampire meets the girl and like needs to live somewhere so she lets him stay at her house and along the way she'll see more evidence pointing to him being a vampire.
I actually am a sucker for romance drama's so I thought this was also one of them. Sad to say that it wasn't.
But the main couple don't really seem to have chemistry in the first place.

Acting:
The main reason why I strayed away from touching this drama was a clip of GHS's acting with her annoying tone she portrayed as YRT/CY and AJH's stutters/mumbles as PJS. My first thought before touching that video was, "hey, it couldn't be that bad...everyone seems to drop this drama at episode 3...cant be that bad, right?" well it was and I didn't even last the entire video. Eventually, I decided to give this drama a try and I recommend just bearing through the drama by ignoring GHS's voice. Just think that maybe after her character learns to be civilized, it'll get better. I understand that she was trying to execute a new acting style, but from episode 1-5, it was too much. As for AJH, it was a surprise after hearing that he would be taking on a lead role after being given minor/supporting roles. He did well in my opinion, but I do agree that he did mumble even though I don't fully speak korean. Overall, the acting was alright, though it could of been better. I did notice that he had body language issues. Most of his scenes where they showed him standing and conversing with people, he stood stiff without moving much. It was kind of boring to watch.
Story:
The story started out exciting with having the child actor as PJS explain what he is and how he felt as someone infected. I knew that the back story will be brought into episode 2+ which was why i decided to stay. If not, I would of dropped it as soon as episode 1 ended. The story was great with the medical sides in between, but after they finished with the medical stuff, I noticed that the majority of scenes were the characters talking and explaining with lots of complicated dialogue. At times, it got so boring I didn't even know what they were discussing. Even the "vampire" transformations was cut down which made the action scenes look petty (explanation will be scene during episode 20) Also, I just wished that they had more freedom on set. All we saw were houses, hallways, hospital rooms and more hallways. Low budget? Don't even get me started on the romance. How did it even start? Wasn't it too rushed when he revealed his most kept secret? Oh man don't even get me started about the ending too.
Positive:
Personally, I hated the ending because of certain cliches, but I feel that what had happened was right. What I liked about this drama was how they showed the importance of cherishing the present and not taking it for granted or changing the life span of a human... basically saying nothing will last forever. I was glad that at some scenes, the other actors/actresses were able to make me cry. Not that I enjoy crying, but if a really heart wrenching scene is able to make me cry, it means they had done well. One thing I can say 100% certainty is that I loved the ost. Tiffany's song is by far my favorite still.
Ending:
Before I told my friends to not watch because of how the acting was and the critics, but now I tell them to just tolerate and ignore the acting until it gets good.
