The story itself isn't new, it holds that feeling of movies about youth that were a lot on TV on the afternoons when I was a kid. But, even if the story is a cliche, it was so well done and delivered that it feels kind of new.
The acting is simply superb. You laugh when they do, and you dehidrate yourself to death when they cry. The young actors showed such strong emotions you can't help but get choked up at times. It's like you are member of the group as well. Kim So Hyun and Kyungsoo were obviously the main ones, and it's easier to bond with them, since we see things through their eyes. But the other young actors did such a good job, you can't help but relate and feel whatever they're feeling too.
The OST was good and fit well in the story. Specially because the movie plays itself around a radio show, if the music was messy it certainly would not have had the same impact.
I wouldn't watch it again, simply because the movie was about the plot twist, at least for me. Now that I know what happens, I don't want to inflict that pain upon me again. But if I do need to cry, this a go-to, at any time.

I'm a crybaby for movies, dramas, series, and pretty much everything you can think about it, but I wasn't expecting to cry while watching Pure Love. But, when I realised, I was already in tears with my mom in the next room asking why was I crying so loud lol
I also didn't expected a hell of a story, however, the purity, simplicity and the development really touched me.
I really appreciate So Hyun's acting, it's the first movie she stars in that I have watched, but she was such a good actress as she is on dramas (that's for me, at least).
It's a sad yet touching story, and the lightness that surrounds the narrative helps a lot the "crying like a baby" process.

I loved the story and the acting was fantastic. I'm still speechless how good Do Kyungsoo actually acts. He is really talented.
All in all this is a really good movie with lovely characters and a good plot.

A história se passa nos anos 80. Um grupo de amigos voltam da cidade para passar as férias de verão com uma amiga que não sai da ilha onde eles residem por conta de uma limitação física. Ela sonha em fazer uma cirurgia de correção para poder se juntar a seus amigos na cidade e estudar para se tornar locutora de rádio. Contudo, seus sonhos acabam sendo frustrados pela ignorância do pai e desonestidade do médico a levando a um final trágico que marca para sempre o grupo de amigos.
Já na quarta década da vida eles entram em contato com fragmentos do passado na forma de anotações do diário da Soo Ok e as músicas que ela ouvia na época, quando um pacote misterioso contendo esses artefatos do passado chegam as mãos de Beom Shil que apresenta um programa de rádio, os amigos são transportados para as memórias daquele último verão juntos.
O filme é muito emocionante porque os atores conseguiram transmitir toda a emoção necessária da existência desses personagens. Kim So Hyun e o D.O estão perfeitos em seus papéis (bem como os outros atores) e a trilha sonora, um verdadeiro primor. Até hoje toda vez que ouço Dust in the wind eu lembro do filme.
Filme mais que recomendado.

Não é uma história inovadora, é sim previsível, mas não deixa de ser tocante
Personagens reais com emoções bem colocadas e com uma amizade que foi lindamente retratada, mas claro que tem também um romance no meio pois entre seus amigos está o tímido Bum Sil, que é completamente apaixonado por Soodust in the wind Ok.Não é uma história inovadora, é sim previsível mas não deixa de ser tocante.
Por mais doloroso que seja, gostei da forma que essa história se desenrolou. O começo é um pouco arrastado, mas vale a pena continuar.
A ost acompanhou muito as emoções que as cenas passavam, foi marcante e me fez ficar viciada em algumas .
Se você quiser chorar essa é a produção indicada.
