Mystery. Darkness. Mask. Curiosity Those are the words that come to mind when I think of FL. I'm curious in how the starting is related to them as well ad the missing people reports It isn't the best but I'm willing to carry on to see where this will lead me

Getting my hopes up despite past burns

I've been wanting to watch this drama for quite some time. I did start it several times but couldn't get past the first few minutes, which were darker than I'm used to (at least from an Asian drama, the ones I watched so far tend to limit the amount of violence on screen, which I really appreciate). But I was finally able to get past that sequence and found the rest of the episode to be quite enjoyable.

I love the way the jenny(?)'s time at the mansion is shown...intentional or not, there was very Beauty and the Beast feel to it. I almost expected to see some talking furniture... :)

Another reason I hesitated to start the show was because I was badly burned by the ending....without giving away any plot-lines, wtf was that ending all about? So I really don't want to invest in another couple only to have my pairing hopes dashed in the last 2 minutes of the last episode. Which is something Chinese dramas seem to excel at. I can only surmise that Chinese directors must be true sadists, and the audience masochists...nothing else can explain the consistent destruction of the OTP pairings time and again. Anyway fingers crossed that LMIYD will buck the trend and give me the satisfying ending I desperately crave

Criminal Minds meets Sherlock Holmes

This is a great start to a mystery drama. I have no idea who Mr. Bo is and now I want more. I’ve come to realize that the use of music throughout the episodes shows that it will be an important role in the episodes to come. Its stating a precedent in the future of this drama.
The character interaction and acting wise, set a tone for what to expect from this drama.
Also not going to lie, almost died laughing at the Night visions glasses. He just looked so serious, and so funny.

Definiely interesting, just a weak start.

To be honest the opening song and credits made me think this was a copy cat of the many murder mystery shows out there. Then it started up with this crazy sequence of scenes that didn't seem to fit. I had the urge to just quit! But that's not how you try out a drama.

Soon the show evened out and things began to fall into place about the beginning sequences. You get the idea, but there's still PLENTY of mystery.

By the 22 min mark I was hooked. The actors are very compelling. There's something about Ma Sandra that just captivates me as I watch her.

I enjoy this setup of Bo being this mysterious (and extremely good looking) man living in a villa. There's something in his locked room! All kinds of mysteries and the sweet Jian Yao who needs to solve it.

It's kind of like a rough Beauty and the Beast setup. Don't go into the west wing. Can you love this monster of a man. So, yeah I'm in for trying this.

There's plenty of side story going on as Jian Yao's brother (but I'm thinking would be boyfriend? it was very unclear to me) is a detective trying to solve these missing person cases. Clearly Bo has something to do with crime solving.

I'm looking forward to the reveal of the story and development of the characters.
