Wow. It really got me to think…

Wow.

It really got me to think of the question. Are monsters born or are they made? In the end, the doctor says, "I won," he was able to see the monsters come to life, but were they born or were they made? Honestly, can it be said that he was rooting for one or the other? Sure, you could say, "well the girl was saying that he wanted monsters so he wouldn't feel like he was the only one, like it was his fault and his own wrongdoing," but that doesn't say whether or not you're raised or born a monster. Personally, I think it's a combination of the two (some factors heavier than others depending on the various influences and opportunities), but within the confines of the story I come to the question and find I still haven't an answer. He won, he made the monsters, but was it because the monsters were always there or because they were created? Hmm... the more I think of it though, I think that in this story, monsters are made, that he wanted monsters to be made so that he could feel that he was the way his was because of those who influenced his life... but still when he talked about how people come from normal backgrounds and end up serial killers it was as if he were trying to say that some people are just born that way. His experiment showed that in 7 individuals, he could bring 5 to commit murder, 1 ready to do so, and another bystander who was in favor of the murder but physically couldn't commit it. It also left 1 to commit suicide to stop himself from becoming a monster (but the question still stands, was he always a monster he was simply suppressing, or was he trying to stop himself from developing into one). So, it seems as if the doctor mostly helped monsters become brought out, but did he create them or did he lure them out of where they were already waiting?

So yes, the doctor one, he a majority of his subjects reveal their monstrous potential, but what was the answer to his question, or to what was originally Choi Chihoon's question?

Ugh and that scene with Park was just... wow I mean that acting was absolutely beautiful, the one in the interrogation room.

Honestly I'm so impressed by this show and so grateful that I came across it. Very well done.

ending not sufficiant.

the ending wasn't enough for me, they should have said something like they always did at the beginning of each episode....but I think the doctor needed to die for all of this to end - but I don't think he should have said he won - b/c anyone in their right mind would want to kill him for doing what he did - and him being locked away is no guarantee he will leave these kids alone....I am glad none of the guys I liked died, but the ending still could have been better with more closure....

But did he really win?

Tbh, this ending really makes me think about this question. On the one hand, we have that crazy psychologist who, without a doubt, can be classified as a monster. On the other hand, we have 8 students who, on top of having to deal with their own problems, were provoked by the doctor and tortured in a psychological way. After hoping it was finally over, they hear of their friend having committed suicide because of the very person who's been making it hard for them. So is it really all that monstrous to want revenge? Not that there's an excuse for killing someone but is it really fair to weigh their action the same as his random and selfish killing of numerous people? In the end, didn't the doctor just confirm that he was the bigger monster because he was the one who made them that desperate?
On the other hand, they did kill him, in a way. But does that really make them the same?
I'll definitely be thinking about this drama for the next few days because I think that the answer given to us is not sufficient. So are people born monsters or are monsters made? I guess it's up to us to decide...

Monsters

The doctor won; he turned them into monsters. And even though I like the idea that for once they let killed the criminal instead of letting the police take care of things, I still have mixing feelings about it.

Yun Su's death wasn't something I appreciated either because if you wants to make monsters then make all of them become monsters.

Some things left open especially Yeon Jae's problem with his mother. Unexplained things in mystery dramas piss me off the most but overall, this drama was nice to watch.

Good, but could have been better.

Why did Yunsu die? Why? I loved him the most. I really, really wanted him to survive this. He could have. :(

And what was that weird thing with the teacher being alive? I think they should have left that out. Either I didn't get it or it was not explained at all.

Also, now the Doctor really won. They should've let him go to jail and they would've won. But they were all so broken during those last scenes..

Some things that bothered me: When it first happened I thought it was my mistake for missing the earpiece, but in this episode the Cameraman really couldn't hear but still talked normally. That was weird.

Then the falling scene, the doctor's arms weren't stretched and his fingers weren't pressed onto the asphalt. It looked so fake. They could have done a better job with that.

Still, I liked how the episode was mostly talking but still intense. Overall, I think the ending was fitting and I'm glad I watched this Drama.

A Crescendo? then Bang!

When I started on this drama, I knew who would take center-stage in the final showdown even if a little bit later it also became obvious just by character introductions (and the voice over). Though I?ve found myself right in almost every guesses, after all the mysteries weren?t really meant to be complicated, as the drama did prove its central theme. Yes, the end was obvious, but this finale was satisfactorily done. I got the showdown I anticipated, even if it lacks some grit from Baek Sung Hyun?s acting. The worries I?ve had along the drama?s progress indeed proved to be loose ends. One of which is Jo Young Jae?s actual issues with his mother never got it?s full explanation while we?ve been submitted to Kim Young Kwang?s many over-the-top scenes. There?s also inconsistencies with Moo Yeol and Eun Sung?s relationship to Kim Jin Su?s love letter and Eun Sung?s initial aggression and their breakup. We even have a last-minute twist with the dead teacher, which seems farfetched just to put a little spin and bring the final showdown. Let?s just say they were minor blemishes that weren?t executed properly in a short series, and I admit this drama can actually get away with it and did.
