it really capture the pure romance, the way the characters act are also so cool, compared to the other drams I watched. When I started watching it, I just couldn't stop. Everyday, when I get home, I just open my computer and start watching it.
The main characters were amazing. The guy was intelligent, cool, good at sports and also at computer. The girl was smart, kind, beautiful and good at playing games at the computer. They were such a good couple!!! The 3 friends of the main characters, the guy, were so hilarious and humorous, they made me laugh so hard. (ps. maybe its just me who thinks they are funny cause they were of speaking or jokes, i'm half chinese so... maybe its just me)
The plot was really amazing.
REALLY GOOD DRAMA, I RECOMMEND IT!!!
Its a pity that it didn't showed us their marriage.
But great story!!!

Talking about the story which was newer to me and really enjoyed it. The drama was going very smoothly that I even can't realised that when it comes to an end. The best part of the drama which I personally liked the friendship of both the side i.e girls and boys group and also their sincerity towards the both main lead role.
Coming to the characters both the main cast were superb and cute specially Xiao Nai (Yang Yang) .And the other characters were done the great job.
You may watch this drama with English subtitles on Viki, Wtv and YouTube.
Love from India❤️

Acting: oh my god it was so awkward watching them act, the male lead only has that one expression the whole time..
Music: Theme song is one of my favourite chinese songs so i have to give credit to that
Overall: Popular drama but doesn't live up to expectations the more you watch it

Good story + acting, but directors watered down WeiWei
I really enjoyed the basic plot of meeting in the online game (first third of episodes), leading to a real relationship (second third), with the business aspects of the gaming industry (last third). Good chemistry between the leads, and between the four guys (Xiao Nai and roommates). I liked the way they constructed some of the lessons about reasonable behaviour, for example when FL WeiWei explains "love" to SML Cao Guang. All of the characters were very stereotypical and pretty one-dimensional with no real character growth. Since there were so many characters, that was mostly OK.
The movie version of LoveO2O handled WeiWei's character MUCH more effectively. In the TV serial, she is an empty shadow that is hard to respect. (I think the actress did a good job, but the script & directors failed.)
Loved the visual presentation of the game. I would probably enjoy playing it. Music was very repetitive / annoying... almost anime... enough so that the non-watchers in my household knew what scenes were the romantic scenes and what were the busy/work scenes.
I found myself rewatching a lot of the early episodes, because of the game graphics, the relationship development, and details like the YuGong's failures when he used idioms. Subtitles were excellent, even the idioms, for example YuGong's idiom mistake 暗度仓库 (an du cang ku = hidden warehouse) which should have been 暗度陈仓 (an du chen cang = secret liason) was translated as "eating the forbidden brew" and "eating the forbidden fruit" respectively.
DISLIKES
* Kiss scenes. She looks downright terrified in almost every kiss scene (even the one where she's daydreaming).
* Bei WeiWei is supposed to be a really strong character. She's supposed to be #1 2nd year computer science student, at #1 STEM school in China, #1 female player in the server / #6 overall. She runs circles around the guy-programmers. But during the last third of the episodes, they completely water her down. UGH. She gets food for the guys while they do the real work. When they do the final couples-quest, he's the one who gets all the puzzle-solving while she sits in a dark room... it's not a couple's quest at all. She raises baby tigers rather than work or go on complicated quests.
* There's a layer of controlling somewhat-creepy behaviour from Xiao Nai. It's OK in the first half (he knows who she is while she doesn't, but he doesn't abuse that knowledge). But in the second half, it changes -- her salary even goes into his bank account not hers. She isn't given choices about ANYTHING -- for example , even though we know she'd choose to marry him and not return to her parents, he doesn't ask about either... even their wedding night he says "I can't wait any longer" . She isn't an equal in the relationship.
* There were some minor plot gaps, for example she knows he's a 4th year student at same university who wasn't living on campus for the first half of the year... but even when they finally meet F2F, that's somehow been forgotten.
* Some of the computer science items are atrocious... for example, the "server statistics" in one of the last episodes is (literally) just a directory listing!!!
* WeiWei's roommate ErXi was unbelievably annoying. (Actress was fine, character was not.)

WHY IS THIS SO OVERRATED!!!
Although I don't have great expectations from cdramas, but this one thrashed me from the left and right, maybe because of the whooping reviews I found everywhere. The male lead is a typical drama lead, exceeding in every parameter at academics, sports, looks and whatever you could think of. All the girls on the campus are mad behind him. He was monotonous, and there was seriously no character growth even after falling in love. The love story had no depth. There was no serious plot.
The only good part of the show was the inclusion of online gaming. Gaming shots were aesthetically shot, and convos between players seemed something different from the og pack.
This might prove a good drama, for someone who is thinking to start dramas, and loves
campus stories.

Let's talk about the characters and dialogues
I watched this 3 years ago but writing this now..... I don't know from where should I start...The cast was amazing( I mean their visuals) but their chemistry was a bit off...The story was okay as it's about healthy relationship with no communication gap and misunderstandings but what was that??? Is this a rom-com?? I don't think so....Romance was it's okay type but comedy???? The friends of male lead were good and they did some comedy here but not an exact rom-com.....Okay!!! Let's talk about male leads character .....
Yang Yang is a very good actor but his character was so cold...I mean he's like a robot( no expressions)...In the whole drama, I can even count how many times he smiled with my fingers..And he's a bit dominating ......In this whole drama, there's a dialogue that left me speechless ....When FL had a fight with her bestfriend( I accept she's a bit annoying but still it's FL's bestfriend) and she left her house then she went to ML's house crying....and when she's crying about her fingh with her bestfriend male lead said " She's just a small part of your life but I'm your everything" woahhhhh.... What was that??? Is this what you call comforting someone?? And FL finds it comforting and smile...Hahaha... Apart from this he tried to do some romantic stuffs which seem okay!!
And now let's Female lead's character...
She's shown as a beauty with brain who's a computing genius and very good at studying....when I first saw how her character was I thought ohhh so it's about strong female lead who can take her stand and competent butttt despite being a talent student there's no use of that...There's not even a single time her talent is shown....For internship, she works at Male Lead's company so it's a very good chance to show her capability but at office all she did was ordering food for them,
getting matresses for them to sleep....I mean if they were going to make her character like this then they shouldn't have shown her as a talent and competent person....and her expressions like when male lead kisses her she stand lika a dead meat no movement at all....her lips were just sealed....
Only good thing about this drama is there are no misunderstandings like other typical rom-coms....and the character of ML's friends was also good... That's it about this drama....
So, if you're only looking for such drama which has no breakups, no misunderstandings then go for it otherwise it's a total waste off time( no even romance is on point and it won't keep you hooked)
Thank you for reading
Stay safe:)

Background Show
Blandest couple award goes to the main characters, Wei Wei and Xiao Nai! This was basically the POV and world of the benefits of being pretty - the two main characters were beautiful, smart, and pretty much flawless in every way. The main girl is basically a Mary Sue (and same goes for the main guy too tbh).My other problems with this show:
- Internal monologues, where we could hear all their thoughts but their real conversation is only like 2 sentences between each other
- No real conflict to speak of, so if you want a background show that doesn't require much thought, this show would be perfect for you
- Wei Wei has no personality, and is basically only there as Xiao Nai's pretty sidekick girlfriend, and Xiao Nai is constantly calling after her like a dog (this sounds terrible, but the way he always tells her to 'come here' or do this, and not making it as a request really reminds me of someone calling for their dog lol)
- The acting for the two main leads were wooden and unnatural, I really couldn't get into it lol
I almost dropped this show but I really have an inability to drop shows unless they're absolutely terrible so I stuck with this until the end. Maybe if I was 10 years younger, I would have enjoyed this more.

MUST
Honestly, my favorite drama watched this like 5 times this year already1. There isn't any scene that drags on for a long time
2. No misunderstanding
3. Yang Yang is so freaky in this drama omg
The first time I watched this was in 2018 because I was a fan of the male lead in The Oriental Odyssey. I decided to watch all his dramas and this was the first one I watched. This drama doesn't seem special, but I'm still obsessed. The story isn't draggy, the acting was good, and there were little to no issues with the plot.
I think there were only around 5 songs in the drama and because of the limited music choice, the music didn't always go with the scene as well.
There isn't anything special about this drama, the cast was fine, the music was ok, and the story was good, but everything fit together almost perfectly. This drama is my absolute comfort drama, the story is sort of half xianxia/wuxia and half modern. The male lead is almost clingy in some way, and is absolutely so arrogant, hes super freaky with it though. This drama isn't a 24 episode 2019-2020 romance drama. The main leads are not retarded, they don't break up. This story doesn't have much plot, its just mostly romance, so if your looking for something with more plot to it, this isn't the one for you.

Best Effort
I don’t usually make a review but this requires effort.Hands-down: Yang Yang is superb. As well as the male cast of the show. Even the spiteful and immature Cao Guang was superb.
The female cast was DISAPPOINTING truly. None had redeeming value whatsoever. Not even in looks, acting or even presence. The female ensemble was poorly chosen; I even feel like the team made budget cuts and decided to hire sub-par actresses.
I get the college-naive-first-time feel that the scriptwriter or the director was aiming for, but it was POORLY conceptualized. Nobody is that DUMB and NAIVE in college; and there are more sharp highschoolers than the female ensemble. And literally - the lead actress wasn’t even pretty. No X-factor and the director had her play a totally blank character. She faded out from the scenes and it was bothersome how annoyingly dense her character was. A conflict to the supposed “capable and smart” woman that the character is.
It was painful watching it. Yang Yang’s character and his friends were the ones that carried the whole drama. It would have been better if the direction of the drama was focused on their friendship and struggle in a start-up company. It would have been more interesting, and would’ve been better without the romance since the lead actress was dead as wood.

A one in a million
Ok i have to start with the fact that this drama was unlike any other drama I've seen.I first saw this drama last year and watched the first 10 minutes of the first episode and ended up dropping it, but last week i came across the first episode again on YouTube and since I had nothing better to do I clicked on it. I decided to not give up on it and told myself to watch until episode 3 and if I wasn't satisfied i would drop it... turns out when i got o episode 3 i started to love the drama. At the beginning the game parts bothered me but they soon grew on me and halfway through the drama those scenes stopped. I'm actually very glad i decided to give this drama a second chance.
What i liked about this drama was the fact that they didn't complicate the plot with over the top evil characters, annoying parents or misunderstanding between the leads. The story although it was a bit predictable and cliche it had it's own charm that made it different from other dramas.
The trust between the leads was also amazing. My favorite line was when xiao nai (yang yang) told the girl that he didn't want to hear things about his girlfriend from a third party, this is something we don't hear often in the drama world. Although i've seen many people commenting on the fact that their relationship was so perfect that it's impossible an unrealistic i would say otherwise, a relationship is all about communication and trust which was something they both had.
I would definitely give this drama a try.

• The story's premise is great, and the drama is generally very sweet. :)
• I enjoyed some of the side characters, especially Old Man Yu, and their stories!
• Oh, and the first half was fun because of the switching between game world and real world! (They stopped doing that later)
Now as for some things I did not like as much:
• The constant focus on FL's beauty. Her beauty always comes first before her skills, and she proves others "wrong"/surprises them... by being beautiful? All the while the show acts as if looks were not important.
• ML is a little too "perfect", I don't recall any moments of him acting in a normal, flawed, human way. I saw robots with more development than he had. :/ I don't know if it was the acting directions, but both ML/FL had very stiff delivery.
• I thought I was misunderstanding at first, but some really creepy stalking happens there.
• The "antagonist" storylines didn't have a very satisfying wrap-up.
