People change but can the heart adapt? Sin Joon Young and No Eul were in love in their younger days. But uncontrollable circumstances separated them and they went their separate ways. Joon Young is now a superstar actor and singer, while No Eul became a producer-director of documentaries. When their paths cross again years later, Joon Young discovers that No Eul is now a very different person than he remembered — materialistic and willing to do anything to get ahead. Is there any hope for Joon Young and No Eul to rekindle their past relationship?

Similarities
FL faces a lot of struggles
ML diagnosed with terminal disease

In UF the leads have a history with each other and reunite after the ML is diagnosed.

GiB the FL has a history with ML best friend, ML wants revenge for his friend but ultimately falls for FL. ML then is diagnosed with a terminal illness and pushes FL away and back to his best friend.

Similar cinematography with pretty landscapes and sharp visuals. There is a sick/disabled romantic lead in both dramas, though with completely different back stories. Prepare for painful melo in both.

Same writer, same elements. I'd definitely recommend Sorry, I love you to anyone who enjoys Uncontrollably Fond.

in both drama:
entertaining industry,
celebrity/actor ML and common/writer/producer FL romance,
one of them has cancer,
strong, independent FL,
likable SML.

ML's are different types, also secondary characters/relationships in Fantastic are more realistic (i think) and overall more positive vibe.

Fantastic is more emotional and multilayered, in first part you think it's more comedy-positive, but second part (more 3-5 episodes) are bomb of emotions, real feelings and realistic plot/characters phsicology, actions and reactions on events... everything...

both dramas realized in same year )))

I feel like the family situations in these dramas are very similar.
Also the love lines resemble each other.
There's also a hint of mystery and crime solving in each where the hero acts in the same way though not through the same methods.

Eun Soo is a pure but unsophisticated woman who runs a small resort inn with her father. Eun Soo is just an ordinary girl, but her life changes when she meets a man who's completely lost his memory. She takes him in and cares for him, and even gives him a name: "Baek Chang Ho". Love blossoms, and soon wedding bells can be heard.
But on the night of their wedding ceremony, Eun Soo's father passes away. And soon after, Chang Ho disappears too! In the blink of an eye, the two people Eun Soo loves most in the world have left her. But Chang Ho had his reasons for disappearing: his real name is Kang Hyun Woo, and he's heir to a large conglomerate. Even more, someone is plotting to kill him. Edit

The main male lead is predicted to die and the the main female is a bright women is brought down by her circumstances. Resistance to love and the solving of problems together.

Both are great romantic comedies.

Its similar as the male lead is in the entertainment industry. Male and female lead went to the same school, grew up in the same neighbourhood. The height difference. The difference is that uncontrollably fond is melo, sad and tragic , lovely runner is cute and time travelling but also sad and some type of tragic.
Recommended by The girl who has no life
- The leads both try to overcome their painful memories
- Both female leads are trying to hide pain
- Both male leads are a little mean to the female lead at first
- Both stories are not really that complicated
- Both are melodramas, filmed in winter
- The leads both knew each other ever since they where in high school

these two are the same because in UF he is told he will die, he does anything in his power to get the girl he wants. I haven’t watched IGMFLTY but i think you will like UF if you liked IGMFLTU.
