PERFECT FOR A RAINY EVENING

Omg this was so so good!! I liked this better than some longer dramas, which may sound ridiculous since this was just a two-episode drama special, but this was so easy to watch and had all the elements a good rom-com needs. The historical and time travel concept did not drag, and the ending was satisfying. For two one-hour episodes, this was perfect. This is by far one of my favourite Korean short drama/drama special!

The cast was also really well blended together, I loved seeing Ahn Hyo Seop here. The main leads were so cute together, I kept smiling and giggling like an idiot once they started liking each other. The final scene was also beautiful, such a satisfying ending.

This is a perfect evening watch, it's like watching a two-hour movie and I loved how it was raining while I was watching it, the perfect ambience for the concept of this drama. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a light but well-executed watch.

I absolutely loved the actress from Oh My Ghostess and K-SNL, KSG. She is a riot in everything she is in. Plus, she is the size of a young girl, so she is absolutely adorable in anything she wears and all rolls she plays. In this drama she is a high school student who doesnt have a purpose in life. She wishes to be swept away to a far away land on a very important day for her, academically. She finds herself splashing her way (hence, splash splash) to Josean where she turns her academically challenged thoughts of herself into a scholar as naturally, no one has any idea on modern thoughts. Living their lives in superstition and neo confuscionism, this fresh breath of air appears out of nowhere in the most hilarious of ways and the cute drama short takes on from there. I give this drama a 10 because for two episodes, it packs it nicely into what you want to see and when you want to see it. They could have turned this into a normal 16-24 episode drama, no problem. However, to keep it clever, I like that it is only 2 episodes. In my opinion, it makes it rewatchable. However, I have yet to ever (which, that has been a very long time) rewatch a drama. A general rule of thumb for me, is I like the feels the first time and I do not need them again. I like to savor what I have seen and preserve it. That way rewatching it doesnt do much to change that initial impact. But, I digress. For the short duration of the drama, the OST was cute and thanks to Viki I know what the words actually meant. Very cute, very original. Overall, this drama earns a 10 from me, and unless I hated a drama or absolutely love a drama, I generally do not review it. :-) Hope this helps!

Watch this now!

I LOVED THIS DRAMA!! I loved that it was short, without all the unnecessary filler that most K-dramas have. The storyline was so complete and well fleshed out that I didn't feel that there was anything missing (other than more episodes to watch the two of them together!)So romantic. The leads were WONDERFUL together!! Their chemistry was amazing. I smiled through most of the show.
The two main actors worked so well together, and both of their characters grew from knowing the other. It was sad for me to think about living his whole life never seeing her again, fathering tons of children for the monarchy, etc., but I guess there was no other way they could have resolved the time gap. I would have liked just a few more minutes of them together at the end, but there is literally nothing not to like about this drama. I think this is my new "palate cleansing" drama to watch after I've watched a drama that was unsatisfying. Watch it, you'll be glad you did!

Such a short & charming drama, surprisingly educational

Dan Bi (Kim Seul Gi), a senior high school student who is losing her motivation to study ends up time-travelling to the Joseon period at the day of her college test. She appears right in front of the palace royalties who were desperately calling for the rain. The King (Yoon Doo Joon) gets intrigued by her presence and knowledge, so they made a deal in order to make it possible for her to go back.

It's an easy drama to get through. Perfect for days when you don't feel like watching anything or don't know what to watch next. I enjoyed the comedy, the romance and character arcs, it's very satisfying and made me so happy, lol ^-^ The time travelling aspect is simple, the couple get to know each other naturally, it happens exactly how I want it; strong chemistry, fun banter, with cute classic cliché scenes. No palace intrigue as there's no time for that, but it's surprisingly educational. There was a hint of history woven holistically and that's a high-quality storytelling not to miss. Like I mentioned, it's short, only two episodes, so practically a movie. In case you're curious, it's really worth checking out!

Funny. Charming. Romantic. If I were to describe this special, these are the three words I would choose. This is a 2 part special that passes quickly with time due to the heart stirring and funny moments in this drama. Kim Seul Gi is one of my favorite comedic actresses and she does not fail to entertain as the main female role here. And cute guy Doojoon is wickedly handsome all the while possessing good talent as a charismatic actor. As much as I enjoy a good time travel drama, I also enjoy a nice romance paired with good chemistry. If you're a romantic type of person, I think you'll find the romance scenes here pleasing and just darn cute. It's a fun watch with a good story and a nice plot.

Definitely I would recommend this to anyone.

This drama is must watch for all K Drama Lover even to your mom & love ones, yes it suits for everyone. Every scene counts and draw into my heart. I Loved how they act and show their emotions in their eyes it's so beautiful.

Well at first i thought it's a long drama cause i saw a lot of BTS pictures on IG of the PD of this Special Drama until i saw some ending picture and i'm little bit curious about then i give it a shot and now i'm here loving it and definitely watch it again and again.

I cannot compare this one to all other cause it's really really promising the actors/actress the plot. all i can say is bravo 10/10. for real i know i'm not the only one who really loves it. i laughed i cried and imagined that i was the one who's from the future and meeting someone to the past.

well before i watch this i all ready knew who are the main characters and i'm really expecting for really good drama but they gave me a perfect year ending drama for 2015

for those who's confused to watch this. i'll tell you it's WORTH watching for so give it some try! your 2 Hours will be turned into years cause you'll go back the past LOL.

This is a short, movie length drama and it is highly watchable and re-watchable. It's a light rom-com, with great leads. I've watched both in other dramas and found them very enjoyable. The storyline is fun and fantasy and the chemistry is good with the main leads. Don't hesitate to watch this. It's a great Saturday afternoon time pass!

*This drama is reaaally fresh*

The story was way~ less wishy-whashy that was I excpected it to be! It's so sweet, and nice. The story rolled out so prettily and naturally.

I had ENOURMOUS laughter all along, it was so~ enjoyable! With so many tender parts~~
I'd say its a *confortable* drama to watch!

Both leading characters have great acting skills and the two other main characters are really attaching.
SeulGi is as cute as ever and DooJoon played his role eagerly! I'd say!!!

I'm GLAD they made this into a Drama Special, as I never go in the Movie Section.... and would have missed the opportunity!

I totally dig this rom-com series! Short, yet sweet and beautiful in all sense. I'm giving this a perfect rating because it made me laugh, cry and made me believe again in the magic of love without spending straight 16 hours or a week to make me experience those things. It just took me 2 hours or so to have that feel-good emotion.

Acting wise, all the actors have great chemistry. The actress really did her part well. She could make you cry and make you laugh out loud. Storyline is not pretentious. The sweet scenes are just so right; and the OST, darn perfect!

Anyone interested in watching this series will definitely enjoy every scene :))

Uncomplicated and Light watch!

I'm pleasantly surprised with this mini-drama and its quality.
Despite being a two-episode drama, it isn't flawless, with some logical inconsistencies (like her bottomless pit bag) and plot holes here and there. But the inclusion of historical references, humorous moments and fun chemistry between the leads made it a delightful watch.

Both ML and FL did a fantastic job, with FL stealing the show for me!
- I loved how the FL thought jumping in the puddle was better than writing exams!
- All the math and science learning moments between the leads were easy on the eyes and fun!
- A special mention of the female lead's reluctance to not leave her damn world for the male lead. (You go girl! Come back, suffer and learn Maths and Science). I really liked how ML was also a rational being.
- Oh, and the final Kiss! It was perfect and a bit heartbreaking!

Overall, the simplicity was refreshing, although I wished it was longer.
Recommended if you are looking for an uncomplicated and light watch!

My actual rating was 8.8/10. Honestly, 9 felt too high and 8.5 felt too low. But with all the rounding system Math that I have learnt - 9 it is here.

I was bored and wanted to find something short and light in between heavy duty & time consuming k-drama. So i watched Splash Splash Love. At first i did not put attention to this show coz the tittle is kinda irk me, i thought it's a cheesy teenage romance drama, But since it's short, it's kim seul gi from ohmyghost and the rating is quite high, i gave it a try.

Eh actually i was so hooked from the first episode. It's so much fun!! The r/s between the king and the gosam is so funny. I really like kim seu gil, she really can pull it off. The story is refreshing, it is also well written, the ending is so unexpectedly beautiful and unpredictable! Definitely different from other k-dramas. I love this show.

I hope more k-dramas like this, do not have so many episodes and filler in between, just film necessary scenes that are related to the story without milking the successful drama too much and keep it short.

Do not hesitate to watch this drama, highly recommended.

I've been hearing people talking about Splash Splash LOVE ever since it aired, but I didn't pay much attention to the hype. I didn't have time to watch a full-length historical drama and didn't know when I would get to it. For some reason I decided to check out the drama page and realized it was only 2 episodes, plus Kim Seul Gi was starring in it! Of course, I had to watch it. I may not have time to watch a full drama right now, but I certainly have 2 hours to spare. Every second of this drama was worth it.

Oddly enough, Splash Splash LOVE is the first time travel drama that I've watched and I absolutely adored it. The plot was so clever! Since I have no previous experience with time travel plots, I have nothing to compare it to so I don't know if this was and especially unique time travel drama, but I certainly enjoyed it. I loved the plot pacing and thought it was very well done for such a short drama. Plus everything tied together! The writers did an awesome job of including little details that ended up playing a part in the plot. The ending was really satisfying as well. I definitely wish that we could have more episodes, but at the same time I think that this length somehow worked.

The acting was awesome. The only cast member that I'm really familiar with is Kim Seul Gi and she did not disappoint. The rest of the cast was great as well. There wasn't a large cast of characters, but each person felt like they were fleshed out enough that we could get to know them to some extent within the 2 episodes.

I really liked the Splash Splash LOVE OST. It was refreshing compared to the other historical drama OSTs I've heard. I have nothing against the classic historical drama instrumental pieces, but this OST was just so new. It was quirky, but so was the drama and I really really liked it! The use of modern and upbeat songs added to the whole vibe of the show. Plus all of the songs are super catchy!

Overall I really liked Splash Splash LOVE. It's a drama I'd recommend to a friend I'm trying to get into dramas. I'd also watch it if you're in a drama slump. It's short and sweet but still lets you experience a range of emotions. It's a well rounded drama that took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did and I certainly wasn't expecting to get this attached to the characters. It was a pleasure to watch and I am so glad that I gave it a chance!
