6/10 - Seriously! Just trust him don't give any thing away.

Not telling Bai Qian the truth is gonna end badly. Or at least it should. When Bai Qian gets her memories back they better not sweep it all under the rug. She better get her memories back! I tire of this damsel. I want my fierce Disciple Seventeen/Queen back! How could this series lure me in with her awesomeness and then turn her into a "stupid clumsy girl! I mean even I thought she had set her house on fire again! Dramas no!

At least after Ye Hua is gone again for a 1 year and 9 months she letting it be known she's getting testy. Also, she talks Ye Hua into taking her with him. He does--cute journey montage--so points. Points deduction since he's still treating her like an idiot. She knows something is up. Bai Qian now has enough information to know that he was the snake/aka dragon. Not to mention the peaces there for him being the Crown Prince.

Yeah, I know. Silly me. They ain't gonna let her be smart. Though I will make jokes about Bai Qian and Ye Hua going under cover. *winks*

My poor Ghost Princess Yan Zhi!!!! I know she just wants love, but she needs to know First Ghost Prince can not, or should not, be trusted. I'm so nervous how this is going to go. Though I had this crazy idea of Yan Zhi going to the mermaid realm and somehow meeting Die Feng (Die Feng is back YESSSSSSSS!). They need a meet queue and a romance please. I really actually would have loved Yan Zhi with ninth disciple, but I do love Di Feng and her sweet innocence is just what he needs to rock his boat!

I can already tell this second princess of the sea is going to piss me off. I mean I get having a crush on a man Crown Prince you've never met. Fangirling. But boy did she transfer her affections to mortal Ye Hua super fast. Either she's a dolt or this mermaid king/prince she's supposed to marry must be awful. Either way I don't care for this plot. Though it introduces once again how to make Bai Qian immortal. Though I thought that little red dot on her forehead was more like a seal. Sealing away memories and her immortal powers.

I do find this new plot with the mermaid long winded and other things. Things feel . . . off. It should feel fast, but it all feels bog down. Maybe it was just this episode. Though I have a feeling it's because new characters are being introduced constantly and it's hard to become attached when others have been brought into our hearts. There's a certain balance when having a cast this big and I feel like it's off.

ep 17 spoilers ahead

This episode dragged a bit. Essentially we see:

1.Su Su journeys with YH to the immortal realm disguised as a boy. They run into 18th by the sea, and he thinks he is looking at Su Yin until Ye Hua (who is disguised as Hua Ye...great name) explains that the guy is a 'she' and a mortal, his wife. he asks that 18th keep this a secret and he agrees

2.The sea princess takes a liking for 'Hua Ye'

3.YH and Su Su go to the peach blossoms and YH hints that he will never see his family again but doesn't explain why. He is going to lay the foundation for his 'death'. YH is basically working to force the sea king to declare war himself.

4.FJ visits DH and destroys his game of go by slamming a bucket of nuts down (she really doesn't pay attention) but DH's face--like he has come to expect this--is priceless

Not a lot happened in this episode. It fell more like filler. Also, the tents of the soldiers look like pencils.
