Oh Yeon Joo's father, who is a Webtoon artist, mysteriously went missing while writing the last chapter of his webtoon "W". Yeon Joo goes to his office and is shocked to see a scene of a bloodied Kang Cheol, the main character of W, on her father's monitor. While reading something left behind by her father, a hand from the monitor pulled her in. She found herself on the rooftop of a building, next to a man lying down in blood. She manages to save him but is shocked to realize that the person she saved was Kang Cheol. Before she knew it, she was back in her father's office. She is then notified by her father's assistants that her father uploaded the chapter. When she takes a look at it, she sees herself and all that happened on the rooftop written in it. Meanwhile, in the Webtoon world, Kang Cheol is looking for her because he thinks she is the "Key to his life".

amazing opening

This is probably the best opening episode of any drama I've ever seen. From the first five minutes of this drama, I was addicted and lived through the story and the characters. They look very interesting and so does the story. I am very much looking forward to continuing.

It got me hyped for the second episode and it's not like three or four episodes spent on the past/flashback like Uncontrollably Fond, it's summarized perfectly and I know the characters >....<

amazing opening

This is probably the best opening episode of any drama i've ever watched. instead of the 3 episode exposition dump that i never really enjoy the writers used the premise to plop the viewer right in the middle of the action almost from word go. We're given only as much set up as we need to understand what's going on what's there is well paced and broken up so it doesn't drag the episode down. this approach not only makes the drama an addictive watch but it also leaves the drama somewhere to go. so often in k-drama the viewer is given all the goodies right in the beginning and there is little left to wonder about other than how it will all unfold.

Oh Yeon Joo is immediately likable and, at the moment at least, free from many of the cliched drama tropes that might illicit eye rolls. this is becoming somehting of a trend in dramas lately and i am lovin' it.

Kang Chul feels very standard issue leading man; revenge drama edition. but he didn't get much screen time so here's hoping the character fills out in a less predictable manner. Even if he doesn't Lee Jong Suk brings a levity and likability to his roles that i'm sure will lend the character some color.

Call Me a Fan, MyDramaListers

What a promising start! From the very first five minutes of this drama, I was already hooked and living the story through the characters. Oh Yeon Joo is, so far, definitely the kind of lead I would root for: she may be considered an underdog, but I don't see any trace of a lady-in-distress in her. And as a plus, Han Hyo Joo absolutely nailed her character! Kang Chul is still just a webtoon character for me, but I'm sure that as the drama progresses, he will become more than that. The story is amazing as well! There are many unique ideas in the world, but there are not so many that are executed as brilliantly as this one; the production team, the writer, and the actors all worked together to form one of the best first episodes I've seen in a while. My only complaint is that, due to the order the events were shown in, I was confused and wasn't sure about the direction of this drama... however, it was all eventually fixed. W, I came in with high expectations, and I received even more; I take my hat off to you. Before I sign out, though, I'd like to give a tip for future watchers: you're watching fiction, so don't expect anything (not even details) to be realistic according to our world; let yourself be submerged into the world of this drama... ;)

THIS IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

so i just finished this ep and i am shell shocked at how good it was! they created mystery ,chemistry and every other thing you can ask for in a drama in just one ep. you wanna know what's next and you wanna see how this relationship will work. first episodes are really important cause with them you realize whether you are gonna give it a shot or not and the writers did an awesome job for it. i can't wait for the rest

Why are You Still Not Seeing It?!

I have just watched the TV show and I have already got in too deep! That's an amazing episode! It's mind blowing! The main characters already have a great chemistry, the plot is really well done mainly in Kang Cheol's Word but it is still too early for me to judge. The drama didn't kill my beautiful expectations and just for that it gave me the chills!
The main actress is kind of nice up to now (Wow, seems live I've seen a lot already!). I don't know why she's been alway for soo long. I feel like we missed some great main girl material.
I'm already a fan of Lee Jong Suk and he made this character cool in a bastard way.
The music has potencial but I was so surprised in the entire episode and it's crazy development that I really didn't pay much attention to it.
The drama game has just started and I hope this drama doesn't let me down like all the others I've watched so far this year.

Love at first sight.

Oh, show. This is love at first sight.

All the preview of the plot that we have seen/heard were already laid out in the first episode. I leave it to the writer to unfold the story to me. I love the cast (Han Hyo-joo is love and Lee Jong-suk has that sexy eyes also the supporting characters on W's universe!). The episode was edited well plus the comics and drawings are just so pretty.
