Amazing series! ☺️❤️ I'll write right away that the review will be long, but read to the end, I think u'll like it and u'll even agree with something) at the end, my little note about the series and the real world).It gives off a bit of a vibe like the OST "My Demon", the same tragic love, seemingly with an impossible happy ending -, ending happily)
I like series where they mix historical events with reality mixed with magic)! It's so cute?! Gives some kind of ray of light in this everyday life..
A very beautiful love story of the main characters) I liked the plot, although in general it was a little cruel and illogical in relation to Sim Cheung
In the scenes where Heo Joon, for example, treated Sim Cheong badly, took off her bracelet and left her in a shopping center, kicked her out of the house, laughed at her and at the same time worried about where she could go or disappear..well, it was necessary to immediately treat her normally, not kick her out and teach her how and what to do, life in general, so that she would not get into troubles because of him..and so some kind of sadism glorified by the director lol ?
There were many hilarious moments with her, of course, at the beginning, when she did not know how to behave on earth and got into comical situations, and already returning to earth for the 2nd time she behaved "like an experienced woman"?
Also this vile friend of Heo Joona, Jo Nama Doo, who wanted to make money on the mermaid after finding out who Sim Cheung really was, but she didn't lose her head and erased his memory! ?? Bravo! I thought the director would screw up this situation and make it tragic again lol but everything turned out really cool lmao in general, there was a clear moment when Nam Doo caught her off guard, I thought that Heo Joon would be the first to see her as a mermaid..
Heo Joon is great! ☺️ the romantic love line was built very beautifully when he realized that Sim Cheung is a mermaid and protected her later (his actions were not always adequate*) such touching beautiful care) I enjoyed watching, I really enjoyed the script!?? I can't call it cloyingly sweet (although of course it turned out sweet and romantic) but extraordinary care and experiences were shown ..! The actors conveyed these feelings perfectly and looked good together☺️? very harmoniously selected for this role! Jun Ji Hyun & Lee Min Ho did a 100% great job! It was really nice to see them together!))
And Teo, such a modest guy, quietly took pictures of Sim Cheung hahaha
As for Cha Shi Ah and Teo, asians like this kind of plot line, in which the rejected heroine in love suddenly switches to his nondescript friend! It's a bit illogical since in life this is rare, for some reason women are shown in this role as not being able to choose but falling in love with the first person they meet out of desperation just to not be alone... in real life, most adequate people still prefer to choose guys based on their taste and not on the principle of "the dream of my heart refused me, well, ok, I'll be with his friend"?, this is somehow very disgusting ??♀️
I was very worried that in the end the Heo Joon & mermaid couple would not be harmed by his friend Nam Doo, since it was not entirely clear who ultimately killed them in their past life and who betrayed them, I was very afraid that this person would turn out to be Nam Doo in the end when he decided to play along with Heo Chi Hyun and kill Heo Joon .. but he did not do so, but revealed the plan of Heo Joon's non-native brother
Although Heo Chi eventually shot and hit the mermaid.I did not expect that she would protect Heo Joon with herself, and in general this scene could have been avoided if Heo Joon had dodged in time and Sim Cheung had not arrived initially, it is not clear why Heo Joon did not devote her to his plans in advance in order to avoid problems, but this was conceived in the script ..
It was frankly disgusting to watch how Heo Chi Hyun, non-native son, does not even try to save his father He Il Cheung, who provided him with a wonderful life, watching how his mother slowly kills He Il Cheung every day.. but if he really wanted to do the right thing or at least pay tribute to his care and love, he could have told Heo Joon the whole truth and saved his father! These are really such vile people and how they are ready to pass on for the sake of money.. Heo Chi Hyun would have left something from the inheritance anyway.. his actions surprised me of course.The only situations that were not revealed were how Heo Joon received the inheritance and what happened to Ma Dae Yeon..
The result: is a beautiful, very touching love story between a man and a mermaid with such tender, heartbreaking care? (Lee Min Ho just burned with tender love in Jun Ji Hyun’s gaze!) that you involuntarily become imbued with their feelings! ☺️ There is no naked passion here that makes u bored in TV series where the line is something like "met... fell in love... well, we can f*ck now" ??♂️, but strong feelings of love of a person who is ready to wait as long as it takes just to be with his beloved and who really suffers from separation but is ready to give everything just so that his beloved is comfortable... A wonderful film, after it there are no cloying sediments from untruth and all this pink snot, it seems so real... So tender... So deep ❤️
And now about real life ? if in reality all guys treated women with the same care and love, experiences as Heo Joon to Sim Cheung, then couples would be the happiest on earth lol but of course this does not happen often ..( or in most cases lol ) ... very rarely, remember ur friends... where a person cares about another not because he needs something from him in the future, not because of money or one night, but because he really loves and he enjoys caring and making another happy) ..yes this series is very far from reality and at the same time real, well probably because the actors perfectly conveyed this atmosphere of true love? I can say this series should be recommended to men, as a guide to action lol then there will be more happiness in life and koreans will stop being offended by idols?

Even though she's kind of annoying I know some people would probably not mind, so I say try it out! Except for her fuckery, the rest of the drama is amazing! I don't really like Lee Min Ho but this was his best drama in my opinion, and the plot, music, editing, action, romance was great. If the lead female (sorry I forgot her name) acted more dignified then I would give this drama a solid 9.5/10.

THIS is how it's supposed to be. Watch and learn...
This is how a romantic drama is supposed to be written. They pretty much wraped it up with a bow and served it to us. I love it.If you wanted something light-hearted, but not too light with a little bit of a complicated plot. This is definitely going to be your thing. The female lead was really dumb. But it was because she just came into this world. I just didn't like how she owes with listened to people who did not matter, or two people who did not have her best interest at heart, but it all turned out well enough.
I loved how the main male lead was amazing. He was if super strong and did not break up for no reason like the other ones do. And he protected her lucky promised I really like him.
I feel like everything had time to be answered and come to fruition, whereas otherwise fill abrupt and like an afterthought this one felt well-thought-out and while presented. And I would love to recommend it to everybody. It's so good. It's definitely worth the watch.

Gianna acting skills is as usual perfect and so lovely. Lee Min Ho has progress his skills and he is still very cute. Many situation is funny especially with Gianna.
You will spend good time with this light drama.

I'm Sad : a chance to remake this classic tale with real characters and insight
Um. I seem to differ from many viewers. I could not watch past Ep2. so this will be no more than my gut reaction to what I saw. I really wanted to like this: many reviews were ecstatic with it, but I could not bear to watch more, despite being a fan of LMH, and looking for ages for a place I could watch this.The story treatment is cliched beyond anything I can say, despite a rather original start to the scenario and the characters. I liked the opening in Joseon history, with the suggestion of foreshadowing 20thC events, and possible connections between past and future : the depiction of humans v mermaid were 'realistic' and pretty much believable.
Once in 20thC, our hero is a conman with a group of colleagues, and scenes with them ensemble were very engaging indeed. I had good hopes at this point.
Those very quickly evaporated. The 'holiday' scenes with the mermaid caught in his wardrobe, with legs, hiding in a sweatshirt ... OK, almost - she's hungry, raided his kitchen, dropped a mess everywhere and hid. When he tries to grab her she punches him across the room. Twice. Good fr her - but then suddenly she's tied up with a tie round her wrists. From that point on ... not so much. Funny, in my experience a punch from two fists is even more effective than one fisted blows. She is suddenly almost completely docile.
She should be wild, fighting, dangerous, and terrified - she must know what humans can do to mermaids (won't say here - it's horrible, but there's a reason they are extinct in every other ocean but this one).
She is now nothing more than a little girl being led to shops and dressed up in pretty shoes and a glittery frock - this worked in Splash, but not here, 30 ears later. In Splash the mermaid has already fallen in love with the hero, and you can see her sense of fun and, frankly, lust. Not here. No - here, there is no such sense of connection, so her docility is vacuous He has designs on a bracelet she wears, but no sign of that greed in his actual performance. He doesn't show any connection with her - other than for the jewel. No - common sense would make him buy leggings, a sweatshirt with sneakers.
The music is pretty, but what I call "soupy", and at times the music or song replaces actual action, script, and, sadly, acting. My FF button was not enough to carry me through.
This was a chance to make a reimagined little mermaid, strong, wild, fascinated by the human, but full of fear, slowly engaged and tamed as what are in fact two incompatible cultures find points of contact through developing communication.
Jun Ji Hyung is very beautiful indeed, and Lee Min Ho handsome as ever, but this was not enough to carry me any further into this apparently weak retelling of an old tale.
Deeply disappointed. I could have given this less than three stars, but some of the acting is good, there are moments of insight, and the cinematography - easy given the locations' beauty - is very pretty.

Una storia fantasiosa ma molto bene raccontata.
Racconta la storia di una sirena che si innamora di un umano e che per riunirsi a lui fa di tutto.Mille peripezie e tanti segreti si intrecciano per raccontare il passato e il presente che fanno la storia avvincente e a tratti anche divertente.Per me che amo il genere fantasy e romantico è stato un bel drama anche se forse avevo aspettative migliori.I protagonisti sono prefetti nei loro ruoli.Lei è buffa e fortissima oltre che più sveglia d quanto può sembrare e lui è un truccatore "bianco" relativamente un bravo ragazzo.Ci sono dei personaggi secondari molto interessanti e completano la storia magnificamente.I cattivi sono cattivi e poi di quelli che sembrano.
Nel complesso un drama da vedere se amate il genere fantasy,con una bella storia d'amore che supera tante difficoltà,un intreccio tra passato e presente e alla fine un lieto fine.

When the mermaid was doing here things in a embarrassing way I was the one covering my face and rolling in my bed with my sheets I knew it's all fiction but her way of acting the role looked soooo real that I couldn't help but to also laught over whener I remember
I wish for a second season but it's rare specially for Kdramas like ths that already has a close ending
this is one of the dramas that has one of the greatest kiss scenes I have ever seen yeah there are also a lot out there but also here we are not joking

O que dizer desse dorama, que tem uma cinematografia deslumbrante. A historia é narrada em dois tempos, senda um na era disnatica e outro na era contenporanea, e particulamente achei muito legal, por que na maioria quando tem esse detalhe a serie fica entediante e acaba perdendo o foque da narraçao. E aqui não cada tempo é uma justificativa do que aconteceu ou estar pra acontecer. O DORAMA É SOBRE UM ROMANCE ENTRE UM HOMEN DE FAMILIA RICA QUE SE APAIXONA POR UMA SEREIA. E OBVIAMENTE ESSE AMOR SOFRE MUITO INTERFERENCIA TANTO DAS PESSOAS QUANTO DO AMBIENTE, POIS UM MORA NA TERRA E A OUTRA NA AGUA. E PRA PIORAR ELE É COMPROMETIDO E ELA POR SER SEREIA AS PESSOAS TEM BASTANTE MEDO POR ASSOCIAR ELA COM OS EVENTOS CATASTROFICO QUE ACONTECE NO LUGAR .
e por conta disso eles não vivem esse amor, mas em uma outra vida eles acabam se reecontrando, só que detalhe ela esta como humana por pouco tempo. Mas durante esse tempo ela conveve com as pessoas e é muito engraçado por que ela nunca tinha feito isso é tudo bastante novo, a mesma virou dorameira. Eu fiquei chocada, pq tipo um personagem de dorama que vira dorameira eu fiquei???? então ta, né. Ela tentando imitar a estatua ou quando tentava comer os peixes no aquario é hilario.

COMO UMA ESTRUTURA FAMILIAR É DE SUMA IMPORTANCIA PARA AS CRIANÇAS , E QUANDO ESSA BASA DESMORONA E A UNICA ALTERNATIVA É O DIVORCIO, SÃO OS PEQUENOS QUE LEVAM O MAIOR IMPACTO, E ISSO FOI TRATADO NO PERSONAGEM HEON JEOON - JAE. O PAI DESCONTAVA O DIVORCIO NO FILHO, A MÃE DO POBRE FOI EMBORA POR MOTIVOS BANAIS. APESAR DELE SER RETRATADA COMO UM VIGARISTA. No fundo a criatura so queria a atençao de uma pessoa que realmente gostasse dele, e notamos seu amadurecimento quando ele revive o amor com a sereia. Não curte muito o final pois aquele canalha do pai dele teve um fim mediocre, só a morte foi pouco. O vilão tambem teve um fim bem mediano, entao teve coisa que nao gostei, mas de resto eu curtir.

mergulhei nesse dorama e me apaixonei
eu lembro de quando estreou, lembro de ser um dos primeiros doramas que acompanhei e assisti na vida, ah, bons tempos...tudo é bem vívido na minha mente, a excelente atuação, a boa dosagem de comédia, drama e ação, os momentos marcantes, todas as músicas (perfeitas por falar nisso), foi um dorama muito lindo de assistir, muito mágico!
cheguei a rever com minha mãe e minha melhor amiga um tempo depois, elas amaram!
eu super recomendo, pode assistir sem receio, é quase certeza que assim como eu, minha mãe e minha melhor amiga, você vá amar!

A história e a atuação são os pontos altos!
Esss dorama é incrível em todos os sentidos! Eu caí de paraquedas nele e se tornou um dos meus favorito. A trama do principal ir relembrando os personagens da sua vida passada, e mostrando que eles são consequências ou pessoas tentando mudar (ser perdoadas) pelo que fizeram na voda passada é muito intrigante e emocionante. Além disso a sereia vivenciou todas as épocas dele e ficou esperando por ele até que ele lembrasse dela, isso foi muito lindo mesmo soando triste. E era muito poético quando ela chorava e as lágrimas dela se transformavam em pérolas. O casal principal tinha muita química e era muito fofoo. Ainda apaixonada pelo drama
Esse foi um dos dramas que estrearam bem na época em q entrei no mundo dos dramas asiáticos,e eu sempre assistia ao trailer,mas continuava deixando na minha lista.Uma pena eu ter esperado tanto tempo para assistir,pois a história é super legal e diria que até única,os personagens não ficam se separando por qualquer coisa o tempo todo,e principalmente n tem aquela coisa de se separarem por serem "diferentes" (no caso por ela ser sereia e ele humano).
Achei super interessante o passado e o futuro se conectarem,acho q foi uma das coisas q tornou a história mais interessante.Os personagens são muito engraçados,e em certos momentos faziam vc dúvidar deles,mas sempre dava certo no final.
Sobre o final,achei um pouco previsivel,mas gostei do q ele fez kkk Ah antes de me esquecer,amei a amiga dela q morava na rua,que também era amiga da personagem dela em My love from the star kk
