Due to an accident, Sakura Hiraga gave up on her dream. She is now married and her husband runs a hair salon. They live in a luxurious penthouse apartment. Her life seems glamorous and she is envied by everyone. What everyone does not know is that Sakura Hiraga is abused physically and verbally by her husband. She is unable to leave her situation. Sakura Hiraga considers herself a goldfish in a fishbowl. One day, due to a goldfish, she meets a man.
A housewife becomes enraged with jealousy over her husband's affair. Meanwhile, their son sits in the periphery, observing their violent confrontations. One evening, the housewife takes a kitchen knife into their bedroom to exact revenge on the father. The father though is able to repel her attack and throws her out of the bedroom. The mother then goes into the son's room and from there it hovers the family into tragedy.
The story will focus on a love triangle between the three leads. Eikura plays the role of Morimoto Naoko, a girl from the countryside whose first love is her uncle, Ikezawa Masato. She follows after him to Tokyo by getting admitted into an elite medical university, but there she runs into Masato's girlfriend and colleague Aya, a beautiful and intelligent researcher who is the daughter of the university hospital's director. However, things get complicated after Naoko and Masato meet again.

Hiroki acts like an ideal husband when around others, but he speaks harsh words to her when they are alone. She lives her days like a bird in a cage. One day, Miwa meets her childhood friend Fuyutsuki Ryo, whom she hasn't seen in years. Back then, Ryo was like a hero to her and loved by her. When she was in trouble, he always came and helped her. They make the fateful decision to spend the night together, and Miwa later finds out that she is pregnant with his child. She doesn't want to divorce her husband and become a single mom because she doesn't have a job. To protect her baby, she decides to tell her husband that she is pregnant with his child.
