Taiyou no Uta (2006)

Lee Shin is a university student majoring in modern music. He is the vocalist of the band "The Stupid" and also plays the guitar. He is known for his good looks and his strong passion for music but is in reality a cold person who is uninterested in non-music related things and has no dreams nor plans for the future. Shin initially likes a dance professor at his university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Kyu Won. Lee Kyu Won is a bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in traditional Korean instruments, especially the gayageum. Kyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age, and his biggest wish is to have his granddaughter trained to become a traditional music prodigy in 10 years' time. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Kyu Won immerses herself in training and becomes a university student who knows nothing besides traditional music. As Kyu Won's friends are fans of "The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There, she saw Lee Shin performing live and is immediately captivated by him.

Both of FL in drama & movie got illness but getting through with the help of ML while making music & singing together. A simple yet heaetbreaking love story of younger woman & older man as they fell in love through music.

Unlikely people coming close in unconventional ways. Bittersweet.

Both FL was ill but getting through sickness & hardships with the help from ML while music influence the beginning of their love story. It was a very cute heartwarming drama & totally worth watching. Mamiya Shotaro is adorable.

Singer Hyeon Seok develops problems with his hearing (Menieres syndrome) and has to stop his recordings. He notices a picture of Hokkaido in a magazine and decides to travel there. He eventually arrives in a a small village in Hokkaido for rest. While there, he reminisces about the old days. The owner of the inn offers him a Japanese meal. There he meets a bright cheerful girl named Megumi.

Both are about a young girl who is limited by an illness and how her family and friends were able to help her.

Both are dramatic stories about young people trying to overcome several problems. Both have the same leads (Erika Sawajiri and Takayuki Yamada).

Both dramas deal with characters with terminal illness and tragic love. Both of the characters lied to their lovers to hide their illness.

This time ML is sick not FL. I watched in movie/dramas mostly FL is sick. In this movie FL was a very plain & simple girl but it make her attractive to the most popular guy in her school & he try to approach her. Actually ML got a secret that he can't tell anyone that he is sick. Such a cute sad love story with spectacular cast. A must watch movie if you like tearjerker movie/drama.
