A VERY REFRESHING DRAMA....

ITS LIKE A JOURNEY WITH MANY UPS AND DOWNS WITH A TOUCH OF CUTENESS AND MADNESS..
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT TO EVERY KDRAMA WATCHER AND ESPECIALLY TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO LIKE ROMANTIC COMEDIES...
THE STORY IS BASICALLY THAT HOW A MAN FINDS LOVE IN A ROBOT DUE TO HIS RARE HUMAN ALLERGY...
HAD A GREAT TIME WATCHING IT THE BEST PART WAS THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN KIM MIN KYU AND JO JI A. BOTH THE ACTORS HAVE DONE A COMMENDABLE JOB. ESPECIALLY LOVED KIM MIN KYU'S (YOO SEUNG HOO) SMILE OH ITS UNBEARABLE JUST VERY CUTE.
THE DRAMA IS A BIT LONG BUT WORTH WATCHING....

A light and breezy drama that was too easy to binge watch. The two leads where lovable as individuals and adorable as a couple. A determined, hard working and at times spunky, female lead matched with a charming, slightly eccentric and at times pitiful, male lead.
The support cast was everything you could hope for. They were all funny in their own way and were great additions to the story.
It doesn't take too much brainpower to watch this series. It has some fluffy moments and some heart wrenching moments. It, embarrassingly, only took me a week to watch this, while I was sick. I'm Not a Robot held my attention (which can be hard to do.) and kept me entertained.
This drama is well worth the watch.

Completed the series 3 weeks ago and still there are fresh memory of some good moment from the series. It's is sometimes comedy sometimes childish but with romance also. This series has great cast with all characters well and good enough for the role. Love the main cast chemistry and also don't forget the mansion they show it's a huge and gorgeous one. It will become my dream mansion and I bet all viewers who watched it they also feel that. Love the show. Love the cast and story is good. It' s worth watching if anyone want to see this show with English subtitles please watch it on Netflix it's is available.

Funny and cute

This is not a drama that is heavy on plot - it requires a lot more suspension of disbelief than typical in a show that no matter how socially awkward a person as intelligent as Min Kyu would believe Ji Ah is actually a robot. The important thing to know, though, is that it doesn't make a bit of difference to how enjoyable a show it is. I found it to be sometimes sweet and sometimes silly, but there were also poignant moments that showed depth to the core group of characters (who were all portrayed brilliantly). The plot may be ridiculous, but it is genuinely funny most of the time. This is definitely more of a comedy than a romance, though this does not negate the sweetness of the love stories.

The parts of the plot that were meant to be suspenseful and dramatic were less successful than the comedic elements. This is perhaps due to the lack of focus on them at all; in general they seemed more disconnected from the rest of the plot and characters due to how little interaction there was between them to cause tension.

This is definitely a drama worth watching if you're in the mood for something to put a smile on your face.

She’s definitely not a robot

This drama was so good and enjoyable. I’m also not the type that likes a long length drama and so many episodes, but each episode was totally worth it. I also never knew that having your ex being a scientist that makes robots is such a toxic thing, whelp now I know what guys I should skip. Just a warning there may be spoilers.
It was nice to see a different type of storyline than the same one over and over again which is a guy being allergic to basically everything even humans except for a “robot girlfriend”. I never expected to see a robot looking exactly the same as a girl and now Ji Ah has to pretend to be a robot because her ex will then become in debt. Who would’ve known that if you dressed as a robot you will then meet your future lover. It was funny seeing how comfortable Min Kyu was because he thought it was just a robot and not a human girl. It was also nice seeing him realize that he has an exception to finally have a lover(Ji Ah’s human self) and is not allergic to basically everything. It’s also sad that he’s allergic to everything with nickel which made Min Kyu not have a good childhood and had to be alone. It was nice how Ji Ah had to act like a robot because the old robot had broke because of the water, but it was creepy how Ji Ah’s ex had made her into a robot so he could always see her. It’s nice to see Min Kyu recover from his allergies and then Ji Ah and Min Kyu becoming lovers. Although I didn’t like the ending of Min Kyu coming back from the military and then it’s over because I wanted to see there future life and it was sad because it ended so quickly.
Anyways I enjoyed this drama and really recommend this drama.

I'm not a Robot is a witty, funny, and a feel good drama with what I thought to be a linear yet emotion driven plot.

Story:
The start of the drama gets your attention right away with it's humor and introduction of the characters. It really does a good job of setting up the arc of character development. Like aforementioned the plot is pretty linear but as I tend to say; linear and simple isn't always a bad thing. It's easy to follow and fun to watch. I really liked how the writer and director tried to capture the essence of the show by answering these questions: Can love be found between different entities? What does it mean to trust? What does it mean to be human? To what extend is hiding who you are a lie?
There were some cliches but they are easily overlooked with other aspects of the story. My emotions throughout the drama were happy, hopeful, and sad.

Acting/Cast:
I thought the main leads were very talented given there age at the time. They chemistry was definitely there and although not believable within the subtext of the actual drama it was realized in a neat way. I hate to over-critique acting and so all I will say about the main leads is that I was moved by their relationship in their show.

The supporting cast were equally great. The group of scientists were soooo funny and provided the comic relief that was necessary throughout parts of the show. I really felt a sense of family and community with the supporting cast and how they interacted with each other as well as the main leads.

Music:
The music was great at capturing the emotional highs and lows of the show. It wasn't distracting yet it was catchy. The OST doesn't consist of many songs but like said previously a lot can be done with little and musically this OST seems to fit the bill.

Closing thoughts/Rewatch Value
I don't tend to rewatch many dramas so my score reflects that idealogy, However this doesn't deter from my opinion in really enjoying this drama and recommending it to friends. This was well written, cast, and musically pleasant. If you're looking for something that's easy to watch and not too heart wrenching than this is the one for you. Ratings can reflect the quality of the drama in Korea but this is one that I think doesn't reflect the low ratings. I thoroughly had a fun time with this one.

Very important-
First thing- You have to get past the fact that a rich guy is getting manipulated by everyone in his life.

Other than that, watch the show.

This is my third K-drama and I am lucky to have seen the best ones so far!

Great - But a little ehh at some points

I'm Not a Robot was definitely better than what I had expected. I like romance when it isn't cheesy, so I did appreciate the type of romance this delivered. But the main greatness about this drama is the acting and chemistry of the two main leads. I didn't really care too much about any of the other characters, and I think the producers/directors of this drama made it clear to mainly just focus on the two main leads any way no matter what. But the main leads were perfect.

I decided to give this an 8.5, although I was debating to higher the ranking to an overall 9. However the reason i haven't done this is because, for me anyway, about the 11th or 12th episode in, things started to feel a little slow, if that makes sense. Beforehand an hour episode would have felt 30/40 minutes, but by the 11th/12th episode an hour episode felt a little longer than the hour itself. Although I did enjoy the last episodes very much, I have to be honest as it did feel slower for some unexplainable reason.

Great OST though - which I will be listening to for a long time coming!

Was the best romantic comedy until...

The first episode immediately draws you in. It's the best romantic comedy you've ever seen up until the angst begins, then it becomes another beast. There are two episodes that are just two different conversations between the main characters, about why she lied about being a robot, and you feel the pain and then there is a lot of narcissism coming from the male lead... tell me about me, blah blah. Everyone seemed to be shouting and justifying their bad behaviour and after all that everything is forgiven and everyone is happy. I wish it had kept the brilliance of the beginning and continued with that before heading into melodrama territory and a saccharine ending which benefitted no one. There is no written law that a drama series has to be stretched to 16 episodes, this formula is not always for the best.
On the plus side, all the characters were great and gave good performances. The male lead has a winning smile and has good chemistry with FL. I love the humour and story at the beginning. For some reason it reminded me of The Goonies & Ghostbusters!

My first watched this romcom was 1st quarter of 2019. I truly amaze the acting of the main lead, Seungho and Soobin are perfect couple i do not feel that it was only an acting scenes when they're looking to each other there was something between them that i cant explain. They really captured the heart and interest of every viewers, loooks like it was natural for them. I love the OST. Story is great although its not happen in real life ( the human allergy) it was the best romcom i ever watched and probably my favorite. Done watching on my 3rd❤

There wasn't much I could find about this drama online, so I came in headfirst not exactly knowing what was to come. I'm Not A Robot brought a fresh, whimsical and heartfelt show about concepts I haven't heard since my Vocaloid phase in middle school.

STORY: 7.5/10

The general plot was something that seemed so absurd - something that certainly drove my interest in watching the drama. The rich and obnoxious yet lonely due to their depressing past stereotype of a main male lead with an allergy to human touch falls for a human girl disguised as his personal robot. A lot of chaos, drama, and cute moments ensue.

Starting into my watch, I started to feel slightly bored by the way everything was being introduced. The factor of him not knowing that Aji 3 isn't actually a robot and the real, human Jia barely having her screentime was dragged on for so long that it almost became filler. Mingyu, in the beginning, was so annoying and rude it almost made it unbearable - yet I kept telling myself that his behavior would change and develop to make him more of a decent human being as soon as he fell in love with who he thought was a robot. And then, similar to the way Ji-a felt towards him, I began to feel more bad for him than hate him, really. However, I found it really funny about how Mingyu was supposed to have an IQ of 159 but never figured out the truth himself (which everyone in the show was aware of, even himself after he found out, which was hilarious).

However, I feel the story needed time to become the way it was. Falling in love, recovering from trauma, and developing the side characters' relationships and plots needed time to make it realistic. Even if certain aspects of the show were never really given bigger depth, I conclude that it presented itself well enough for it to be enjoyable, albeit not perfect.

ACTING/CAST: 8/10

The main cast's acting was amazing. Mingyu's actor, Yoo Seung Ho, was absolutely exceptional in his role. Every emotion he felt as the character felt so realistic and clear in his facial expressions right from his gestures to the expressiveness in his eyes. Chae Soo Bin was also very good - their chemistry was so frickin' adorable, and their kisses were unlike anything from any other Asian drama I've ever seen PERIOD.

I also feel like I'm the only one who thinks the scientist/professor, Baekhyun, was attractive despite being a bit dense when it came to human interaction. Pai, Sun Hye, Ssanip and Hoktal were all very lovable characters and made me relive my love for the "different characters from varying backgrounds consider each other a family" cliché. I also developed a HUGE, FAT crush on Ri-El's actress, and loved her subplot as well.

Although the foreign actors' acting was somewhat laughable, there's nothing to be surprised about in that aspect when it came to the English of the Korean actors' as well. Overall, the acting was more than tolerable, and surely allowed me to immerse into the story's depth.

MUSIC: 6/10

The music was not exactly memorable for me, but it certainly fit into each scene of the drama perfectly and in it's own sneaky ways. The lyrics expressed the mood of each situation, making it all the more heartfelt and emotional for me. Nothing was exactly different or strong about the OST of this, but I certainly did not hate it.

REWATCH VALUE: 7/10

It guarantees a 50/50. I don't watch series with over 25 episodes (unless I'm genuinely invested in the story/it comes in different seasons) so I don't think I'll be watching the whole thing again from the beginning. Perhaps certain scenes (like the ones between Mingyu and Jia! Gosh!) will garner a rewatch just for the purpose of it being so darn cute.

OVERALL: 8.5/10

There were many flaws, but not enough to delude the fact that I Am Not A Robot was an enjoyable, cute drama with many lovable characters and great chemistry between the main leads. It also begs the question of technology and how fast it's developing - if there was something like Aji 3 in real life, would they be used for good as she did? Or would they appease the memes that showcase Sophia the robot, as it gains sentience and plans world domination? LMAO. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this to everyone, but it certainly deserves a watch.
