ABSOLUTELY PERFECT WATCH

This is a hilarious, engaging and amazing piece of work and so highly underrated. I can't believe I'm coming across this gem after so so long. I actually don't dislike anything in this show so I'm just going to keep it short by focusing on the things I like:

1. First show where I see such strong female friendship and bonding irrespective of the strata of society the women come from. I absolutely love how these are three women from absolutely different backgrounds having almost nothing in common other than their interconnected male counterparts (whether husbands or school principals) and they come together and support one another. I absolutely love how throughout the show they try to teach you the value of human relationships irrespective of the money, great!

2. The strong female companionship. I like how these women support one another, and create such great friendships which leads them to having a fantastic time together. Not only for the sake of revenge, but it provides them with a safe space in their regular lives where they can just be in the comfort of loved ones and ENJOY. Drink endlessly. have a good laugh, have quality almost-family time (without the older men) and create a community amongst themselves that will always be there for one another. As is rightly said by Jung Hye, this show depicts bonds closer than family so nicely, you'll love it!

3. Good division of time across the episodes on all four characters and their revenge stories. It does not seem like one story is more important than the other and they give equal time to all the characters to build a better story.

4. A coherent story with great characters that are not shallow. Even if it's the villain, there's some sort of story to back up the entire plot.

5. The perfect number of episodes. I'm so glad they did not stretch this unnecessarily for 16 episodes or more. 12 was perfect, they've aptly covered the different storylines and depicted the revenge masterfully without any second of the show being dull or a skippable moment.

6. THE STELLAR ACTING BY ALL THE CHARACTERS. Like I don't even need to say anything more. Their work speaks for itself. All of them have worked brilliantly and truthfully in their roles. Jung Hye has become one of my favourite characters. Such character development we see for most of the characters. I'm all for it.

7. I am quite happy with the end. Sometimes you have to let it go to be at peace, which is why I understand why Soo Gyum is not averse to a more positive relationship with his parents. We get enough sense towards the middle of the show that he is going to stay with the grandfather. So, it's not surprising that he tries to at least act civil with both his birth parents. So, for me, even the end is quite amazing. Plus, I'm all for Jung Hye rediscovering herself and Do Hee's relationship. So, that's great as well!

Now, something I think is important to highlight after looking at quite a few comments here. I saw a couple of comments saying this is not revenge-y enough. But how do we determine what is enough? We’ve been so accustomed to those over-the-top masculine revenge plots that are in your face that we don’t even give this a chance. I absolutely love the feminine aspect of everything they do here. This is just like my international law and relations class where we study feminist approaches. We just assume revenge to be revenge when it pains and has a dramatic outcome. Don’t let those comments stop you at all. This is a beautifully written and brilliantly acted-out plot and the revenge while subdued (in terms of achieving it and not the final result) is quite impactful, very hilarious and fun to watch!

Okay so to start I should put out there that this is not a romantic show at all at least to me it isn't.

The acting is the best thing ever along with how the ASC members interact and slowly develop together is oh god so amazing. There's literally nothing that I didn't like other than the "villains" they're not like oh wow I did not know that this happens irl so yea I understand and it's relatable.

Although some revenge part throws me off like would this actually happen ever but whatever it's a show and what matters is that the plot is steady with casts who knows how to act.

Anyways it a good show with great plots and casts that has amazing acting skills.

I started this drama when it was already halfway through its airing. I went into this drama without any expectations or prior knowledge about the plot or the cast, but I found myself enjoying this drama to the extent where I put other dramas on hold and binge-watched till the latest episodes available. I could not wait for the next episodes to air and be back with my favourite ajhummas!
They were such a fun little group. More than a revenge group they were a comedy group. Each and every episode was packed with comedic and heartwarming elements. The characters were lovable and I could not outright hate any of the other bad guys, although I cheered for the ajhummas. The music was good though not memorable. At least, I don't remember any soundtrack off the drama.  Although I wished for one particular character to have a love line, I can't hold it against such a wonderful drama.
If you are looking for something light and fun you should give this drama a try. It will tug at your heart, make you laugh and cry with members of the club. But, don't go in expecting romance, you will be disappointed. It has romance but that's almost insignificant and not the central theme. I found this drama to be similar to Age Of Youth only this focuses on middle-aged women and their lives and struggles. So here, you have another drama to watch if you have finished watching both the season of  Age Of Youth and want something to tide you over.

Interesting drama with a good story. It's out of the common trends that try to give roles to women and give them the strength to stay on their own forces. The story was captivating because it was a new concept that gave the curiosity to know what would be next. The cute and funny actions of the characters gave a better development to the story that became more captivating.

I loved the acting of Lee Yo Won, something that surprised me because I did not see her acting like that before. She was really cute in her role and she was really great at carrying such a role. I saw her in other dramas where she had a serious role, which fits her pretty well. But I can say that being cute is a good match for her, too. I will wait for other cute performances more.

What is your breaking point? How angry do you have to be to finally say “Enough”? A mother protecting her children, a powerless heiress used as a pawn by her family and a grief-stricken, abused wife meet and band together to save each other. In doing so they become friends and sisters. They laugh, plan and work together, becoming strong enough to grab happiness. I laughed when the only condition put forward was that no one could be killed because they would waste time in jail. They only allowed the fourth member because his issues coincided with theirs. I enjoyed watching them take revenge on all the bullies who abused their power. I applauded their victories. Watching the personalities change and grow stronger was wonderful. The acting was very good and the story was interesting.

Daebak show!
All the characters were scattered at first but in the end the way it showed how they slowly bonded was just amazing.
Watching this gets emotional like seriously and it’s both the happy and sad one which is great.
What I loved the most was how they got the revenges with each other’s help and slowly becoming a team that has a strong bond.
And lee yo won as Jung hye was just too funny at first she was weird but she was literally the funniest character along with her love for junk food. Btw Jung hye has great sense of fashion.
So gyum is great too he is both sweet and caring, it was nice to see how so gyum and Jung hye relationship got better.
These ahjummas are the funniest with the strongest bond along with the sweet so gyum.
All the characters were played well even side characters acted so well.10/10

STORY: The overall idea of women wanting revenge is not all that new, I will be honest, shows from every country have done it in one way or another. However, this drama was beautifully written, very well executed and multi-dimensional. It did not 100% follow through with the usual makjang tropes, although it easily could have sold out and become "just another makjang drama" (don't get me wrong I am not knocking that genre), but there was much more to it. Drama, hints of romance, so much friendship and various aspects of family but also comedic elements that balanced out incredibly serious tones very well. It utilized bits of multiple genres that can appeal to a wide variety of audiences. There were no characters that were build up and then fell apart from lack of dialogue or use in the script either. This show was very high quality and as for cut scenes, transitions and end credit moments and "next time" montages they were incredibly well done.I would be highly surprised if it was not pre-produced. The writers make use of every detail and are so consistent in scripting this show. There are no real loopholes; and for once I was not let down by the show's completion. It is a story that comes full circle in an incredibly gratifying manner.

CAST: I cannot applaud this cast enough. Firstly, this is a female led and dominated cast. They are a group of women, not young girls, that fight to take control of their lives. Each member of this cast was strong, portraying raw emotions and struggles that anyone can connect or empathize with. Ra Mi Ran acts as Hong Do Hee, a widow with two children that faces struggles but always keeps her strength and a sense of self worth. She takes a role that can be simple and gives it so much heart and you understand the work that a mother, especially single in one way or another, faces. As for Lee Yo Won, she takes the character Kim Jung Hye and gives her a depth that could be overlooked. Kim Jung Hye is a character that could have easily been a stereotypical, flat pretty rich trophy wife without a mind. But with writing and Lee Yo Won's performance she becomes so much more and you feel foolish for expecting anything less. A role that is one of the more difficult in the show is that of Lee Mi Sook, done by Myung Se Bin. Her character could easily be written off as weak and too mild to be capable of much; that is not the case. Myung Se Bin works with the character but also pays special attention to the situations her character finds herself in and the interactions/relationships she has with the surrounding cast members. These three women were knockouts, delving into their characters and then some. You watch the story begin as mere strangers with lives and struggles that on the surface are so vastly different that by coincidence meet. However, the growth shown of each character and what they face, individually and as a group, is what keeps you watching and engaging. At first I did not think it could get any better, but then Jun entered. I underestimated how critical his role on the show would be and I also underestimated how much skill and promise he himself would show in the role. Holy crap. I have rarely seen an idol that is as natural as he is on screen. It is very hard to believe this is his first real role. As for the supporting cast, they were all very good. The chemistry between everyone was stellar and it is not hard to see that this show was very character driven. The cast is what took a not so original idea and made it something new.

MUSIC: There was not too much music involved in the show. But what little there was added to the scenes and each time I heard a song at the end of an episode I grew more excited to see the next one because even if there were no "in the next episode" moments the music created an ambiance that left you wanting more and to know how it played out. As for the high energy song that was used the most, I absolutely loved the violin in it and I need to find it to download.

REWATCH: Oh yes please, especially at only 12 episodes. So for this category I am also taking into account the ability to BINGE WATCH the show. For me that is a 10. However, because they are each over an hour by a little bit I am knocking off a little of that score. But this is also a show you could put on a random episode and still totally enjoy the experience again. So for me, this category is an 8.5 even though I don't have time to rewatch it yet due to all the other dramas I am watching.

I hope you enjoy this show as much as I did and, like always, happy drama watching! :D

Reality and logic aside, A funny, lighthearted, heartwarming story of 3 women empower each other

The suggested score was 7 but I gave it an 8 bcuz if you analysis the drama in details you woud find many flaws, which would give it a flat 7 but the end product is so captivating and loveable that it deserves a higher rating just for that!
The best thing about it is the friendship of the ajummas?? , the topnotch comedy, and the bonds between the parents and children was heartwarming too.
The concept of the story is great and so the characters and casting are. But the plot fails to do things logically since it focuses on the 'we can do it' and comedy elements. And I think for a 12 episodes drama everyone did the best they could, and if the plot wasn't carried the way it did things would have been either rushed or ruined.

Amazing story, great characters, and great character development. So many different stories coming together to rise up out of the shadows and do something more than what is expected, plus there is some quality humor that can only come from this mix of actresses. La Miran gives so much vibrance and authenticity to her character's background, and both Lee Yowon and myung Sebin pull at heartstrings that I didn't even know I had. I recommend to anyone who wants to break away from very stereotypical K-drama romance stories and instead see the development of a great friendship/squad that fights against many underlying social problems! Hope this show gets the recognition it deserves!

A very Refreshing Drama Indeed !!

I've always wondered how come these mystery thrillers have leads do things in such a smooth way for eg. hacking ppl phone entering premises in disguise without getting known, creating fake identities, etc The other dramas show them soo smoothly like its a cup of tea but this was so different! I was able to relate so much to them!
Frankly, this is the most realistic revenge-type drama I've ever seen.
And Ahhh the FL (Jung Hye) was my most fav one she is one of the best FL in Kdramas.
Worth watching
Loved it !!!

Enjoyable shenanigans.

This drama was recommended on another website as a good show featuring strong women and I’m all for strong women.

Watch because:
- strong women are great to watch
- the actresses suit their roles very well and they are excellent actresses
- their revenges are more like shenanigans and are fairly enjoyable to watch
- there’s anticipation as the storyline is pretty fast paced and engaging

Two things that I didn’t really like:
- one of the episodes was quite draggy. I cannot remember which episode but it was somewhere in the middle. That episode was (I presume) necessary but a pain as it was slow moving and dealt with uninteresting matters.
- the ending was not exactly the most happily ever after although I guess it was good enough

Overall, great show with great actresses. Nice short drama of 12 episodes!
