school and friendship

●STORY
Story is simple ye mu xi is an upbeat girl who hates her childhood friend liao dan yi because he is perfect. As for him, he wants that ye mu xi can focus on her studies more but she has imaginative world and does so many things to be the class president.

●PLOT VIEW
Story was nice but the weird imaginative parts in every episode made the show kind of absurd for me because she was talking to some giant costume wearing characters which she created. The plot is focused mainly about school and friendship which is the best part. As most of the school drama now a days is focused more on romantic relationship, but in this leads go though obstacles of school life and building friendship.
I really liked episode 17 as its has a his historic part and every student were excellent. but some events in other episodes seems unrealistic. I sometimes skipped the parts which felt boring and repetitive.

●ACTING
Lee elenor was very energetic just as the plot requires the character to be. The body, the face and her running legs perfect.
Huang jin yi was amazing. His face had charm. But his acting needs more time.

●MUSIC
BGM and songs were nice. I love the opening song

●REWATCH
No doubt I enjoyed it but for a rewatch I wont think I would do it.

So this is a school comedy genre am not sure about the romance part ! the plot & the comedy is acceptable ,

I'm not fond with imagination parts of Ye Mu Xi its reminds me of " Scrubs " & the editing effects its like what you see in the anime , if you guys saw the Japanese drama version of Ouran Highschool Host Club you'll get what I mean :/  so for me I don't like drama with this kind of filming ...

The male lead have the look of an Idol he's really handsome <3 I think the schoolmates characters were interesting , am not a huge fan of Ye Mu Xi character but she was funny .

For the ones who enjoyed this drama , I heard that there will be a 2nd season ...

Anyway , this the type of drama that i'll watch if I've nothing else to see ! it pass time there a lot of people loved it , but its not my type .

This was the first-ever C-Drama that I have ever watched. I really enjoyed how funny the drama was. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters and how everyone treated each other like family. They added a lot of really good scenes and events, so it was delightful to watch. I looked forward to watching the drama every day and the main character was the star of the show.

A thing that I would like to see more of is more OST's. I didn't really like the fact that they only had two songs.
Overall, the drama was terrific, and I would really recommend this drama to first-timers.

I was looking for a cute school romance-comedy and this fit pretty well,
although it doesn't have many romantic scenes, the comedy and the few romantic scenes there are really make this series.

I love the emphasis on the importance of friendship and the strong bond between the lead characters, the development makes me feel like I know them personally. The leads have such a diverse range of personalities which makes the show much more interesting.

However I must mention the fact that it's a little jumpy, especially when we travel into the protagonist's own universe and imagination. I did. in fact, skip several of these scenes where it goes outside of the classroom as it felt unimportant and as if I was just watching fillers. However the small individual stories between each character and how they got to know each other in their class really made up for it. To a degree I feel this drama was quite relatable as I could see myself in a similar situation.

Overall I would recommend this drama as it was adorable and pretty funny, on the other hand bear in mind that I skipped a lot of the side stories which turned out to not be important but I feel I would have gotten bored if I continued watching them. Season 2 was filled with a lot more romance, especially towards the end (omg my heart, so cute) but you would need to watch season one because the underlying romance theme is carried through from the beginning to the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the series and I hope there's a season 3 in the near future.

" The Big Boss season one " was, somehow, quite enjoyable.

The drama is overall ridiculous, with so many genres wrapped in a crazy ride of a plot. However, it must be noted that for those looking for school romance, this drama will not provide it, at least for the first season. Not that that is a bad thing, as the series focused more on the comedy element, which it actually handled perfectly and in big doses, making it satisfying for the audience. Still, the dynamics were there between the two leads, whether they were romantic or antagonistic. The friendship of the students was nicely presented as well, which was a bonus for the drama. In addition, even though some episodes were less interesting than others, this odd and over the top sometimes drama was pretty entertaining, with a feel good vibe and a main character that could easily win your heart with her strong female lead and almost like anime personality.

So, overall, eight out of ten.

Fun story

It is probably a bit unfair for me to write a review as The Big Boss is one of my personal favorites. Sure, the female lead is a bit childish but for some reason I liked her more so. The male lead's calm character seems to balance it out. Every episode seems like a new adventure with some weird (but funny) context.

I went in with not much expectations except for the drama being a typical fluff high school drama. I was pleasantly surprised by the first episode and I immediately binge watched the drama. I was even happier to had found a second season which I also bingewatched.

Let us examine. Above rate is false, it is for review purposes only. Coz I dont know how to make 6-7. Here:
Artists- scored:8/10 Their acting is good, well portrayal of their characters, not to mention they are Visually good-looking. Espc. The lead actor, He is so handsome.
Cinematography- scored: 6/10 It is very artistic(props used) and has a pleasant vibrant set-up of the school. However, what makes me ranked it a bit lower despite of saying those, it is because " UNECESSARY SCENES" is rampant in every episodes, LITERALLY, EVERY EPS from S1 to S2. Omg! Its okay to put 1 or 2 scenes from character's mind/thought. Its a big NO NO to put unecessary scenes and doubled ist value more than the flow of the story itself. BIG destruction of the story flow indeed.
StoryLine- scored 7/10 school-romance, we all know it as already a "cliche" in other words overused and common. Although, I still like it. Cliche is relatable since we used to it. In contrary, I wondered why the author doesn't make the cliche story to the fullest extent. There's still lacking. To be honest, its Very Fun, no doubt of that. If isn't?! I would not dare to finish season 1. Definitely, no cliffhanger ( bcoz of fun that makes viewer only to cont'), there is no substantial climax( I'm searching for, where? Where the triggering factor, a great impact in climax, where?). None. Unfortunately, I didn't dare to finish S2. ( they are just making the story long and long without triggering climax with the protagonists). Okay! I don't waste my time bcoz its really fun, but yet disappointed.act! Here:

FIRST OF ALL FIRSTS, if you're looking for romance dramas and found this cute little drama. Beware! I'm telling you guys this doesn't have the romance you all are expecting, just sweet things and nothing else.

I don't get how many people hated this drama because it doesn't have any main plot. If you're watching cartoons or a Disney tv show (Jessie, Austin and Ally, Good Luck, Charlie}, you'll see that each episode has a different plot. TBB is the same, focusing on what the drama is all about -- showing the students and their high school life.

Although there were some episodes that may bore you, you can skip them. To be honest, I hated the game episode, so I skipped it because it didn't have any relation on the next episode.

I absolutely loved the characters! They all had an important role and I really liked how they portrayed, especially Liao Danyi (MY MAN). Ye Muxi is totally a BIG BOSS!

The ending music always gets me off-guard. I really liked that song so much!

Anyways, I would definitely re-watch this! I am currently re-watching the second season and so far the nostalgic feelings are coming back to life. If you're here for some fun on a sad day, this should be one of your lists.

. . .
This is only MY OPINION, it is still up to you if you want to watch it or not.

This review may contain spoilers

all genres are here

if u're looking for a show u want to watch while eating noodles then this is for u! it is actually a good romantic-comedy school drama. though it focus more about school and friendship more than romance. BUT the bond between each student is very strong. it also shows the feelings of the students and some memes for u to laugh on! i dropped it on the half of the season two because i think their imaginations are taking over each episode but yeah, it's a good drama after all. the love hate relationship between our two mainroles are cute, how i wish my highschool life were the same as theirs <3

The Big Boss will make you laugh, that's guaranteed. It's a light-hearted comedic story about the relationship of two childhood acquaintances.  Mu Xi and Dan Yi don't really show the right off the bat romance or crushing, which is what makes this drama so refreshing. The first season, did have it's parts that didn't really feel like it pertained to the plot; so in my opinion, some fillers for the story. I do like how Dan Yi and Mu Xi are constantly finding themselves in situations where there's more that meets the eye between the two. It's highly funny to watch throughout and keeps it's plot stable over the course of 18 episodes. (NOTE: The second season is another whopping 18 episodes, so 36 in total.) I do believe that the focus shifted between the little side stories of the drama and the main story between Mu Xi and Dan Yi, but the interconnection between it all is what makes the drama memorable for me. If you're looking for a good laugh while enjoying a unique relationship between the main actors, The Big Boss is the drama for you. It's not too serious but not too focused on laughs that makes it an enjoyable watch, one worth sitting / laying down for long periods of time. Innocent, sweet, and absolutely a danger to your air supply from laughing so hard. The Big Boss is a big catch.

This was a cute, easy to watch school drama. It was a breeze to sit through it because it doesn't have much angst and each episode is about 30 mins long. Having said that, this isn't meant for viewers who are looking for more mature and intelligent dramas. It is honestly quite childish at some parts where there are sudden changes in the story setting? Like the main character would imagine herself as an emperor and she has weird characters as her life advisers whenever she encounters a problem.

One main complain I have about this that I was looking for more romance but it was kind of absent throughout the whole drama? If you are looking for a rom-com to watch then this isn't it. the acting and cast was pretty okay. There are many cute actors. XD The music wasn't really memorable except for the opening song? The rewatch value is really low because there was honestly not much plot to begin with and there isn't enough cute scenes to make me want to rewatch the drama. Hence, I would recommend this drama to people who are looking for a light-hearted drama to kill time with.
