Both have such jarred characters and are pretty dark emotion wise. Both also are presented in a very realistic way, not on a silver plate with all decorations and stuffs.

In terms of fantasy, totally not similar ofcourse.. But remove fantasy or magic thing, these very similar: the protagonist/lead, and the vibes about dark concept in life (slice of life thing) about the society issues.

One thing that very remarkable.. The lesson of the drama or these two series.. 'One day/someday, you meet someone that gives you comfort/peace, or helping hands to overcome the hardships and become better person to face the life ahead of you. Just don't give up and continue to fight. ONE DAY OR SOMEDAY.. Fighting!!'

The FL is smart, hardworking, loyal and the most misunderstood character like SoHoo and she is so much protective of the ML who is innocent, soft, sensitive and gentle like Youngro who doesn’t know that she’ protecting him like an angel all the time….

It’s rare to find such type of …..Role reversal dramas

Youngro is homologous to ML in my mister and
Sohoo is homologous to FL

They both protect their loved ones till their last breath

You feel similar type of angst too

But both these dramas have completely different backdrops

There is an emotional connection/ bonding process central to the plot. The main characters in both have large overlaps in their age, status, and experiences.

Awaken and my mister both is about romance and friendship. Both serie has first one sided love and a friendship at the same time. it still has different story but still feels like they has something connective. The more you watch theseseries more you get addictive about these stories.

Both are about Life hardships and the story takes place in a company too.
The vibes of the two drama are dark and very realistic, plus they also have complex characters in common

Both have the same vibes, a more slice of life approach to the story, as well as some grey characters that try hard to get by, while observing the lives of others and dreaming of getting a life like theirs. They both, in addition, have original cinematography and plots, as well as strong female leads.

- deep bond between older Male Lead and young Female Lead where there is this unexplainable connection and understanding between them despite hardly ever saying words to each other
- nice Male Lead
- poor Female Lead who is independent and relies on herself
- overall sad vibe, will make you tear up

They both have a similar dark vibe and story. The ambience and the feeling is alike.
However, the male lead in this drama is similar to the female lead in My Ahjussi. He has a tragic past, and he is close to a relative who is disabled, and tries to overcome his hardship, and eventually becomes bad, and tries to get revenge. It's an interesting drama that follows his story, as well the female lead who is also overcoming her own struggles.

Both have a deep philosophical point of view toward love, family, marriage, and life. It was quite a surprise to find a gem like "My Unfamiliar Family" which makes me reminisce about "My Mister".

A short drama, but an unforgettable one. I definitely recommend this. A tough female lead who has a difficult past. She struggles in life, and becomes an assassin, and a killer. It is a story of a teenage girl, who is also an assassin. The similarity, is the personalities of the two female, they are both silent, and secretly working for bad people.

i know neither of them are similar in the sense of genre but both depict the struggles of the characters in the dramas. my mister also has a murder storyline like in come and hug me and the ml in come and hug me is also in my mister.

Both female leads know more about the male leads than the male leads are aware.
It has so many similarities, apart from the fact that in My Mister we have someone quite broken whereas in Big Issue our female lead managed to rise form that and became someone quite strong.

Both dramas deal with two people going through difficult situations and finding comfort and support in each other. Both have characters with an age gap so the bond that they share is unlikely. Romance is something that is hinted but really its a strong friendship that is developed.

Both dramas deal with the harsh realities of life and how personal struggle can lead to positive growth.
