All the characters were charismatic on screen and the wardrobe department would have had a ball dressing them up. Even the cute little puppy had adorable costumes all through the show. Music was pleasant and apt, though not really addictive. This show doesn't have nail biting suspense which makes you binge watch it to completion within couple of days. Rather it was so sickly sweet at times that I couldn't digest beyond an episode or half at a time! There are plenty of fluffy filler scenes to satisfy all romantic hearts, especially fans of the main leads. It is a one time slow watch you leave with some pleasant feels but nothing unforgettable down the line.

loved it but final 3 episodes (3 hours)felt like fluff with no real progress to the plot.
I LOVED it but have to say that the final 3 episodes felt like "filler" episodes where not much happened. It was weird and felt like fluff was just tacked on to the end because they didn't think through where the plot should lead.I had a lot of unanswered questions as well about the FL's condition.
Why did it start at 20?
Why did she turn at all?
Why was it suddenly so sporadic at the end of the show when it had been monthly (without fail) for 10 years straight?
Was she supposed to be helping people every time she turned and she just never knew it? Like when she helped that grieving mother and that teen girl? Hmmmm
Those final three episodes could've been used in a much more constructive way. BUT I still adored the story, the acting, and so on.

Also, I unexpectedly ended up liking the secondary couple more than the main one (they were so freaking adorable!)
This was my first time watching Seo Hyun-Jin, and I gotta say she's an amazing actress. I don't think I've ever seen anyone else cry so convincingly! The bad side to that was that by comparison Lee Min-Ki seemed really wooden and dry. And while I get his character was supposed to be stoic, I feel like Park Seo-Joon played that type of character much better in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim. He was a bit of a disappointment to me.
Another disappointment was how weakly the very last conflict was approached. It was basically thrown out there and then resolved with lightning speed. Made the last three episodes seem a bit pointless.
But the drama was interesting enough. I loved all the little side adventures Se-Gye did while her face was different. And the soundtrack was awesome, too!

Unexpectedly sweet
I had been browsing through different titles on what Kdrama to watch and stumbled upon this. The synopsis was curiously different and sounded interesting so I tried it out.At first, I found Lee Min Ki a bit boring, monotone face and dialogue delivery. But as the series unfolded, I grew very fond of him and found that his being monotone totally suited his role.
This was the second drama I watched with Seo Hyun Jin. I had seen her work in Dr Romantic. I liked her better here though.
Lee Da Hee was a lovable character. Very beautiful..
The OST was just amazing. My ears totally fell in love with the songs. Just for the OST alone, I would watch this series again.

Great blend of humour, melodrama and romance
It’s funny, yes the funny parts are super funny, lol kind of funny. The melodrama is cry buckets with lots and lots of tissue. The romance is oh so sweet.I loved almost every part of this drama. First of all, both FL and SFL are super pretty, and their style and wardrobe attire is TO DIE FOR. Don’t get me started on their shoes!!! Loved loved loved the fashion on this set. I’m very glad to see that the women are not the poor pitiful kind, but successful in their own rights.
It’s a Seo Hyun Jin drama, so you can expect lots of over-the-top whining and crying. I did cry at quite a few scenes, because it was either very sad or heart-breaking. The romance and chemistry between both leads were great, and some good kissing scenes :) I didn’t quite care for the secondary love story between Eun Ho and Kang Sara- in fact I skipped their scenes towards the last few episodes. That’s why my overall dropped to a 8.5. It was kind of dull and no real progress or chemistry
The music background really suited the scenes- whether it was funny, or a In-Your-Face scene ;);) I also like the OST , the songs were well suited and lovely.
All in all, highly recommended to watch. Produced in 2018, but I only watched it now in 2021. No regrets:)

Great start but sizzled as it goes | side stories are confusing and awkward
Life is too short for stressful drama. Why spend all that time watching and be stressed? Don’t our lives already provide enough of that?Summary of the series:
- Pretty cool concept from the start. Got me watching and wanting to watch more how the FL deals with the changes. Somewhat lighthearted as I wanted from a rom/com; series had slow sections (gave it an 8 since there isn’t a 8.2)
- awkward and confusing side stories. I really didn’t want to rewind and catch up to it
- there weren't villains but more like distractions to add stress, there are some short struggles, calamity, miscommunications and don’t ask for help to cause more drama and stress
- like most around this rating, they have to separate the characters before the final finish to add more drama
- FL at times has the stiffest face reaction when kissed, I am like are you liking a kiss from your dude or not
- main story line is what drive the high score, but you can skip all the side stories which were kind of lame
- Like seeing the FL and ML help each other through their difficulties
still some joyful parts, good main story (watch it for what happens to the FL), some stress and slowness for this series: recommended to watch and skip the unnecessary scenes

okay.hello.this is my first time writing a review.please overlook the mistakes.firstly,things i loved-everything......
things i hated-nothing except for the evil characters.
story-well,a woman whose face and body changes once a month and a man who can't remember faces.huh, seems very complicated as for their love story.but trust me it is awesome.you won't feel bored for a second .In every single episode you will be rolling on the bed from laughing for hundred times(well, i was).those who are not watching the drama because you have seen the movie but are curious please watch it because though their concept are more or less similar, the drama is totally different from the movie.the script writer slayed it in my opinion.
acting- do i need to say this . ofcourse, it was perfect.all of them are professionals .SHJ was very pretty (especially in the cinderella scene please check that out),LMK no need to say <3,AJH again blessed us with his angelic appearance. I can't name everyone but every actor did their best .also the actors who had special appearance basically own the drama in a way.
music-good,very good.I actually tend to concentrate on the drama while watching . but yeah the osts were good.
rewatch value-yes .I will definitely watch it again in the future.even if I can't watch all 16 episodes , I will obviously watch the moments of it.(can't live without those)
overall-it is pretty good.totally different from the movie (as the movie has a little melo vibe.but it has more rom-com vibe) but it has its own attraction.
okay now the things i want to actually say-loved HSG and SDJ couple .SHJ was an angel.really loved her.well first time watching LMK smiling so much.also maybe joking with a poker face is his speciality .loved the bond between HSG,RYH,YWM .also bromance between JJH and SDJ was one of it's own kind.cried out laughing most of the time HSG changed (especially in front of SDJ's mom and during the cinderella scene).also loved the chemistry and bickerings of YWM and JJH .loved kingkong and sometimes i wonder how it can sense that HSG is near to it.
now thank you for wasting your time by reading this.I am totally sorry if you feel this way. but please watch atleast two episodes of it.then it will obviously become an addiction.

Weird but interesting...with emotional payoff
The premise here is weird but interesting, and also fruitful in terms of episodic story arcs that support the overall theme/arc of the show. The prosopagnosia angle with the ML has been done several other times, but this show takes it to an extreme with the constantly changing appearance of the FL. I liked both the leads and loved the storyline with her mother. That's where I really felt the emotional payoff. Was this review helpful to you?
A sweet Romantic series (without sugar) but full of wisdom
I don't know why, I wasn't more hooked than that on the first viewing (maybe because it was one of my first dramas :)On the other hand, I really loved it when I saw it again!!
PLOT: An actress completely changes her physique (face, body, voice) one week per month. Not easy to manage, but one man who doesn't recognize faces, will help her and love her.
Through this plot, the series casually addresses a lot of controversial subjects: gender, the role and status of women, discrimination, old age, mourning, faith, etc.
PROS:
+ 2 fantastic leads (ML = Lee Min Ki / FL = Seo Hyun Jin) who demonstrate all their talent in these difficult roles, and a great cast!
+ Romance 2 is unexpected with an authoritarian and direct FL2, and a kind ML2, torn between his dream and his love.
+ Story well constructed, intelligent & asks true questions.
+ Very good OSTs, (some are now on my playlist).
CONS:
It's a fantasy series, so there's a lot of "dramaland" (multiple twists, jealous villains, gross coincidences,...)
=> Series which fully deserves its high rating (which I will perhaps watch again, just to discover new aspects of the drama)
(。◕‿◕。)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Heartfelt and Unique Love Story That Captivates Every Time!
"The Beauty Inside" is truly one of my all-time favorite dramas! I’ve rewatched it more than seven times, and each viewing is just as captivating as the first. The premise is fascinating: the female lead (FL) has the unique ability to transform into different people for a week each month. As a famous actress, this condition complicates her life in such intriguing ways. The male lead (ML) adds another layer to the story with his prosopagnosia, a condition that makes it difficult for him to recognize faces. Their relationship begins to blossom when he surprisingly recognizes her despite her transformations. The dynamic between them grows deeper as they navigate their challenges together, leading to a heartfelt contract that seals their bond.
The plot thickens when the FL discovers that the ML’s condition stems from an accident related to her—a twist that adds emotional depth and complexity to their love story. Thankfully, the drama wraps up with a satisfying happy ending.
I also love the friendships portrayed, especially the FL's relationship with her best friends, which brings a fun and supportive vibe to the series. The cute second lead couple and the ML’s quirky family add humor and warmth, even amidst some misunderstandings. The moments with the FL's mother were particularly touching; I found myself in tears during some scenes.
The FL’s bold and slightly eccentric personality makes her such an enjoyable character to watch, especially when she confronts her annoying co-actress. It’s moments like these that add a layer of fun and drama to the show.
Overall, "The Beauty Inside" is an underrated gem that masterfully blends romance, comedy, and emotional moments. It's a must-watch for anyone who loves a unique love story with well-developed characters!

Even if the story seems fun at first, the storyline isn't anything new, just some cliché brought from other drama like 'rich man and poor woman'
