I think I was way to hyped for this
I started watching this drama because everyone was saying how amazing it was and how the plot was oh so interesting. The first couple of episodes were okay and the plot was not as interesting as i though it was, but i kept going because i can't deny that the characters are charismatic. Then it seemed like the main couple got caught in a loop about their past and IT DIDN'T LEAVE THAT, I watched a lot of dramas and I know a lot of them have the little push and pull game in the middle of it but it wasn't interesting to watch, it was always the same thing over and over, i wanted to see more of the side characters who had so much potential for it to be wasted like that. The story of the main couple could've been solved way sooner maybe that way it wouldn't be so tiring to watch.Again I'm gonna say that I was probably way to hyped for this because of what everyone was saying but maybe y'all where just horny and liked to see them makeout.

Drama and comedy just right!
I confesse that I started to watch this drama without big expectatives about the plot. It was seems just like a regular drama with some funny jokes and cute moments. But I was tottaly wrong! The question in the drama's title can hold you for all the sixteen episodes and still makes you chocked. When we see Lee Young Joon interpreting a rich and powerful man, we can think theres nothing different about his character, but in the pass of each episode, a new side from this misterious man it is revealed. I really enjoy the fact that a so traumatized man can turn into a powerfull man, even with a hard personality, and how the love (it is always the love hahaha) makes with him could face his past with other eyes.
We have some really funny moments in this drama that makes you laugh, and also very emotional moments that can make you cry. Nothing exceptional, but good enough for the proposal. The hint of fantasy in exaggerated editions makes us smile without forcing anything.
If you are looking for a drama that will make you have fun and enjoy a interesting story about traumas, love, forgiviness and family, you won't regret to watch this one.

The side characters were so cute as well. It took me a while to warm up to Ms Bong and Mr Ko, but by the end, I was rooting them all on. I'm glad that every loose end got tied up neatly, and every small fragment came full circle by the end (e.g. the flowers! What kind of DETAIL?). The "hero" music had me rolling in the absurdity at times.
I'm very glad that I watched this show after seeing a few others now. It was so fun seeing our favourite Because This Is My First Life characters make cameos. And I'm so glad Ji Ah got a happier ending than this actress got in Fight For My Way — for a while there, I was worried!
I was a huge fan of the kidnapping subplot, because it was so formative to their lives. Plus, it was clearly written in as part of the "plan" from the first episode. It wasn't dragged out too long, and I'm glad there were still conflicts to handle thereafter. This drama felt a lot more like western TV shows, in the sense that after the kidnapping subplot, each episode had its own conflict that was wrapped up at the end.
Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young are so beautiful and such good actors. They seemed to be having so much fun throughout, so I'm glad they got to have this script to carry out for us fans. It was a pleasure to watch this love story!

good start ..boring end
I saw many positive reviews so I decided to give it a chance.the start was really good, nothing innovative, but a good story line.
the main female lead works as a secretary for the main male lead. she realises her whole life is committed to her work with little time left for her personal life.
when she communicates her will to leave the company the main lead slowly realises he cannot live without his precious secretary.
it could have been a good starting point, but forward in the story, it's clear that he was already in love with her from the very beginning. he hired her specifically because of their shared past. so, the whole "I don't know why I don't want to let her go" from the very first episodes doesn't make any sense.
the plot thickens when we discover that the protagonists were both held captive as kids by the same woman and developed an "obsession" for lack of better words, about finding the other kid that shared a traumatic experience with them.
after the first half of the series which includes the "kidnapped" plotline, the drama becomes really boring. nothing of substance really happens and the protagonists only talk about how much they love each other. the " slow motion falling into his arms scenes" are unnecessary copious.
the only good thing about this drama is that if you are a fan of the main actor, you won't be disappointed. he s undressed in many scenes, acts cute, talks how a "perfect romantic boyfriend " should talk.
if you are looking for a "cheesy drama" with lot of kisses this drama will do .
overall all is not "bad" but it drags out for too long.
I finished "crazy love" before this and It was much more fun and entertaining.

I thought it stunk
This drama made me think, do all Koreans talk to themselves ALL.THE.TIME.? Is it a bad thing for Korean ladies to have their natural hair color or is it a law now, of course this drama is a bit old, to have to dye it an awful reddish color? Do all Koreans sleep with the lights on?Only good part for me was Park Min-Hwan's character is quite the cutie with a beautiful smile. Only reason I started watching it is cause Park Seo-Joon looks a lot like my late Japanese friend and I enjoyed his roles in "Itaewon Class" and "She Was Pretty", but his character is this drama is very unappealing. Very weak script IMO, the only thing that was interesting was when the two characters were children, but even that is quite unbelievable.

CLASSIC CEO STORY!
I LOVE THIS SERIES!From the ML and FL acting, OST, production and supporting cast, BRAVO!!!
Seriously, it takes almost a miracle to get this rating from me. The rewatch value is worth it. The dynamic emotional changes with both ML and FL are worth mentioning. ML (Park Seo Joon), of course he has the look, presence, etc. However, to go from strong, egotistical to vulnerable, broken and in love felt genuine and impressive. The way ML spoke without speaking throughout the series linked the love and trauma together beautifully. The FL (Park Min-Young), beautiful, smart and naive...yet the writers did not make her clueless even in the odd situations in which she was placed. THANK YOU! I love that she was a strong FL that may not be experienced in love but is still self-aware. when it comes to the supporting cast, I want to say to the writer's "well-done" on how to incorporate a strong supporting cast without their storyline taking over the main. The best friend to the male lead (Kang Ki Young) was a treasure! He was both smart and funny and made the almost unattainable ML seem more relatable. OST and BTS/Location/Grips Production - That's how you produce at great product. You all truly paid attention to detail! This should be noted, because when you view a lot of different series, you can tell when it is and is not done well.
The trauma element is not overdone or forced within this series. The way of the reveal and how the family all came through it all was nicely done. This is a CLASSIC that many dramas (both C-dramas and K-dramas) have tried to recapture the look, feel chemistry and some come close; yet many fall short. I must mention the CEO when he was young (Moon Woo Jin) This child is one to watch! He is truly gifted. Overall, I can't say enough for this tight production inside and out. You all are worth every nomination and award received.
WELL DONE!!!

I really got bored watching this drama. Nothing interesting was happening, all the chapters were the same and I couldn't wait to finish it. The secondary couples were much more interesting.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

What's endearing about this show is Young-joo. He's unabashedly egotistical and self-absorbed, but his comedic timing in this series is near perfection. At the same time, Secretary Kim is smart and sassy. No damsels-in-distress here. Just sit back and watch these two dynamic personalities clash. Additionally, while we get to learn our couple's backstories and journeys that led to the current situation, the series starts with the dramatic resignation. Rather than get to know the characters as the get to know each other, this is the point where many couples are already giving the traditional 10-year aluminum. This series comes with all the cliches you want in a rom-com including love triangles and office romances, but it also has a nice depth of tackling some of the problems a boss/secretary relationship would encounter. If you want a model of a rom-com that does it right, look no further than What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?

A drama made to enjoy
This is one of those series made to enjoy. It has romance, comedy, a little drama and even some suspense. Nothing very pretentious or deep, but a fun love story full of clichés that delight viewers. It became one of my favorite comfort dramas since I first watched it and I have rewatched it many times.
Park Seo Joon is my favorite actor, and in this series, we see his ability to make people laugh. What's more, the on-screen chemistry between him and Park Min Young is undeniable.
My only criticisms are that some secondary characters are too overacted, and that a couple of chapters at the end were not really needed in the plot (when the female lead is not so focused on the arrangements she should be making).
And since this is a light romance comedy, I understand why it doesn't delve into the traumas and narcissism of the male lead. I agree with it.
Lastly, I can't help but mention that Park Seo Joon's kisses in this series are among my favorites.

The plot is not much complicated and simply balanced ... It is a good thing that their past connection is not a coincidence and rise suddenly.. well planned. ❤️
The leads chemistry is funny, emotional yet "Super Hot " as a couple ???????? Park seo joon done simply awesome performance as an adorable narcissist, his expressions, feelings, everything is portrayed perfect and has the "Aura" .???? Park Min Young's classy style as secretary is Superb...She is hardworking and perfect.. I just love her character. The side characters are also loveable and have their own little love stories... which is cute. The dialogues, comic timings specially between Park Seo joon and Kang Ki-young.
Background music is average.
If you're looking for best rom-com to lighten your mood. This is best for it. With loads of laugh and romance. This is worth watching.

I really enjoyed this show. However, I really wish that the female lead had taken the vice chairman down a peg or two instead of always agreeing with him that he's so great! Who does that? Isn't he a little too into his own awesomeness? Also, episode 16 was a bit underwhelming. Otherwise, though, this show was excellent, and would recommend it to any of my K-drama loving friends. Watch this for the acting, but jus t be aware that there are a few things that can rub a person the wrong way. And they don't get fixed. Was this review helpful to you?
