Extreme Job was as typical as any comedy cop movie could be, just like how ordinary a simple fried chicken was. There were B-rated police team, who were basically good at failing and on the verge of being broken up. But instead of serving it as it is, the movie was elevated by adding its funny but no nonesense characters, their actors and comedic timing, and its unique & entertaining plot, similar to how the Galbi sauce uplifted the boring fried chicken to its trademark status. I've already seen it three times since I couldn't help but recommend it to anyone who was interested. And of course, I always had to sit through it with them to survey their reaction XD. Despite the repetition, it still get me in stitches throughout, each time.It defies a lot rules and protocols of police work, and basically of sensibility, so there's no point of taking it seriously on it's representation of the job, but nonetheless, it's extremely (pun intended) funny. I will not stop on recommending it to others any time soon, so I might see it for the fourth time if I get the chance ^^;

Hialriously epic!
The Actors are awesome. Story is awesome. I need to know who wrote this masterpiece! Great lines and a total surprise. Nothing, to me, was predictable. So so good. Lots of hilarity and action ensues. Its a must watch y'all . Wish it was on Netflix or hulu though. I had to purchase it on google movies app. Its available on youtube probably too for rent or buy. Will defi itely be watching more korean movies. Have watched Exit, Alive and The Divine Fury already... definitely recommend those. Alive was a bit of a letdown though but the others were awesome in their own right.

What an epic unexpected action comedy film that makes it to my best movies of all times
I'm not sure if it's the same for whoever is reading this but this movie is just right up my alley. Not that I hate action but I find it boring with just that so combining it with a subtle comedy is exactly my taste.I've seen this movie in a poster on the drama, "Class of Lies" and then bumped into it into several advertisements and made me curious what this movie is about. I had no expectations at all on what's coming but it made me laugh so hard. The plot itself is absurd but watching it happening is really funny. They're like a group of crazy people like me.
The casts really portrayed their role well. It doesn't feel awkward at all and I cannot imagine any characters to be replaced by someone else. The action scenes are good, not too over the top and just enough.
I don't know why but although the plot is absurd, I really loved it because everything feels natural and everything just fell into its proper places without feeling off. This is really one of the best movies I can recommend and you can also watch with family.

Laugh-out-loud Funny
This is the funniest movie that I have seen in a while. The humor in Korean productions usually does not appeal to me, but this time I laughed from start to finish. Extreme Job is a worthy representative of its genre. The story revolves around four disaster detectives and their chief, Go Sang Gi, who, despite having been in the force for twenty years, has still not been promoted to Captain. The squad is so notorious for their incompetence that other detectives are hesitant to entrust cases to them, so when Go Sang Gi's friend Chief Choi of the organized crime division asks him to take on an important case for him, Go and his four subordinates seize the opportunity to prove that they are capable and worthy of promotion. Going undercover as chicken men, though, they get more than they have been prepared for as their restaurant becomes incredibly successful.
This premise is great comedy material, and both the script and the actors deliver on it. There is not one weak performance in this movie. Everyone is hilarious. Of course, the five main actors stand out with their brilliant comedic timing and chemistry.
The story might not be unique, but it is so well-written that it entertains and even surprises. The high-quality production and the OSTs, which fit their scenes well, make watching it even more enjoyable.
Overall, if you are in the mood for a comedy, this movie is a great choice.

Them boys like chicken fr
I really like this movie, the acting is kind of hammed up and cheesy at times which plays in it's favor. The way they get so immersed into their side job that and even straight up ignore the stakeouts was pretty funny, as well as realistic. They seemed kind of downtrodden and like they had given up until that final arc. I was even rooting for them to keep the store and hoping it would be their main job since it brought them some amount of happiness even though the work was getting to them. Really happy with how this movie ended, but all in all I'd say it's in a weird in-between of being a good and really good movie. But that's entirely up to my own personal tastes and not at the fault of the movie itself. I recommend it, and can see myself coming back to it in the future for a rewatch which is cool. I don't normally feel like movies have much rewatch valueWas this review helpful to you?
funny, nice one
It was funny. Definitely worth a watch! I took some time to complete this because my experience was hampered by poor subs placement but overall, I still had an enjoyable time.I liked the humour. The characters had this straight face while saying/doing some hilarious things which made it more enjoyable to me as a viewer. heheh...The fight scenes were great. I liked the violence that came across as effortless in many of the scenes.
The most memorable part for me was the fight at the end where the two super talented (at combat) ladies had the great showdown. Got chills for a second or two there!

Mostly dumb but overall entertaining slapstick police comedy
This movie has been a huge hit for the South Korean box office and is starring very well-known veterans actors. It is a police comedy with a lot of slapstick humour which works overall well but lack emotions.I was a bit disappointed by the story because the team of cops we follow are overly dumb and bad at their job. I know that it is the point of the film to have seemingly "good-for-nothing" police officers trying their best during their investigation and raising to the occasion, but it felt really too much here and I found myself not really invested in their successes.
Overall, characterization was lacking in the scenario. The protagonists are not that endearing to the viewer and seem written quite superficially in a caricatural way. There are very few female characters but I was happy to see that the couple of them more central to the plot were represented as bad-ass and strong women.
The cast did a good job however I think the script was a bit limiting for them, preventing them to express their full potential. It is especially the case for Ryu Seung Ryong and Shin Ha Kyun which are both delivering solid performances (but nothing compared to the outstanding roles they hold in others series I recently discovered them in).
Despite those defaults, I still had a good time watching the movie. I found the production value pretty high and I enjoyed the invigorating soundtrack as well. Overall, it is entertaining and well made.
I would recommend this to people looking for a blockbuster police comedy with a good ensemble cast. It is a fun ride which lack substance and characterization but does the job in term of entertaining value. And sometimes, that is enough for sure.

I wanna eat that emperor chicken
I am one of those who watched the Chinese remake Lobster Cop, first and overall kind of liked it, but when I watched the Original Korean Movie “Extreme Jobs” I was stunned. I felt like what crap did the Chinese do to such a good movie. The original movie is 1000 times better.Story: “Extreme job” which is running the restaurant is their undercover but it also shows how they are trapped in the crime while trying to entrap a criminal gang.
Acting: the actors seem to be made for the characters. They not just acted but they lived the characters. Their dialogues and expressions were spot on. Actors looked unattractive with rugged and rough language, but that was the beauty. They are not on some fashion show, but cops who catch criminals so their personalities and looks suited them.
Humor: is extremely good. It is situational-based and not forced. Every act feels like my jaw would drop laughing.
Action: it is awesome. I just love it. They fight like humans, not superheroes. They get hurt and bruised but they continue with all their might
Music: in action movies what counts as music, gunshots or the fight squeaks, or walking with shoe sounds. Otherwise, BGM is done finely.
Rewatch: this movie is worth rewatching. It can make one laugh and happy.
