The two are anthology series that deal with some pretty messed up people. GFN is much better written, but both are good. Episodes 2,4, and 7 of TDDUP are really good, I loved them.

A mystical person appears in order to bring out the dark side of human beings. The motivation is not totally clear, but both main characters seem to enjoy the suffering they create.

Both series have the same girl play different characters in each episode that consists of unconnected stories.

Both thai shows focus on mutiple characters and their stories/struggles etc.. they have similar themes of jealousy, hatred, revenge, consequences of actions and how things can easily sprial out of control etc and have a similar feel to me. The characters that connect all the story (in GFN Nanno and in AGTTPYH the shop owner) are supernatural and hard to define beings that are seemingly immortal. Girl from Nowhere is alot more episodic though.

Other than taking place primarily in schools, the plots are not similar at all, but both of these shows are very unique. Both have a weird vibe to them I cannot describe.

If you like the deep psychological, dark, and revenge aspects of "revenge", then watch "Girl from Nowhere".

This movie is like the Show but better by 1000%!
Both antiheros are Godlike, and the movie has solid plot unlike the anime/show
Recommend watching the movie if you liked Girl from nowhere and the Dark plotlines.

Similar aspect of revenge drama, Main antihero are god like

in a school setting, there are strong female leaders who are willing to do anything to fulfill their beliefs. the dark plot of the series revolves around bullying, sexual assault and revenge / punishment.

Both are a supernatural/fantasy thriller centered in school, and shows a lot of bad things people can do to be accepted in school and in life. In Girl From Nowhere the FL is the "ghost" and, in Detention, the FL kinda has to deel with the ghost.

The Girl From Nowhere series contains a certain feel and vibe that is present within some of the episodes of On Children. This vibe being a more dark and psychological look on society, using different elements to metaphorically display a person's hidden evil self. It is also similar as in both shows, each episode is set in a different setting.

Both have that psychological & high school elements to them. They are not the same though, Extracurricular is not an anthology. But it centers around high school kids doing illegal activities.

In "Kesenai "Watashi": Fukushu no Rensa", Shoko carries out the revenge on the bullies who ruined her life. In "Girl From Nowhere", Nano acts as the representative for those who were wronged by dealing out karma, getting revenge and ruining the lives of perpetrators.
