hmmm i have no problem that this plot isn't…

hmmm i have no problem that this plot isn't including scenes from the first "make", but its just disjointed, when Forth has almost no interaction or repour with Yo and he is suddenly all into Yo - i guess there is attraction at first sight - but when u see the first "make" of this drama, there is some logic - Yo and Forth have some screen time to develop some kind of attraction.. here is just comes off as "out of the blue". so the preview showing him willing to fight Pha for the pleasure of dating Yo, seems over the top and out of the blue IMHO **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************what i do miss and feel was done really well in the first "season" was the friendship between Ming and Yo - they were the best of buds, Ming was one hell of a great friend - here he is just an acquaintance. a lot of their interaction is just buddies, not best friends and i miss that. also the first Ming was the bomb as a character and a friend - yeah he was also a goof-ball but he was a fun character, that i looked forward to see what he gonna do next - this Ming is bland in comparison. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************side note - the whole story of Pha's declaring he aint into boys, was cause he was surrounded by straight guys - here it seems both his friends r openly into guys - so what's the hold up?!? and yeah going by the past drama - as here that issue wasn't addressed - so maybe the reason will be different - will have to wait and see..

Still not comparable to Season 1

I'm warming up a bit more to the new cast, but I still can't get past the new Pha. In season 1, one of my favorite moments was when Yo slept on Pha's lap on the way to the beach. It appears that scene has been cut here. It seems so far that the truly developmental scenes between Yo and Pha have been cut for the sake of condensing their story down into a few episodes. The scenes that made me love Yo and Pha in the first place haven't been present here so far and it's truly been disappointing to far. It makes me not want to continue the season. Is it even going to be believable when they officially get together in a couple of episodes? At this point, I'm only sticking it out to see what happens with the other couples, because I really don't like how Yo and Pha's relationship is playing out.

I still keep comparing with season 1

The scene where Wayo dances with glasses on was one of my fav scenes in s1, I still like it better in comparison.. Even with his umm imperfect acting, old Pha had awesome reactions to seeing the boy resembling his old crush dancing. He kinda did nail it.Also, I do not know how the original story goes, I do like the older flashback better - where a young Pha after getting into a fight/ bullied runs away crying and happens upon Yo playing with kitten and his whole mood shifts from upset to amused to mesmerized and a little smitten - that was cute, and I am a sucker for smaller details like that, so points to season 1 again.

2 MOONS 2 (2019) EPISODE TWO: DEPTH

I never really thought that I would like the execution more than I did in episode one. I expected that I won't be able to give it another five stars but it turns out that the episode deserves it. Since it is still part of the recap, I couldn't help but include some few points related to the first series; however, I highly believe that I will be able to discuss it as its own after the recap.

First, let's discuss the storyline in the episode. I really like how the scenes were able to include several details that could build the appropriate atmosphere of Wayo and Phana's story. It was able to exhibit Phana's emotions throughout the episode because it provided Phana's side really well especially after he found out that Wayo was the boy he likes. I was worried at first because I thought Phana's standpoint would be just like how it was portrayed in the last one where it just became additional parts and it won't be shown thoroughly. It really made me sense his feelings for Wayo. I love the arrangement of scenes in the episode. It was suitable that the flashback was placed after he saw Wayo to create that nostalgic tone. The episode was able to express the pursuit of Forth and Phana really well through various parts (I couldn't even decide between the two even though I know what will happen ❤ ). In addition, I felt that Forth likes Wayo in the episode. The little details such as small talks between Wayo and Phana was a great decision because it was necessary to show the progression of their relationship. I also love how the character of Wayo was explored more through his imaginations because it really provided depth to his character.

Second, the other characters were able to obtain decent amount of screen time that they all shone in this episode. Basically, they were able to establish the foundation of the characters and start the stories of the other couples (Mingkit). I could really see the friendship of Phana, Kit and Beam as well as friendship of Ming and Wayo. The interactions were really believable and hilarious. On a side note, the choice of music and cinematography were fine. The conversations were more natural compared to the first series. They were convincing enough to be college students. I was really shocked that there were no cringey scenes for me except for a few "blushing moments". The iconic "umbrella" scene was really sweet and hilarious. It had a more natural tone to it.

Lastly, the acting of the cast really improved. I was extremely impressed of Ben because in my opinion, he was doing a good job as Phana. He really stepped up his game because he officially became the only Phana in my mind. The facial expressions were great! In accordance with this, the other actors - Nine, Earth, Phoom, Joong, and Dome are doing a great job as well. Each character became alive and interesting to watch. Most importantly, the chemistry was also undeniable in every interaction. Overall, the episode has depth that I was looking for and I could not wait for the next episodes.
