Disclaimer: This might seem like a little bit bless for you. so sorry ._. , but I like it so much!:-) I reallyyy love The Prince of Tennis! (I watched the anime after) This version is sooo good. I watched it three times already. Every thing of it was very good. All the casts is reallyy really awsome. They are so cute playing together, althrough some of them didn't seem like high school student hahaha but I still like it tho(and actually lots of them are really older than that). And they all have very great chemistry to each other. Seeing them play tennis is really amazing. There are so many funny scenes that you shouldn't miss. The OST is really good too, I am trying hard to sing it right now.
These are my favorite characters. *a bit spoilers*
> Peng Yuchang as Lu Xia. He is really cute when he eats or take off his little cap. But he looks really cool when he plays tennis.
> Dong Li as Qiao Chen. He is really cute, too. I like how he really love hamburgers. And look how tall he is, he is a giant.
> Xu Ke as Tang Jiale. I really like his personality, it was really cute. Also how he smiles a lot. And when he was in the competition, he is really cool too.
> Zhang Yijie as Zhuo Zhi. Omgg He really is a genius guy. Really cool!
> Song Yiren as Qi Ying. She is really really cute. (so thinnn, look at myself T^T) (and she is not annoying for me at all)
> Ren Yankai as Ji Jingwu. He's like handsome, rich, arrogant guy. so charming.
But all of them are good.
The story is just all about tennis, friendship, dreams and things (not love going on that much, hope that ss2 will have more). Every single match is really amazing, always make me nervous and proud at the same time. The ending confused me(just a bit), they're not the champion yet, that's why I think there should be another season. I'm in love and can't move on from this. I'm looking forward and need season two very very much!
*You SHOULD watch this one. You will NOT disapointed.*
/Sorry for my terrible English

Hope for season 2 please..????
I already finished watched the drama. I like all the cast for this movie specially main cast act as Lu Xia.. He so cute in this drama. ? I am his fan now. hehehe. I think this drama will have season 2 because of the scene in the first episode. The scene that Lu Xia in the waiting room and his name was called than he walk out. I think that scene maybe trailer for 2nd season because there no such of scene for the whole episode. I also want to see another competition that they will fight for win. I love their friendship in this movie. All the actor bring their character so well. This kind drama also make smile and cry at the same time. So please have 2nd season for this drama. I will wait until it come. Please??Was this review helpful to you?
The best live action Tenipuri I've seen to date
I'm sure this review is unnecessary, considering this title came out a minute ago and my opinion isn't worth much but I'd be dishonoring my younger self if I didn't give credit where credit is due where a Prince of Tennis product is concerned.Like the title says, this might be my favorite live action adaptation of Prince of Tennis (without counting tenimyu, because that's another beast entirely). Hands down.
Even though the characters and teams were re-named (due to the switch of country), their personalities were fleshed out really well and the characterization was delivered with a lot more nuance than I had anticipated. The relationships between the characters was explored more than in other live action versions and they chose their focus well.
The age of the characters was increased, going from the original middle school age (which is whacky bananas at this point, Konomi, that 40-year-old-looking-man is not 14) to a more believable high school age, with actors over the age of 20. That worked, not only because it fits the target audience better, but also because they were able to go in depth with added conversations I was super impressed with.
My favorite, for example, was that they gave Oishi/DaYong a struggle with anxiety that made his fight with Eiji/Jiale a lot more intense when it happened and the match against this version's Hyotei a lot more meaningful. It works really well narratively-wise to deepen his journey as a vice captain, considering his abilities and the situation regarding Tezuka/SiYang's health, with something like that, and they handled it really well.
They also gave Sakuno/Qi Ying more room, as well as her relationship with Ryoma/Lu Xia, which gives the show a bit more of a romantic flare than the original, not enough to interrupt the tennis, but enough to sustain the show in a market of cdramas by its own.
The references to the original were everywhere (cakes with chibi versions of the characters included) and, despite the insatiable censorship, the tension between the characters that the anime loves to play with was there 100%, for whoever wants to know.
All in all, I hope with all my heart this gets another season and we can see them at Nationals because it's been a blast and there's still more Prince of Tennis to adapt with a cast as great as this one.

Pretty good adaptation of the anime
I watched the first 100_ episodes of the anime back in 2013. It was the first anime watched but I really enjoyed it. So when I heard that they were releasing a live action Chinese version, I was both excited and skeptical. I was excited to see how they would adapt the anime into live action but I skeptical because I don't have a very good impression of Chinese shows. I was also afraid the drama wouldn't give justice to the anime. That said, I think this was a pretty good adaptation. As I was watching this, one of the struggles was trying to connect my knowledge of the characters with the characters that appeared in the drama. The names were all in Chinese and the character appearances didn't immediately bring to mind the characters they were trying to portray. However, I think the actors did a pretty good job expressing the personality of each character.
I also think they did a pretty good job choosing which parts of the animo to include in the 40 episodes. There were some scenes in the drama that looked exactly like some frames in the anime.
The action scenes were mostly close up shots. It would have been better if there were more wide angle shots to see the play on the whole court. Although, maybe the games wouldn't have looked as impressive if done this way (I wouldn't know).
Overall, I don't have many complaints considering this is an adaptation. I have never seen the other live action adaptations but I think this was done very well. I might be biased since watching this was very nostalgic.
If you are a fan of the Prince of Tennis anime series, you'll probably enjoy this too. And even if you're not a fan, I think it's still a pretty good and wholesome story about friendship, self growth and reaching for your goals.

Its really interesting drama
The story is good..If you a fan of PoT you should watch this
Its really should be on your watching list.
But.. That girl in the drama is too annoying
The story line is already good enough without her annoying dreaming watching Lu Xia all the time. She act like a creepy stalker in my opinion. But other than that character, this drama is soooo good.. I like the way they got their own specialty skills that wow you just like the anime. (❁´◡`❁)
That is.. Please support and watch this drama o(〃^▽^〃)o

I am not a tennis lover, but watching this drama fascinates me with the techniques and strategies of tennis sport.
Don’t expect romance or love story in this drama, it is very minimum.
This drama mostly tells about tennis sports competition, friendship, finding identity to be the best tennis player and team cohesiveness to be the winner.
I thought I would get bored watching this drama, and I was wrong.
I keep watched episode after episode and was curious about the continuation of its story. Interesting drama with a unique story and you will not get bored to spend every minute to watch this drama.

Just wanna point out that I'm a HUGE fan of the anime, I couldn't even count how many times I've re-watched the anime so obviously, my 10 is reserved for the anime and my review is all about the comparison between the two.First off, the characters. Visually, most of them were great for their roles (all of Seigaku/ Yu Qing were good-looking). I have no problem with the fact that they changed them fro middle schoolers to high schoolers. Lu Xia (Ryoma) is not as lovable but I got used to him gradually. My favorite are Qiao Chen(Momo) and Tang Jiale (Kikumaru) - they are so effin' cute.
Major differences that I liked are:
One, Lu Xia's relationship with his father. Nanjirou was cool but it was so heartwarming seeing how much Lu Xiangqian dotes on his son.
Two, the development between Lu Xia and Qi Ying(Sakuno) which I guess natural given that they are 3 years older from the original.
Three, Ji Jing Wu (Atobe-sama). I love Atobe-sama with all of my being but he was a b!tch at the beginning of the anime even after that he was a bit much. But here, Ji Jing Wu shred off that excess b!tchiness - still a b!tch but in the right amount.
Now, for the differences that I don't really care for:
One, I've offended by this - Momo and Tachibana Ann's relationship. I love the dynamics of their relationship in the anime but here they changed it completely, they made Qiao Chen a besotted teenager and Xu Xingzi(Ann) a tease - like, what the hell?
Two, Baiyang and Yan Zhi Ming (Inui). They still followed the story but I don't care for Baiyang's attitude towards Zhi Ming. Kaido was never that disrespectful towards his seniors specially Inui.
This version is mostly based on the manga rather than the anime specially with the game rosters and scores by the way. The show didn't really focus on the out-of-this-world techniques as much the anime which seems to be a good thing because they could - most probably - fvcked it up. They matches are shorter too as expected. It's fine overall, I guess, but the major con would be the audience wouldn't be as attached to the characters from other school as compared to the anime/manga which for me is a very big part of my PoT experience.
Overall, I enjoyed this series very much. Though I would love another season, it pretty much closed the story after the Kanto Tournament and with no apparent loose end.
