Adorable, wholesome, melodrama-free show
This show is so refreshingly sweet and escapist and revolves around a group of soon-to-be college graduates as they navigate friendship and love. The main storyline follows Gu Wei Yi, an introverted physics student and Si Tu Mo, a bubbly accounting-turned-advertising student as they accidentally move into together and fall in love. There's very little drama so no breaking up of the main couple for stupid reasons or stuff like that. You just get to watch the main couple be cute together, which is nice. The second lead couple, Wang Shan and Fu Pei, don't have as developed of a storyline, but that's all right, because I was mostly watching for the main couple anyway. The show has similar vibes to A Love so Beautiful (unsurprisingly, because they're both based off books by the same author). Both shows revolve around a young student couple where the girl is super bubbly and the guy is very introverted, and there are a bunch of love triangles. But unlike in ALSB, in Put Your Head on My Shoulder, the main couple meets each other for the first time in the pilot episode, there's not as much one-sided love, and the love triangles fade fairly quickly. Also, because the characters are in college, not high school, they're a bit more mature, and obviously, the individual plotlines are very different.
Music: I love the opening and closing credit theme songs!! They're so adorable and perfect for the show's tone. The rest of the soundtrack is good, too.
High rewatch value because it's just such a happy, feel-good show :)

PLOT:
I feel like the plot itself was just the cohabitation and how two people meet and fall in love. The Male Lead is a typical icy yet sweet guy who appears cold on the surface but is a puppy when in love. The Female Lead is bubbly, outgoing and lacking in common sense. Both seem opposites but the ML falls for her way earlier on than she does and does a lot of sweet things for her. Rest of the drama was about how they get close. Plus, thankfully there weren't any villains or clingy second leads. The heroine's male friend was annoying but he gets over her and tries to moves on with another girl but sadly never grows as a character. What is sad was how the overall premise was alright / passable, but the execution didn't quite hit the mark when it came to keeping me engaged. The secondary characters are all uninteresting and the romance between the leads is awkward as heck once they get to the dating stage. The parents were intolerable and new characters are introduced later on for no reason.
ROMANCE:
Meh. It was sweet till the leads actually confessed to each other. After that they spend all their time together to the point where it seems like they have no interests outside each other. Their relationship lacked maturity in communication and they are always dying to be together and their skinship wasn't fun either. There are no real conflicts they face and neither do they seem to be in a healthy relationship. It was boring because there was all fluff and no real talk between the two.
ACTING:
I didn't like Fair Xing but it seemed like she has potential. Her hairstyle and clothes were horrible and playing a ditzy college girl wasn't the best role for her. The main actor is cute and seems to have potential as this is his debut drama. None of the other actors made an impression on me apart from the ones whom I have seen in other works.
REWATCH VALUE:
No, thanks. I won't take this on again. It would be very challenging as skipping scenes is what got me to the end.
OVERALL:
If you like two people being in love, who are childish and are a pair that never get anywhere but are just CUTE - then this is the drama for you. I wish the characters of the main leads were written well because that is literally who the plot revolves around. In no way did I envy their relationship as I do with romance dramas because it never gave me healthy or fun vibes. Everything was cute in a boring way.
Time to move on to the next drama.

The main couple is extremely cute and are quick to work out misunderstandings. There really wasn't a second male love interest, which I appreciated. If the couple had problems, they were quickly worked out, and the male lead works really hard to learn about love. There were a lot of cute moments in here between the side characters as well. The biggest thing I didn't care for out of this drama was Fu Pei's character. I just couldn't make myself like his storyline. Also, the mom who kept pressuring them about dating and marriage. Wasn't a huge fan of that.
All in all, nice filler drama to occupy your time if your looking for something that is relatively noncommittal and sweet.

It's OK
I only watched this show because it's short and several people recommended the show as the main couple are mature and incredibly cute. I love the co-habitation line. The story progressed well, but I found myself forcing myself to finish the show. It gets so boring once the main couple get together, the progression is cute though. As for the overall plot, it doesn't exist. Also no character progression, the leads were still pretty immature. The show is meant to also be comedic, but I couldn't even let out a smile.

Slice of Life, Sweet, Warm, Cute, and Hilarious without being Stupid
I don't know who came up with the drama description, but I almost skipped this one because of it, and boy would that have been a loss for me! To clarify, FL is NOT some indecisive buffoon who doesn't know what to do with her life. Quite the opposite, actually; she is very proactive, motivated, and methodical about how she wants to pursue life after college in terms of her career. This isn't some genius guy falls in love with dumb bimbo sort of story. In many ways, FL is smarter than ML; she just happened to not be a science major. What the description should actually say is that the FL realized towards the end of college that she actually wanted to pursue a career outside her major, and due to having to amass the credentials to apply for job positions once she graduates, winds up living in the same apartment as the ML. Now that we've gotten that cleared up, let's go over what's great about this show.1. Plot
The show is about fourth-year college students who are on the cusp of entering the adult world. They are young enough to still be innocent in some areas, but mature enough that they don't pull childish moves on each other out of spite. There are no dramatic twists, no angsty deaths or injuries, no catfights out of petty jealousy. The drama lies in how people who are in love figure out how to show it, and honestly? That's interesting to watch, because if you think about it, even though this seems very straightforward, if someone were to ask you to give them advice on how to approach someone they like but don't know if this is reciprocated, how easy would it be for you to teach them? Interspersed between this is the college life of preparing for a future while indulging in the present as long as it lasts. Characters have fun. Characters get stressed about the future. All things that anyone who's gone through college ought to sympathize with. The romance feels clean and despite the weird premise (in the real world I don't think any parent would set up their children to live together if they're of different genders, at least not in China) it actually feels realistic, and I can see a real couple going through something similar. At no point did I get frustrated with how intentionally dense someone was, or feel like we've taken a step backwards. Everything was smooth and logical and all the characters reacted reasonably to their situations. Watching this drama feels like skating on freshly smoothed ice, or sledding on undisturbed snow.
2. Music
I came across a lot of dramas where the music wasn't great. It wasn't even that the music itself was bad; sometimes the songs were great songs. They just weren't used well. Most of the time, they can be intrusive, and jar you out of the immersion instead of pulling you in deeper. The music in this drama features a rotating queue of a limited soundtrack list, however they all fit well with what's happening onscreen, and enhance the often playful, optimistic tone of the show.
Also, the sound effects. Puppies barking, kittens meowing, frogs ribbiting. On point, and just the cutest.
3. Side characters are enjoyable
And they don't steal time from the main couple! In many dramas, I've generally fast-forwarded any secondary character scenes (I'm looking at you, Dilraba Dilmurat from Eternal Love. Why were you even there? You added absolutely nothing! Just stick with the Pillow Book and stop stealing screen time from Yang Mi!) but in this drama, all of the characters contributed in some way to the main arc, even when they had their personal arcs. And the editing was such that when we did focus on their stories instead, it functioned as a much-needed change of scenery. They were also built up well; as secondary characters, they shouldn't be as fleshed out as the main couple, and the show doesn't try. These characters felt solidly like a supporting cast, until the plot introduced a question that only they could answer, and only then did the show flesh them out, in a quick, efficient way that was both sufficient and satisfying. It really felt like they enhanced the story without detracting from it, which is something many shows struggle with (like you, Sunshine of My Life, with freaking THREE romances going on at once. I saved so much time fastforwarding and I still didn't miss a thing.)
4. Good to relieve stress
This isn't a show that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Go watch Game of Thrones if you're in the mood for that. There are no adrenaline highs and no cathartic lows here. In the end, this is just a show about reasonable people with common sense who are good to each other because they love each other. Though seriously, how many (good) shows like this can you name?

AND what I really enjoyed was the great use of the OST's and sound effects. I'm a sucker for sound effects used to accentuate funny moments and this drama does a great job doing that! I also totally bought into the love story of the 2 MCs. They were so cute together and they're innocence was adorable to watch. And the trope throughout the whole drama - how the male MC thought with a scientific mind while the female MC thought with a more laymen's mind - was realistically funny to see from both sides when they misunderstood each other and came to understand one another.
The drama is easily binge-watched over a long weekend with how fast-paced and fun this drama is. Nothing got draggy thankfully. And I also think that the female MC's high school crush was handled well; honestly, I thought he was a pretty big loser, but they concluded his side of the story well. The only reason this drama didn't score higher for me was just because I truly disliked the story of the high school crush - even though he was handled well in the end, I didn't care for his character or his romance/story (I came close to skipping their scenes). If I were to ever watch this again, I'd definitely skip his scenes.
Overall, very fun, light-hearted, romantic comedy. I liked it so much that I'm willing to give more C-dramas a chance in the future. Recommend for sure.

Female lead role performance good and she was cute for my view.
And
Support role characters are performed well.
This over all drama exposes maximum positive energy people only that was one puls to this drama.
And this drama not make any make any expectations that mean if you watch one episode that episode not to make expectations for next episode.
Because maximum I watch fantasy with marital arts drama only.So this was my point of view.
This all my opinion only maybe its helpful to you.

Only for the Main OTP
If you are looking for a light show with a great main couple, this is worth checking out. Cohabitation is one of my favorite tropes, and this show definitely made full use of it. Don't expect a plot-driven show though. This show is slice of life; it's all about the (main) characters and their daily lives. Also, make sure to watch the special episode on YouTube for more cute couple moments.First of all, I skipped everything with the second couple. If I had watched their scenes too, I think my overall ratings would be much lower. I hated Fu Pei from episode 1, and never looked back. I did check out a few of his last few scenes, and yeah I think I made the right decision to skip him.
The progression of the main characters' relationship from nobody -> friend -> lover makes sense, and their chemistry grows along with it. I understand why they end up together, which adds to how much I love them as a couple. There are no annoying obstacles or stupid misunderstandings in their way, and if there is a problem, it's resolved pretty quickly. Their relationship isn't perfect, but they work through their issues, and are there for each other 110%. Also, the show does a good job of making it believable that they are each others' firsts (albeit I do wish they didn't do that haha I don't mind when characters are super pro in relationships right off the bat ;))
The high rating for Acting/Cast is purely because I adored the main couple. Su Ti Mo is adorably spunky, but not annoying. She is pretty much a normal college student with goals, and she works hard to figure out what she wants in life. Also, I loved how straightforward she was about her thoughts and feelings. I really grew to love the actress, so will see if there are any other watchable shows with her.
Gu Wei Yi is an awkward dork genius, who doesn't have the best social skills, but is an honest and good person. The actor is stiffer, but he does show some improvements. To be honest, his face is not my type, but he's super tall with wide shoulders, so that evened things out for me.
There were scenes I enjoyed that were not just main lead focused such as lab team scenes (esp when Wei Yi is still trying to pursue Su Ti Mo LOL I had a soft spot for Senior Xiu as well) and the beach getaway. The beach getaway is a key episode for the main OTP as well, and is one of my favorites.
The music is okay. The sound effects were a tad overused, but when used well, it worked and I found myself laughing. For the most part, nothing stood out in a bad way.
*SPOILER ENDING*
The ending did have a bit of a rushed feel to it. I did not really like that he surprised her with a wedding. A small wedding totally makes sense for the couple. But surprise wedding in Germany where they don't have any memories together? Meh. Also, the unnecessary foreign actors who sucked? SO VERY UNNECESSARY!! Wasted scenes that could have been used on the main leads. I did appreciate the closure for Senior Xiu though. I liked her as a character, and wish her all the happiness. If it were another drama, I would be rooting for her and Wei Yi.

romantic and funny but the storyline isn’t very good
this drama was honestly okay, not good but not too bad.good: 1. the story is funny and sweet, good for people who like to watch a full romance drama
2. the ost is pretty catchy although it doesn’t suit my taste
bad: 1. the acting was a little fake to some extent like the crying and i felt they could’ve done better. 2. the whole story was just about the lead couple almost the entire time, making it a bit boring.
3. there also isn’t anything to takeaway from this drama.
4. some parts were useless and did not help to bring the story forward

I was excited to check out this drama due to the high rating. The 1st 10 episodes were great, there was a lot funny moments and i quite like the friendship shown among the ladies. Then things just get dragged on. The second couple bore me to death and the main couple felt too innocent for their age. Plus Why must every 1st love college drama ends in marriage in China. I know its rom com but the marriage felt force. Lin Yi has limited acting range while Fair Xing is a stronger actress. This drama could have easily ended at 16 episodes instead of unnecessary dragging and i found myself skipping through some scenes. Conclusion this drama is like a sweet craving you had, after you had it its just to fulfil that craving and the taste didn't linger on. I can't even recall the songs in the drama or want to rewatch any of the scenes. Sorry to those who like it but it's not for me Was this review helpful to you?
Si Tu Mo's mom is the level of parenthood I strive for ;)
First of all, the situation FL and ML are in is very unrealistic, but I love it. And how a Chinese mom forced her daughter to live with a man - I just don't even know lol. I grow up with Chinese parents and they're screaming with judgements, it's actually entertaining seeing them like that lol.But aside from all the unrealisticness, this drama is actually very good and relaxing to watch. Some people choose to watch heavy melodrama dramas to relieve their stress, but not me. Thus if you want to watch a light-hearted drama that isn't boring, this drama should entertain you. I love how ML is introverted but very warm hearted and very much in love with FL. FL too has a very likeable character, not too loud and not too cringey-aegyo-cutesy either.
If I have one thing to complain about this drama is how toxic Fu Pei is, and he still gets his happy ending. But I don't really get bothered by it because his character isn't necessarily important in the series. Oh and he too gets a character development, so I guess it's just me being overly fuzzy.
Oh and that ML's cunning senior too and how she tries to put FL in her place is just unbearable to watch.
