9.0/10 - Solid story telling!

Heads up I'm reviewing the episodes in their full one hour run. It's to hard breaking them up into the 30 min that they tried out for a while there. So this is review episodes 1 and 2.

There's always a bit of leeway you have to give a drama with the first few episodes. Info dumps happen as writers try to setup the story and introduce the characters. However, Spring Turns to Spring is solid! Impressively so!!! It was so easy to follow and you immediately get a feel for the the main leads and their lives. The people around them and where they currently are. It truly is impressive!

It starts out with a zap and a bang. Literally! We see that body swapping is real, only to have one of the members of the team start to shoot everyone! Bom Il survives escaping to Bom Sam with the body swapping serum. Bom Il lies and says the serums are to age people. What I love is how fast the writing let's us now about the Boms in the orphanage and that Bom Sam is Obsessed with Bom Mi. He doesn't like that she abandoned him and he wants to make her old so that he can take care of her. Yeah . . . that doesn't make me like him. Selfish jerk.

Bom Mi is our anchor woman. She's a fighter. Growing up in an orphanage as one of the Boms, Bom 2 to be exact, you can tell she's fighter. Not to mention having to deal with a clinging Bom who's obsessed with her. She's rude. Very rude and only cares about herself. I'm very curious about her back story. When the body swap happens she's got her first official role as the anchor job she's been fighting for.

Lee Bom is an ex-actress. Now retired to support her husband as he's running for some kind of office . . . which I'll find out. She's a hard worker and kind. Too kind. Naive. Her husband and agent are having an affair. And as they talk about her I just feel so protective of her. She's an ex-actress, but she's willing to get down to the nitty gritty to clean and give the people who are important to her stuff. She trains for he marathon, and even when unknowingly tricked by her agent to be in a in a smart quiz show she does her best. Even though I think her manager/assistant wanted her to bomb and be humiliated. That smile as Lee Bom struggled was heartbreaking, and then the look she gave Lee Bom when one of the answers she gave her came up . . . that assistant is cruel. Worrisome and I hope is handled.

Bom Mi sees Lee Bom as her competition. Lee Bom is just to kind for that, and honestly what I'm most excited about is seeing these to women becoming friends and helping each other out. I think that's always been the true heart of a body swap. Is friendship and walking in someone else's shoes.

On that note I'm excited for the ladies to figure out what has happened, and for them to work together. But more importantly. For Lee Bom's husband to get what's coming to him. That &%@^$#@!
