The story was quite simple, yet it had a special feeling in it. Sure they used the favorite cliché of all time, but the idea of the pain caused by first love still worked for me here. Everything about the story worked for me, except for two events that didn’t make sense. I won’t be mentioning the first one because I’d spoil if I do, and the other one’s the ending. Setting aside those two, the way the story was presented was lovely.
The acting was great for both the teenage and adult counterparts, though I felt more sympathy towards the adults. The music was great as well. It was poignant and exquisite.
Overall, I liked this movie. Probably because I’m a sappy kid, and I tend to like movies like this: light-toned yet beautifully heart-wrenching.

This it allows them to move on with their lives. Closure is a powerful feeling and I think both characters will be better off having finally put to rest that chapter of their lives.
The idea of first love is often romanticized to the point where you question your memories. There’s often you filter out the bad memories and only remember the good.
This movie shows that life isn't a romantic fairy tale story, where the guy finally gets the girl. It’s a sad but important message to portray. Overall though I felt the movie was slow in its pacing. There was real captivating moments and it just didn’t generate enough sparks of emotions for me. I appreciated the ideas and vibe of the film which has a good concept, but wished the movie could have been more captivating

I was pretty disappointed with this movie: the plot, cinematography and actors were great, but the main character was so annoying and obnoxious. Seung Min is described during the movie as the "nice guy" but, even though in some scenes he was quite cute and sweet, he turned out to be a weak, self - centred guy who lacks values. He was so obsessed by the fear of not being loved, that he threw away the chances he had to actually be in a relationship with his love. He literally only cared about the fact that he was heartbtoken, even though he broke Seo Yeonat's heart himself. I feel like he also blamed her when she was actually just the victim: for example when he left her alone, in front of her house, with that other guy (I don't remember his name lol, but he was the bratty one) when it was obvious that she was drunk and unconscious and that her schoolmate didn't have good intentions at all. I mean, I really don't understand why in his head the fact that she was gonna be raped meant that she loved that guy and not him! I wanted to scream at him the entire scene! He even kissed Seo Yeonat himself while she was sleeping, without asking for her consent, which I strongly believe is always necessary. And let's not forget the part in which he cut her off completely for his life. How was that okay? How?? I also want to point out that when the two of them (finally, but also wrongly) kisssed, Seung Min was engaged, and that his soon-to-be wife never got to know about that episode. Despite all these flaws, I still found this movie enjoying and entertaining because of some great scenes. The architecture parts were also quite interesting. Not sure that I would recommend it, but it wasn't terrible.

Boring watch only for cast or have nothing to watch
I don't know why it's rated so good in mydramalist but the movie was total disappointment for me. I had very great expectations as the cast is so so good /great.but the story line didn't justice to their work it would have been better how they presented all things but still it was so slow I had to watch it in 1.5x speed. Too much skipping. I don't really understand why so famous in Korea I also came from a Korean drama which had reference of this movie that's why I watch it but not really good.. also I think it was referanced in hospital playlist too ... Only if you are a fan of the cast you can watch it or if you don't have anything like anything to watch then watch it... Fan of the cast but disappointed at the story. Was this review helpful to you?
Relive your first love ?
Architecture101 is a Korean movie about first loves and making decisions. This 2012 film stars Tae Woong Uhm and Ga In Han as the adult "Seung Min Lee" and "Seo Yun Yang", and Je Hoon Lee and Suzy Bae as the younger "Seung Min" and "Seo Yun" who first met in college in Architecture 101.While this received high ratings in Korea, it was underrated abroad where Asian drama fans are always expecting deep romance and giggles. This drama is beyond that, it tackles our "first loves" when we were young, the hopes, the dreams, that feeling of having first fallen in love with someone we totally did not expect but in the end it did not work. Later in life, when we have moved on and our paths crossed again with our first love, it's all about how we handle those feelings and making adult decisions, very hard adult decisions which can make or break relationships and our future.
Architecture 101 is for adults who have faced and went through life and the challenges it threw toward us. I do not recommend this to young adults and teenagers as most of them will never appreciate the beauty of the story. Yet highly recommended for anyone who wants to capture the long lost hope, beautiful smiles, and sweet memories that only a first love can ever give.

Sometimes it has to be realistic
I know a few people dont really like when a movie becomes to realistic but me personally im fine with it. The sexual stuffs did made me question this movie but other than that this movie was good. It had a lot of silent moments which i really really like. The acting was nothing phenomenal but it make sense because the characters were meant to be realistic. Bae Suzy will probably be the only reason if I wanna rewatch this in the future because she was just so charming and beautiful in all of her scenes. The way she looks at his him, the ways she talk is too adorable. I kinda would die for her.....Was this review helpful to you?
A fond memory of college days
I loved how realistically satisfying the love story was, other than that there wasn't much I actually liked the younger version of cast bae Suzy was lovely as always and le je hoon was amazing umm there's wasn't particularly anything that stood out in this movie and the architecture part wasn't highlighted much but it's a good watch if you just want to watch something nice and slow during a Saturday evening. It's been on my watchlist since forever and finally took the time to watch it I'm sure it wasn't to my expectations .Was this review helpful to you?
Honestly, I don't relate to this mindset, but I really liked Lee Je Hoon, with his portrayal of an awkward and insecure university freshman. Suzy is just alright, since she really didn't have much to grapple with character-wise. Uhm Tae Woong deploys his usual Uhm-force, and Han Ga-in continues the consistently bland character of Seo Yeon.
I really like the ending. That's all I can say without spoiling it.

Acting/Cast - The adults are okay, but the younger girl is pretty lacking in acting
Music - Can't remember it, can't be too good and can't be too bad then, right?
Rewatch Value - I won't rewatch it unless too freaking desperate as in having only a movie available to watch.
Overall - it made me feel basically nothing but I love the ending though :)
