I have been looking for a as good as Tharntype for ages but none came near. However I finally found it. This show is as good as Tharntype. The acting, the chemistry, the fact that the couple is in a relationship throughout the series instead of all the angst other shows put us through to get the couple together, this show is just incredible.
Odio? O forse l'amore?
Both series explore the relationship between a gay and straight men, where gay character accepts their own sexuality and is willing to fall in love and form a wholesome relationship, while straight one has his doubts and internal conflict all the way through their relationship.
Both stories begin with straight character being clueless about gay man's sexuality and assumes that gay man should be very popular with women, since he is very good looking. Straight character is super unlucky with women.
Even after they clearly formed a very loving feelings towards each other and strated their relationship as a couple, straight character has troubles accepting the fact that he is with a gay man, of what people around think, and most of all the physicality of their relationship. Straight character avoids sex as much as possible, while gay character is very sexually active. Gay character is also very gentle and loving, while straight one is rough and rude, and offensive and many times unfair towards his partner and can't get past his internal conflict. Gay character is also very patient and super forgiving.

Not many similarities but if you like one you will definitely like the other
Similarities :-
Both take place in a university setting

Tharn type = roommates, Bad buddy = neighbours
Differences are too many too count

Bad buddy - Neighbours since birth, told to hate each other by their parents cause their parents don't like their neighbours. Childhood enemies and competitiors. They hate each other and never stop fighting or competing and soon they become ppl who can't be friends to someone who can't be just friends.
Both are amazing shows and worthwhile.

The same type of show, giving the same vibes:
- weak plot, but strong chemistry
- unhealthy relationship, but again strong chemistry
- a lot of skinship
- good NC and kiss scenes
- guilty pleasure watch
- both show has a music aspect and a male lead is a musician (especially in Cutie Pie, songs are awesome)

Psychological trauma....Type in the series TharnType has experienced sexual rape/molestation as a child and it has traumatized him and his feelings towards gay males. He experiences an emotional breakdown, which was triggered by his roommate Tharn, who while Type was drunk forced himself onto Type. By doing this, Type starts to fall apart.
In HIStory: Obsessed...there are two storylines playing out here...one like a dream for both characters who lose each other, the other like present day where one character holds his memories after a near death incident and the other having no idea about the other person until some drawings come into his possession that give him cause to seek out the other. The one character can't stand that he loves the other, and he wants to do his best to keep away from him, as he remembers what caused him to almost lose his life, yet the attraction can't be fought.
The trauma of death, rejection and heartbreak. The realization of love and overpowering emotions. There is mental health, insecurity issues, grief, sexual harassment and deception emcompassed within drama.
