Both are Thai BL series that make you laugh a lot and have a good time, they also have many scenes in a beach setting. In both series one of leads has to deal with a parent who is not very accepting of LGBT relationships.

Another light, cute Thai bl drama with secret crush and hate-to-love? Fighter (Why RU?) and Mork (FUTS) are at the helm of this ship, as they battle with their feelings and their crushes who desperately try to push them away.

The story itself is not really similar. I'd say they're nothing alike, but part of the cast and production team are the same. So if you've enjoyed the quality Why R U? gave you even amid COVID-19, they'll be doing a lot better now with Middleman's Love.

Both has multiple couples and show development of all them. Enjoyable easy going comedy with romance.

Both are Thai BL series that involve BL novels writing! in Why R U? Zol, Zon's sister, is a Y writer same as Gene in Lovely Writer. In both series, the leads have to deal with setting fiction and reality apart.

Both series feature a BL pairing where one character is sincere about his feelings but the other doesn't know how to express how he feels and resorts to bullying. A major plot point is them sorting out their feelings for each other.

- The have similar themes: but 'Why R U?' is a Thai BL, where one of the main charaster's sister is a sci-fi writer. His sister starts writing sci-fi stories about his brother and his friends, and.. you'll see it later what happening ;)
Meanwhile 'W' is a Korean series where one of the main character live in the sci-fi story.
- Both have romance: 'Why R U?' is a boy love series, 'W' is a male-female love story.
- Funny scenes: 'Why R U?' and 'W'has also some really funny scenes too. It's really like a romantic comedy. haha.
I recommend 'Why R U?' if you liked 'W' and if you like BL genres too~ ^^

Both are BL Thai dramas that focus on the sexual awakening of young men. Fighter reminds me a lot of Teh. They both push the physical boundaries with their enemy turned friend. Teh and Fighter continuously hurt the other person (Oh-aew and Tutor) with their thoughtless actions because they are in denial about their sexuality. If you enjoyed Fighter and Tutor's journey you might enjoy Teh and Oh-aew's (or vice versa).

This isnt similar to Fighter and Tutor but like Saifah and Zon. Zon doubted if his feelings for Sai were real or if they were in his sisters Y novel about them. In A Tale of Thousand Stars Tian has a heart disease and he passes-out one night out with his friends. That same night he made a bet that he could win a car race, but he couldn't do it bc of his condition and so his friend did and he hit a girl, Torfun. Tian got Torfun heart and late Tian asks whose heart he got but his parents wouldn't tell him bc of that accident. He finds out that Torfun died and that his car killed her. He goes to see a family member to get to now her but then finds a diary that says she was a volunteer teacher a Pun Pao village. Torfun had a wish written in her diary so Tian leaves home to go fulfill Torfuns wish at Pun Pao village. Late he meets a guy, a guy Torfun liked, and he starts to catch feelings but then he wonders if its just Torfuns heart that makes him feel like that then realizes that its not just her heart its his own feelings.

Both dramas have a character of a Fujoshi girl who writes a fiction about boys she knows and her ship(s) eventually become(s) real.
Both shows are funny and entertaining but also can make you cry at certain moments.

Made by the same director, it has a very similar style of editing, cinematography/lighting and overall atmosphere. Both have animated elements integrated with live-action too, and they even share a part of the OST. Why R U is referenced a lot through YYY, and Porpla is a fan of the series and SaifahZon shipper. Both series have playful, wholesome couples. YYY is at a higher level of 'crack energy' though, but Why R U is also more 'crack' than your average BL series.
