I entered this drama thinking it was a cute fluffy little love story but man does it change your mindset fast. Story
Where do i begin? The first few episodes made it seem like it was your typical “poor girl meets rich obnoxious guy”, it may seem really draggy but by around the 5-7th episode you’re just only getting started on the rollercoaster ride. The “plot” twist about each characters backgrounds and motives always left me in awe,, i found the second leads back story really heartbreaking ???? Although there are “dark” scenes, there’re still countless numbers of lovely dovey scenes but honestly, the “dark, gloomy” episodes are still so much more entertaining!!! I’ll stop here and let you in on your own ride!!
Acting
LET ME SAY THIS FIRST.
SIMON. IS. SUCH. A. SMOL. BEAN.
you don’t understand how i was so attracted to him? his acting in this drama was so well done!!!! he was able to pull off the “cold” guy, the “caring” guy etc (with great expressions) amazingly omg. Yiren also delivered all of her lines perfectly!! The crying scenes weren’t draggy and annoying like most cdramas show. The chemistry in this drama tho,,, dang there was so much chemistry between them.
Music
I don’t keep track of the music but the opening theme is catching
Rewatch
Absolutely!!

Plot :
It's a bit slow for me. It is so-so until its last few episodes, since I feel the need to anticipate how they untangle everything. The cause of her curse (being tasteless) is interesting for me. It jumps from comedic relief to drama to mystery to a bit thrilling moments. I think we should have no problem about it (fast forward button exists). I don't think I'm a fan of winery industry, but again, it's not really a big deal. It's fascinating enough to actually be exposed about new things.
Acting/ Cast :
Everyone is good. I just freaking LOVE OUR MAIN COUPLE THE OTHER COUPLE & EVERYONE I'M JUST FILLED WITH LOVE. I LOVE SONG YIREN SHE IS SO CUTE TOGETHER WITH SIMON! I'm—
I would love to see them again in another project. Simon's transition of character, I love it. He isn't expressionless, he's not monotonous. They look so comfortable with each other I SHIP SO MUCH *sigh* I love how everything is delivered well that I can feel the closeness btwn the main characters. Male characters in dramas ususally act cold & sometimes it makes me, as a viewer doesn't feel their chemistry on screen. But this one, my heart sometimes leapt lol I anticipated their scenes together in every episode.
I will definitely re-watch it (with a fast forward button, of course). I don't think my heart can take it, the fact Simon will be in another project with others because, Lu WeiXun & He BuZui are one of the best on screen couple!

It is a warm story. Not your typical triangle love
The story is quite warm and new. The male lead Simon Gong fits the character perfectly. Don't know why the female lead Ireine Song is getting so much hate but loved her role in the drama. The bubbly and cute nature of the character is displayed perfectly. The supporting female lead played by Serina Huang will give you the perfect irritation as what the chracter requires. Her character is quite stubborn and childish and was portrayed by her pretty well. Recommending this drama for those who want a warm and cute story. The plot is amazing and in some parts encouraging . The love portrayed is quite natural. The story is new and refreshing so gave it an 8. The casting is pretty good but could be better so gave it an 8. I did not find the music quite up to the mark so couldn't give it a higher score. Personally wouldn't rewatch it tho it is good for one time viewing. Was this review helpful to you?

Started with a bang, ended with a fizzle, as they say...
It's 25 episodes long, but so much happened in the first few episodes. It started really well but seemed like they were blowing through the plot too fast. Everything in the plot summary seemed to happen in the first 5 or so episodes, and the series kind of fell apart.~SPOILERS~
The whole taste exchange thing didn't make much sense because they never really investigated or explained it. Maybe I wasn't paying much attention to it, but I didn't understand why it was his taste. Was it just because he was her first kiss? Because he had perfect taste? Not sure. I chalked it up to "drama logic" and ignored it.
The murder plot was just too random and boring for me to care much about it. I knew the "villain" the first time he met the FL because he was acting too suspicious. No wonder he got caught. The last five episodes were murder-plot-heavy and just bogged down the whole series.
The reason I gave this such a high rating was because of the acting and the romance part of the drama. The acting was nice and the leads had enough chemistry to make an unbelievable plot slightly more believable.

There's enough shady topic to be explore in the early episodes, but somehow I feel those topics not too powerful and they failed to attract me, at least until the 4th episode. After that, I feel can't get enough for this drama (^_^)
At first the drama is always focused on how Wei Xun want his taste back with an arrogant manner, but then the story move slightly to the environmental and the peoples around Wei Xun and Buzui. Clue by clue arise with a smooth move which didn't leave the focus on main story.
This is out of the topic, but I think the director or the screen writer of this drama is one of Ghibli Studio's fans, because I found that He Buzui have a Totoro pajama and Xia Fan have a Kaonashi tattoo (^o^)
I love the scene when Buzui learn to taste the wine with Wei Xun. I think they already have the feeling for each other start from that moment (^_^) Wei Xun's effort to confess his feeling is a little bit similar with Wei Yi's on PYHOMS, it really makes me laugh (^o^)
I love this series because it's not only talk about drama and romance topic, but also suspense topic, which the portion is almost similar with the drama and romance. The conflict, the climax and the closure are packaged and delivered beautifully. It really intense for the last 2 episodes, and I love how the casts link to one and another.
The male and female lead seems lack of chemistry in the early episodes, but their chemistry feels better after Lu Wei Xun lost to Mu Chun Feng.
Ireine Song's acting is as cute as usual, she's so natural and attractive. As for the appearance, in my opinion she will be cuter if her hair is a little bit longer.
As for Simon Gong's, I think he's a little bit forced his acting to be an arrogant great sommelier, but when he is being an ordinary Lu Wei Xun, his acting is great.
The other casts doing pretty great too. I personally love Zhang Yu Qing, how she dressed up, how she talk and move. She's so cool! For the male support, I adore Dai Chao because he nailed played the semi-antagonist role.
I love all the music. The opening instrument really represent the wine itself (I think I'm being ridiculous :|), which sophisticated, elegant and flowing. Meanwhile the ending song represent the drama itself, which contain romance, tragedy and conspiracy.
P.S. I love most of He Buzui outfit, especially the Totoro pajama ♡ ~('▽^人)

Bland drama for a drama about flavour
unbelievably bland drama. such a shame because simon and the rest of the cast did a decent job. i liked ireine’s acting in Professional Single but it really lacked here. i find it so off putting that she always downturns her mouth for every expression she makes. she also tends to not be able to look the ML in the eyes half the time. in terms of the FL’s character, she was too hung up on the SML for too long. there was barely any time for her to build chemistry as an official couple with the ML before it ended. i don’t even know what exactly happened with the plot but i lost interest in like episode 3 but decided to push through in hopes to see some cute scenes between the leads and it wasn’t worth it. i don’t recommend this one, sadly. 3.5/10.Was this review helpful to you?
At first, the plot idea seemed ridiculous, but the personalities of the two main leads made it work. The mystery was good too, though the taste switching twist got messy and almost out of control. The romance was sweet, though and the leads had chemistry. The pace of the romance, however, was all over the place and almost ruined it. Thankfully, the couple had plenty of cute moments to cover up for it. The second lead's story was pretty interesting and he had a nice love story to boot. The performances were good too, but the leading lady looked way too young.
So, overall, six out of ten.

If you see people's comments about how they couldn't feel the chemistry between LWX & HBZ, then it's likely because they haven't reached the part where you start to see their chemistry developed which is around Ep 8. The real lovely dovey stuff doesn't happened until Ep 20 but you do catch glimpses of it from Ep 8-20. Same goes for the secondary couple because the couple scenes with them happens exactly the same time our leads make it official. But I can see why some people see it that way though. It's a very draggy and a messy plot. I almost dropped it after 4 episodes because it didn't seem like it was going anywhere. HBZ is too childish and irresponsible, LWX is a cold stone hearted guy with no care for anyone but himself, & YN is set on revenge because of his pride and misunderstandings. Do these characters get better? Yes but it takes such a long time that some people may not stick around for it.
Speaking of messy plot, it never made sense to me why HBZ lost her sense of taste in the first place. I wanna say it's become of her childhood trauma of what she witness but this drama didn't made that very clear. Same with LWX on exactly how he required his taste platter back and when too. That wasn't clear as well. Then comes the issue of YBD story. I mean didn't HBZ liked him back then? Why would she brushed her crush that easily after she found out he actually died? It made it seem liked he didn't matter to her after all. I think this part of the plot was handled in a cruel way. While the misunderstanding between HBZ and YL did cleared it up, it seemed like that was the main focus of this drama, solving what really happened to YN's dad and all of the sudden the plot lost the focus of the claiming the taste palette again for LWX.
Not a great plot in my opinion but the chemistry, while very slow, it does warm your heart in the scenes for our main leads and secondary leads. You can't help but just be happy for them. A decent and happy ending overall but nothing really special about this drama that would make it stand out.

this is really was so refreshing drama it makes u feel happy while watching ... don't know y
it's that kind of light stories
i found (dai chao ) a brilliant actor in acting both good/villain characters
and for the first time i loved a villain character ^_^
THE NEGATIVE POINTS FOR ME WERE :
the too much informations about wine which made the drama sometimes boring and there were no need for it
they could say only the imp. info and reduce the no. of eps.
sometimes i felt the events were disarranged
and towards the end the events were too rush
also till the end the 1st ML didn't solve his prob. with his father in my opinion .. it was mysterious really
also i found it illogical at all that an experience for years at wine tasting and learning can be compared to a girl who just learned about wine in a few weeks
i found the character of (wan zeze) was too late to appear
cause they just knew him for a few days not for long to trust each other like that
and the reason that made (yi nan ke) didn't kill (wan ran) was illogical
cause (mi ya) was the reason for his change
although it was 25 eps but at many eps it was draggy and boring and the last eps were too rush
i was fond more for the other two main lead's story (mi ya & yi nan ke )
i liked them so much
but in general it was nice fluffy drama

From the Wineyard.
This is the first time I watched a drama just for the characters alone. They were all unique!I have to say, both the leads were amazing. The drama is seemingly normal, but their acting was really good and convincing, especially certain emotional scenes. And their chemistry? Awesome!
Heck, even the dark guy and Mi Ya stood out. I fast forwarded a lot of scenes, but stuck for them.
I didn't care much for the plot, since I have zero knowledge about wine. But, the term "sommelier" was something new that I learnt. Also, I wonder how much research everyone went through before writing the script cause they have a lot of descriptions about the types of wine and their histories.
Overall, another watch and forget drama. But, certainly worth it just for the characters!

This is a nice drama. Although the leading couple has a good rapport, their romantic scenes did not flow as natural as the rest of their relationship interactions. The second leading couple, Yi Nan Ke and Mi Ya, showed better chemistry on their romantic scenes that the leading couple. Simon Gong, as Lu Wei Xun, and Dai Chao, as Yi Nan Ke/ Yi Bei Dao showed great character development. As for the leading actress, even though she did well, her character and demeanor was too childish for the development of the story. As a viewer, taking in consideration the plot for this drama, it is missing romantic chemistry among the leading couple. Still, the drama has a revenge storyline, a bit of mystery, and a fluffy romance that offers enough entertainment. Enjoy it! Was this review helpful to you?
