Both male leads are reluctant to fall in love with the second male lead. Both face obstacles. Both have open (happy) endings. I enjoyed both films and I definitely would recommend both!

The story in both movies is catered to an adult audience or older teens because it contains adult men who has adult like responsabilities and mature themes. The main characters in both movies are very flawed individuals, which makes continues mistakes because of their insecurities.

The themes of both films are similar in terms of dysfunction, acting style, cinematography, closted homosexuality, and infidelity.
