"Prom Pissawat" was one of the most expected romantic lakhorns for me in 2020,mostly because we could finally watch Boom Piyaphun and Pimmy Pimprapa reunite on-screen as main-leads 4 years after their hit drama "Karn La Krang Neung…Nai Hua Jai" where every watcher loved their on-screen chemistry. We all love some old fashioned slap-kiss drama where every impossible crazy things happens in the name of love and hate, and we always seems to enjoy it.This drama started out quite cringy and hasty in the first episode, but it worked much later on with the story-line and developement. But after 10 episodes it started to take another turn towards a path in which have been used so many times that it became boring and frustrating for me.This drama would have been so much better if it only ended after 10 episodes.

Papol played by Boom is a rich guy who have lived with trying to win the affection of his father, but only got rejection and neglect. In his mind the new wife of his fathers is a intruder to the perfect happy family he always dreamed of,and therefore he hates her with all his being and looks down on where she came from.So in this story he meets the very passionate Pantawan and gets drawn to her bright nature while also despising the attraction he feels for her.Pantawan is a hardworking young woman who has to sing and dance in nightclubs to get great pay for her foster mothers gambling debts. She despise Papol on sight for his cruel behaviour and injustice view of her life. But Papol never expected her to be the mysterious owner of the beautiful voice he wants to represent to his new music company-and both find themselves working together. Both characters shares the pain of feeling abandoned, and finds themselves falling in love.Papol did everything for Pantawan to love him when she didn`t love him.It was a courtship and chase i loved to watch. But after their marriage in ep 10 a despicable twist happens, and i literally wanted to claw his eyes out.Papol is a main-hero who have a heart he doesn`t understand, eyes in which he does not see and ears in which he don´t hear. But you find yourself cry your heart out, getting angry so hard you want to hurl your computer across the room...but sigh for what the power of love can accomplish.Papol and Pantawan are characters that only can fall in love once, but its a kind of love that stays for always.

I found myself having second lead syndrome for Non played by Great Sapol,he had such a great character and was the greatest friend Pantawan could have had.Loved how he stood up for her!The younger sister Pat is a character i can`t stand.I still haven`t forgiven her for what she did to Pan early in the story because of her unlogical jealousy.I couldn`t relate to Pantawan`s real mother, she did so many things i found so unloyal and humiliating,i never cared about any of her "pain" or "regrets".I absolutely love the first 10 episodes..they were exciting, cute, sexy and romantic in so many ways..but it just kinda fell down from there for me.I do hope Boom and Pimmy co-star again, since their chemistry is truly exceptional and shattering, loved how they could look deep into each other eyes.!

Train Wreck

I watch this based on a review on this website, I believe it was an article about Lakorn’s to watch. It started out with some promise, even though the arrogance of the main lead was almost more than I could handle. I figured once he fell in love with the female lead that he would get his comeuppance. No. He was in sufferable the whole 16 episodes of the drama. His immaturity, arrogance, pouting, forcefulness....I really can’t understand why the female lead “fell in love” with him. Maybe it was the dimples. I will give him that. The redemption that we were supposed to feel as character development didn’t come until basically the last episode. And even then it wasn’t believable to me. And the female lead became just as insufferable as him halfway through the series. I think it had some good potential as a story, that’s why I rated the story itself as a higher. But between the punching, slapping, women fighting, men grabbing wrists, forced sex, it was probably the most cliché and bad representation of a Lakorn that I have ever seen.

Strong acting, soundtrack, visuals; an emotional drama revolving around family

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought! I had already been spoiled a little bit about what happens in the lakorn, so I didn't think I would be THAT invested in the show, but I still found myself getting sucked into the lakorn and really paying attention to all the dramas and plots. I attribute that to the great acting from everyone, especially from the leads Boom (who plays Pol) and Pim (who plays Pan). They have great chemistry and their scenes--the romantic ones as well as the quarreling ones--pull you in like a vortex. You can't help but watch them.
Boom is amazing as Pol, able to switch easily between angry and jealous to pitiful and sad. The way Boom is able to look so much like a child in the scenes with the father is incredible. I felt so sad and bad for Pol during those times.
Pim as Pan blows me away, especially during the painful angsty scenes. The way her voice trembles, her expression cracks as she's crying; I cried so much with her because I see and hear her pain so much. I also loved her as cold-hearted Pan who refuses to given in to Pol. She's got a glare that could kill! I'm so glad that, though she was soft at times where I wanted her to slap the mean people, she was tough at the end especially toward Pol (who deserved it.)

With every slap kiss lakorn, you get your typical character and plots, such as a conniving mother, a conniving female antagonist, an evil male antagonist, male side characters who are in love with the FL. There are some handling of characters that I thought was questionable (or too one-dimensional) or was too easily resolved, but that was to be expected for this genre of slap kiss.
What did surprise me, though, (and seemed progressive), was the brief parts about what makes a good healthy family versus a toxic family. I was glad to see that the lakorn recognizes how unhappy and quarreling parents can really affect their children and showed Pan as a strong-willed woman who saw things clearly and knew what she needed. It annoyed me that almost everyone around her kept trying to convince her to give in, but she didn't.
I also appreciated how the show didn't drag the part where he found out the truth and became bad toward her and she tolerated it. I thought that was going to go on for many episodes, but it happened and while Pol was bad, Pan resisted and talked back. I'm so glad that the bulk of the first half of the series was really building their love before all the angsty stuff happened for 3-4 episodes, and then the last couple of episodes was the repairing of the relationship.

The soundtrack is pretty good, but I was especially moved by the solemn and intense instrumentals (or the acapella tracks) during the angsty said scenes. It really elevated the scene and made it incredibly emotional.

Anyway, I'm so glad to see Boom and Pim in this drama as main leads, especially after "Karn La Krang Neung…Nai Hua Jai" where they had such good scenes. I really hope they have more lakorns in the future.

The Villain Won

God where to start....
I usually don't write reviews, but I need to rage. This made me what to scream my head off!

I thought I was going to go insane before I even finished the story and only finished it out of spite. The entire show is essentially everyone abusing the female lead, Pan, and taking her for granted. The first part where the two leads hated each other was bearable, but after they got married is really when my blood started to boil. Pol was her abuser there is no other way to say it. He is a criminal just as much as the villains. I don't even want to mention what happened after the time skip. Everyone literally gaslighted Pan into getting back with her abuser. Even the kid annoyed me. I don't think I had a single character I liked. I also don't know how Pan managed to stay sane. Anyways this is not a love story it's horror and the monsters won.

Stressful but its what makes it enjoyable!!!!

This is one of my favorite dramas already, Boom and Pimmy are really cute and adorable together . All of the characters did great, as for the second lead couple I find Tam and Nit good together when they are fighting.

Now about the story so because this is a Lakorn the slap &kiss, forced kiss and slaps are never missing, in which some don't like it some really like it, depends on our own definition and views. This drama if I could define it in one word its STRESSFUL hahaha there are misunderstandings, jealously, break up, SLAPS are flying everywhere hahaha and a lot more in which some drop this because its a too heavy drama for them BUT if you are a LAKORN FAN just like me I'm used to this kind of story plots already and find it really enjoying and interesting and could hold on until the end..._

The OST's that was used here I really really love them after I finished the drama I went to look for it and download it immediately, I specially love the song in which Boom and Pimmy sang it both together, I'm addicted with it..

If you haven't watched this I recommend that you give it a try and see...

i really tried man

I truly tried my best to finish this damn drama but I couldn't. I got to the start of episode 16 and the moment the the ML touched Tawan on the head I really exited out real quick. I cant stand the male lead at all. I had hopes for him and he really crushed them all. There was redemption for literally everyone except for him. I honestly feel no pity for him at all. At the start of the drama he gave me butterflies and now he's left me with tapeworms.

In conclusion I challenge you to watch this drama with no skipping /fast forwarding till the end. Also #justicefornon man was really the only reasonable love interest the whole series.

The most bad ending for series plot, just to forgives bad behavior man so easily!!

almost watching many hundred of lakorn, but this lakorn is very irritating. this lakorn has ending that teach everyone to forgive easily despite 15 episode total is fulled by bad behavior husband, and the end is forgiveness for him. poor for the women that was treated badly from start until ending. but there is no turning point or acceptable "karma" for the man! forgive easy just for "son" consideration. this series echoing bad behavior of husband that can be forgiven by "son" existences. nothing punishment that "seem proper" for rhe husband!

rape is not romance.

Rape by a significant other is just as criminal as a stranger, and in this case an extra helping of trauma was heaped on in the form of domestic abuse. But, in the end and seven years later, friends and family handed the victim (female lead) and her innocent young son over to her unrepentant male lead abuser, during a parental kidnapping. While the male lead and his toadies escape their karma. The abusive male lead with a 7 year time skip disappearance. The violent second female lead-mistress with a plane ticket complete with tearful airport goodbye scene with the other second male lead. And vicious mother-in-law, who died less-than heroically after trying to murder her grandson by proxy (abusing his pregnant mom). And I thought, it was 2020. Rape is not romance, and doesn't belong in the romance genre. Avoid.

Not my favorite from Boom's and Pim's.

Storyline wasn't bad.... it wasn't great either IMO. I felt like it was lead astray. For me, I thought this drama was supposed to be about her starting up in the music industry as a singer. Not so much story there. It kind of happened in the beginning and then she fell in love. I wish the drama delved more onto her career and then have her fall in love.

Male lead was sweet at times but was a REAL A**HOLE the whole time until the end. For me, just because you love the Female lead doesn't mean you can treat her like sh*t and think that it is something forgivable and she will forget. This drama had me having second male lead syndrome just because of how much I hated the main male lead.

I do have to give all of the actors and actresses a hand of applause because their acting, ESPECIALLY Pim's, was great.

I didn't want finish this drama just because as i stated before, the drama got unorganized and lead astray that i felt it wasn't worth finishing. But bc I love Pim and Boom's reunion from their other drama "Once Upon a Time...", I decided to just finish. Did I feel like I wasted some time... just a little. Do I regret starting this drama.....ehhhh just because it's a drama with Pim and Boom.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!

This lakhorn has both goods and bad, although the bad kinda outweighs the good. For one, the acting and music were top notch for sure. Even though the plot was weak and illogical, the actors and actresses really did a GREAT job. There was a good amount of character development, especially with Pat and her mother Jan.
For the first 8 or 9 episodes of this lakhorn I was so enthused and all into the show. I couldn't do anything else as I anxiously waited for the episode I am watching to finish so I can see what happens next. And then it all went downhill from there.
For the next 7 - 8 episodes I literally skipped through most of it. After Pol and Pan got together I was so happy that they finally admitted their feelings and could go on with their lives. But then he learns about THE SECRET and he suddenly does a COMPLETE 360, like within 10 minutes. He was supposed to love Pan but now he hates her because of one minor thing. He is willing to hurt her just to get revenge on someone else. Now Pol learns his mistake but regrettably it is too late and Pan leaves for a few years. But now she has turned into who he was. She's willing to her Pol even though she ends up hurting Tawan just the same. She lies and does everything to keep them apart, even thought Tawan has formed a bond with Pan. She's turned into an angry, stubborn and selfish woman all in the need to hurt Pol...even when it is hurting Tawan.
Logically, a mother who loves her child will do anything to make her child happy. As long as it doesn't hurt them in the end that is. But Pan is so blinded by her hatred for Pol that she can't do that. She continuously lies to her son knowing full well with the situation that as it is, everything is going to come to light one day. There are too many persons who know the truth for it to remain a secret forever. And she also takes out her anger for Pol on Tawan which happens several times in the drama. When the child grows older he will eventually figure out the truth for himself no matter how much she tries to hide it. Pol is doing the exact same thing to Tawan that Pol's mother did to him.
And then there's Pol. He is so immature and naïve and blinded by the love he has for his mother that he can't see her for the cruel and deceptive psychopath she is. Which person in their right mind would move their significant other into the same house as his mother knowing full well that the mother hates the other???? I mean seriously!!!! He knew his mother hated Pan but he expects them to live happily in the same house??? That is down right stupidity right there.
Logically there were so many things wrong in this lakhorn. Which idiot gives a 5 year old a whole pack of sweets saying that it's ok as long as he brushes his teeth or leaves said 5 year old outside on the side of the road while you go to buy something in the store?????? Seriously!!!!! I spent so much time cursing and hissing my teeth at the laptop screen. All in all this lakhorn is watchable for the most part. Just expect a lot of frustration when doing so.

All I can say is... HAHAHAHAHA.

Can we all agree that Pimmy's acting was probably the best thing about this show? And if you don't agree then let's agree to disagree or whatever. Like this time, she held her own, she knew not to give in, she knew when it call it quits, she knew how to be her own strong independent woman, all she did was get hurt and picked herself back up, like okay girl, we stan. Let's be real, if you watch a lot of lakorns, then this is nothing new to you. The story is what it is, both main leads have their own abandonment issues, the male lead needs to grow up, the female lead is a bad ass bitch and then she lets you down by becoming a weak ass bitch and there's nothing new to that shit. The first 10 episodes were great when the two got along but it was also annoying because everyone else was hateful then the script flipped a betch. Boom and Pimmy have fantastic chemistry and I wish they could've just let them be HAPPY but let's be real lmao this is a slap and kiss lakorn and it's best to just expect the worst. It has everything from SLS, hateful family members, gambling addictions, r*ape (ugh), kidnapping, random gangsters wanting to kill or do that crazy stuff, ugh. Lol. The usual. And nothing is different about this, the two are cute and wonderful but it goes down hill at ep 10 and the writers just got bored. If you watch shows like this, you honestly can't even get mad anymore lol if you're gonna be mad, be mad at yourself for even watching this!!! LMAO. Like yes, their scenes were cute and all that but the DRAMA, omg. The main thing you'll hear is "I feel bad for Parn" and god seriously, the pity I have for the girl and even though Pol was trying to do better; he's ass, you did this you punk; because you're CHILDISH. "I just want my mommy and daddy to love me :(((" shut up -_- lol

The acting was A-1 though, can't even hate, Boom played a good bad guy, even though you don't want that and Pimmy played a bad ass bitch turned weak bitch like I said but people got better, like her sister and the best friend and etc. Lol. I'm glad everyone else didn't last because I was just getting mad. It got over the top.

Music was nice, I kinda like that they were both musically inclined. lol.

Overall, definitely wouldn't rewatch it, I'm surprised I even watched it but it's nice to say I got it off my list and also the fact that I waited a whole year just to watch this mess of a show. Lol. It was good, dramatic, over the top, I don't regret watching it but it wasn't anything different than average slap and kisses; except that Boom and Pim have of course; wonderful chemistry again. Also Great and Ching were good aspects too if you want me to be honest. They meet, fall in love quick, fall out of love quick, have hateful family members, someone always got a gambling problem, dude tosses around money like it's nothing and the girl works hard; it was just annoying because they both agreed they can relate and have gone through a lot but honestly, the male lead was just mad at everyone because he wanted a stupid hug from his daddy like gag, grow up, you're a grown ass man. Lmao. Eventually, you gotta stop expecting those things and live your life, but nooo, he just wanted a hug from daddy, boohoo. Lame-o. Lmao. At least the last 2 eps... Alright, review or rant is over I suppose. It wasn't terrible, some people may actually love it, some people may drop it and hate it.

Prom Pisawat

I want to first give thanks to Neko...i watched this drama in english subtitles on her page nekomeowmeow.com...i really appreciate your work Neko...I really enjoyed the drama...the acting was really good...the first few episodes had scenes that made me laugh out loud...on the other hand, i believe when they started dating, there was no reason for them to commit fornication...they could have just waited till after marriage to get intimate..also i don't think the lead actor's reason to mistreat his wife was that solid...besides that everything else was really good...the lead actress acted great
