True Beauty (2020)

Both are high school romcoms with an unconventional feel and good cinematography. Both feature love triangles with a quirky female lead.

I haven’t watched True Ending yet but just from watching the trailer, I realized they were kinda similar. The concept is a high school girl that upset about her looks, so they get a makeover.

Pontifex Rembrary, a character known for his divine powers, gets transported to a new world while fighting a devil. He possesses the body of Woo Yeon Woo, a member of an unpopular idol group, and helps turn the group's fortunes around after a disastrous live performance. With his charisma and divine powers, he becomes popular among fans but faces challenges from his past, contending with strange religious groups and the devil.

It is very similar and has a similar plot. I think if you enjoyed either you should watch the other.

the plot surrounding the main leads is almost identical. The love triangle, the high production quality, the excellent actors are all similarities as well.

Both were webtoons first. Both have bright cinematography and are light hearted

Both are funny and have romance. True Beauty is more focused on romance though.

Both have elements of high school, although True Beauty is set in a high school whereas it's a side plot in Backstreet Rookie

The ML in Backstreet Rookie is much nicer to the FL than the ML in True Beauty is to the FL.

Not an ugly turn beauty but beauty turn boyish. Handsome guy? Comedy? School life u dream of? This is what u looking for. Everybody acting is on point, comedy on point. A start of remake to many country

Both female leads have self esteem issues and skin problems on their faces. Both male leads are handsome and fall for the FLs despite their appearances.

Both are romance dramas set in high school.

Both are idol dramas and webtoon adaptations of school dramas portrayed in a light-hearted way. In addition, both have actress, Kang Mi Ah, in it and you can see her range in acting as well as her being #1 best girl :')

I don't really know how to describe it other than same vibe/aesthetic. Like there's a similar colour palette. Beautiful cast, funny moments a love triangle.

Both of the main girls are into makeup and pursue it as a career choice. The two male leads in both of the dramas are friends and end up liking the same girl.
