Marriage is a hardwork
I want to get my point across that the story of this drama it's not much of fiction, bits of it seems like researched well and done under the professional point of view for each decision from the character. I have a feeling that systematically, this drama tells very well. The drama's tone spiralling down under anger and sadness. Prepare yourself for the roller coaster! You'll hate a character, you'll also don't even know whether you are going to defend them or not. Emotionally wrecking.
The World of the Married is a reflection about marriage. To have this drama sure does a good chance for enlightening couples upon the responsibility of the adult life that will hurt us but also will be the major life-changing game for many. The message is really clear that you shouldn't cheat for the very place. But this drama exceptionally execute the 'why' down to audience's mind.

This is a total heavy drama from start to finish. I thought the last episode will have a happy ending, almost at the ending of the last episode, there is still suspense / sad scenes. I really don't know if it is really a happy ending on the end, even I was a little sad on the ending, but I like it, cause it not the typical happy ending they always give.I was hopeful for the main character. First I thought her relationship with her son did improved, but instead he ran away for a year, and that also was not clear what he did on a year. Second, I was hopeful she will have another man in her life, but because of her excess baggage, meaning her past. Also I was really looking forward to the story of the other couple (sorry I suck at names, but you know whom I am pertaining to), when you expect that they will be happy on the ending but not, and sometimes it really do happens in reality, really heartbroken about it I thought they will add a story that will have a happy outcome, but suddenly, they shattered that hope.
I think this drama is not for all. It may trigger emotions/speculations especially of you have a partner so watch at your own risk. Watch it with an open mind and that it is a fictional story. The story contains a LOT of revenge, anger and betrayal.
Really great acting on all of them, you will be really be angry on some of the characters. Surprised on how well the child actors acted, cause it is really intense drama.

Slow paced, realistic but too dark and sad
People will never get married if they see this drama. I had high hopes from his one but this was too much. Drama is realistic for most part (excluding few incidences) but it is very slow paced and portrayed in a very negative manner. All people are either divorced, having trouble with their other half or single. Here friends are also not loyal with each other. Complete madness.Plus point is acting, All actors have done a great job. So if you enjoy good acting and if you are an adult ready for makjang then give it a try.

The first six episodes was great but following the sixth episode, things kind of went downhill for me. The episodes became overbearing to watch, there was just SO much drama and I didn't like how they developed Ji Sun-woo's character. Each episode you have to mentally brace yourself for everything that goes down.
However, this was extremely entertaining, I just wish it was shorter as I felt that many of the plot-twists following the sixth episode was added purely for the sake to add them and not to impact the story.

Intense show, but worth a watch
The plot is nothing new to westerners because we see stuff like this all the time on T.V. But the way the story was executed made all the difference. Each episode is filled with the perfect amount of suspense and intrigue to keep you wondering what happens next. Trust me when I say that this is not a show to be binge-watched. Waiting every week to see how things play out is good way to approach a show like this. The facial expressions and how the characters behave around each other is something to pay attention to because it makes the show more intense. I didn't watch the remake of this so I came in knowing nothing and I'm glad for that. It's really intense, but I LOVE it.Was this review helpful to you?
The first one is how consistently good and captivating it was throughout the whole drama. Each episode is a rollercoaster of emotions, each episode will keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. It doesn't give you only one major piece of the story per episode or only one cliffhanger. No each episode is the gift that keeps on giving to the point sometimes you wonder when you will have time to digest all that is giving to you.
The second one is how realistic the drama is. It's about cheating but not just for the sake of character development not. It's about cheating and how couples can destroy each other over it, it's about being cheated on and figuring out how to heal and move on from it. The show also doesn't sugar coat the still too present misogyny, the lack of support between women, the hardships of being in an abusive relationship and much more.
Last but definitely not least, is Kim Hee Ae. While the whole cast is commendable for their fantastic performances, Kim Hee Ae absolutely slayed as Sun Woo, the working mom trying to do everything at the same to provide for her son. Each of her key scenes were so powerful and raw it makes you wonder if she has ever been in such a situation (I hope not).
There are many more reasons to watch this drama but if I were to enumerate them I would probably spoil you so my best advice is just to go for it and enjoy the rollercoaster of emotions waiting for you.
Warning: The World of the Married is a drama targeting mature audiences and comes with a trigger warning for violence, abuse and sex.

The actors did an absolute amazing job with their performances and I won't be able to look at them the same because of it. The music matched perfectly with the drama and set the mood/ setting as music should.
The ending is not what I expected it to be but it was as realistic as a drama ending could be. So even though I was a bit disappointed, it was still ok. I would totally recommend this drama for those into a more mature story-line.

This is a thriller/drama/revenge drama. The FL is headstrong and we get to root for her through this journey of "do we trust them or not?" This is gonna make your blood boil but in a good way.
Everyone is itching to see what might happen next so I suggest you watch this now because you might be spoiled later on when things get messier!! It'll ruin the fun!! In any which way, then do not read comments or watch videos about this drama, just binge it.
EDIT: finished it!! AHHHH

A Hard Pill To Swallow
This drama was very captivating and heartbreaking to watch. Overall I felt drawn to the story and the emotions of the main characters. The psychological beating of the female lead while going through the turmoil of a divorce is what makes this emotionally exhausting at times. I found myself thinking that the other characters hypocrisy especially frustrating during theses scenes. The people around the FL were two-faced, backstabbing, and unsympathetic. Which made this drama one of the hardest things to watch. Everyone thought that their behavior was justified and at times made the FL out to be the crazy person. This dynamic made the drama heavy and overly tiring. At times the FL was exhausting as well as she would often cause her own grief. This drama was a ball of anxiety and pain that could've gone much better had one simply just carefully thought about themselves and what their happiness meant to them. Which I think was the whole point of this drama; to find happiness in the things we have, let go of the things we need to and to cherish what is important to us. I Loved that concept but this drama was draining. It's not something that I would be willing to re-watch but I would recommend this to people that would like to watch something thought provoking and for those who fully understand the severity and harm of a toxic relationship. This is not for those that glorify and commend such behaviors. Was this review helpful to you?
Where to start, this series is a lot to take in and I can see why its currently the highest-rated drama in Korean television history. The story focuses on the life of a married couple going through their relationship, divorce, and the aftermath of that divorce. One thing I truly yielded to was the look of how the Korean society not only viewed marriage but also divorce between a man and a woman and how two individuals going through the same thing can be treated differently. This is the first storyline I've watched that goes through a divorce and they did a wonderful job making it.
First off, character development. I loved the inability of every single character to be predicted during this whole viewing period. As I watched the characters grow it often felt like they would make progress and then be brought way further back in terms of the quality of their decisions. Ji Sun Woo (Kim Hee-A) did an amazing job of bringing this character to life as well as captivating me into her story. One thing I really value is every facial expression in your performance and not once did I catch her slip in any way. the perspective she took and the way she reacted to everything going on around her, it wasn't just the script but what she added to it, and her addition made every scene worthwhile. As well as Park Hae Joon and Han Soo Hee who made every effort to depict characters to hate but also emphasize with, it shows a great deal of talent for both performers.
Overall I would say it does live up to its hype, the plot twists are able to really boost your imagination as well as your respiratory system. A big hand to the production team as well as the actors and the screenwriter. The end will leave you as a serious conspiracy theorist, it was expected but very detailed and it showed a lot of professionalism and experience In the industry. if you like good content WATCH IT!!!!
