similar ancient investigation/ detective costume drama. the two main leads remind me of each other. one is a detective/corner type and the other is more soldier than detective. their roles are switched from maiden holmes to the detective.

I watched Maiden Holmes before Love in the Moonlight, and I am very surprised at how many similarities there are in the plot. Some plot points are carried out in the exact same or very similar ways. Same gender bender and female lead with a dark past falls in love with prince male lead.

Similarities:
- Strong & Smart ML (great fighting scenes) + FL is quite skilled and not annoying
- ML is a prince and both had some problems with their eyes
- The leads have good chemistry + help each other throughout the journey
- Good storyline that makes sense
- Have some investigation…Righting the wrong of FL’s family
- ML & FL met when they were young and saved him/her from danger

Diff:
- MH has more cases and investigation elements
- FL in MH has more martial art + investigation skills vs FL in TLFTC can protect herself + good medical skills

The romance is somewhat similar. The plot to (hidden identity). Main lead is a bit of a playboy. But it also had everything I missed in this one.

Both have a nice team work among the heroes
Both have a common member as vilain
Both have a very supportive and brave female lead
If you enjoyed the quest mission in The Eight ,you will like Maiden Holmes

Both Female leads have this sixth sense that helps them solve crimes. However, it's more prominent in "Girl who sees smells".
Both plots involve a lot of drama as the gang solves cases including solving their parents case.

Similarities :

- Female Lead is a detective.
- They team up to solve cases.
-Enemies to lovers.
- Tragedy during childhood (Maiden Holmes : Female Lead);(Melody of Golden Age : Male Lead).
- Fake marriage.

I really like both dramas. TKIAR is super light drama and gets to the point, in both drama both FL and ML can fight. They both work really well together and the romance builds up pretty quick. What i like it how they dont focus on only the romance. The drama and situation everything is what brings them together and shows off their chem which leads to some cute scences. I love TKIAR i like how they didnt do a gap into the drama and they actually fought and got to what they really wanted instead of dragging the drama, Love the fighting scenes. Really well done

The love between the leads reminds me of the gentle and kind love that show between the main leads in Maiden Holmes.

Both are a blend of romance and mystery genres that lean more toward the mystery aspect at first but have a sweet and enjoyable couple who solve crimes together.

Both dramas are fluffy love stories involving a ML that is pretending to be a playboy while secretly quite serious. FL is competent and knows martial arts and is investigating who was responsible for death of family members in the past. Both dramas also have secondary couples.

Both ml saved the respective fl (though under different circumstances) while they were young.
Smart capable FLs involved in investigation with the MLs.

The overall feel of General’s Lady is similar to Maiden Holmes. If you like the fluffy romance with some interesting sub plots like General’s lady had, then you’ll love Maiden Holmes as well. In Maiden Holmes we have the ML whos smitten with the female lead and swears to protect her and that’s very similar to General’s Lady.
