Always on the run
Okay the thing with dramas involving time travel have so many plot holes. So does this one. Regarding people of present and future co existing together, and also the events that follow, the changes that newly take place etc; there are so many questionable factors. Nevertheless not a bad drama. U just shouldn't think too much or things won'tmake sense. Also, I personally dislike dramas where the leads are always on the run. So I couldn't give this more than 7 rating. Same with l.u.c.a
One more thing, I hate how this site asks me to write reviews with atleast 500 characters of length. Just accept my review ffs

Yeah, let's not.
I physically and mentally can not bring myself to finish this shit show.I tried. I really tired. From the synopsis to the start of the show, I was hooked. Even with the ridiculous CGI, it was amazing. But as it went on -- the show just got worse and worse to the point it was like dragging my eyeballs across sand and broken glass. I would try multiple times to start a episode and end up cutting it off 5 minutes in (if even that)
Even then, I tried to give this show the benefit, I still tried to watch and I started noticing a pattern (mind you, i tried watching this as soon as it was airing) that any and every time views dipped, they would drop something BTS related and views would rocket again. So believe it or not, they really did use BTS and their fans for their own gain for a shitty show.
I honestly feel like this show would have tanked from the start if they hadn't seen the reaction that BTS poster gained.
-- and can we talk about that scene though?
Why would you use Spring Day? I'm disgusted they used a song for a tragedy in this show. (but the setting -- I don't care. Don't come at me. It's a show, fake. That tragedy was a real thing. And not only that, the actress didn't even know the song. I don't know what the hell she was humming/half-assed singing, but it wasn't what was playing. (Spring Day)
I'm sure to some, the show got bad ass after all the cringe, frankly, I guess I will never know. As much as I hate dropping shows, I just can't do this one. It makes me frustrated.

This Show is SciFi not scientific documentary realism
So, many people complaning about timetravelling or related to it. Is everyone here timetraveller? Since when was there ph.d degrees for time travelling? Then constant nitpicking minor sci fi scenes. Not a single science fiction show in history is scientifically realistic that why its called fiction. Nobody complains about how in star wars laser beams blowing up ships work. Because you were suppose to suspend disblief anything scientific related. This is Devils deal you make going in watching show with writer. In exchange, you get fun action scenes, amazing story, or realistic characters making hard descisions for situations. This is core you are suppose to criticize and analyze. It started ok. A redemption story of Han Tae Sul for his brother. They constantly showed flashbacks his brother taking care of him and fully financially supporting him. The regret and guilt for abandoning his brother. However, the writer all sudden gives up on the story and started pushing more romance scenes in ridiculous situations. Like, they go on trip to amusement park to have fun, when they are being chased by people who have cctv control, drones, etc. This is bad writing. You can't just give up on main plot to have fun and put yourself easy target to be captured. Also, how many times has he constantly gone back home and magically escaped from future time travellers and military trained soldiers with cctv and drone control? It became to ridiculous to watch, the writer gave up on main story, and repetitive scenario of them getting caught and magically escaping was boring.

Hard to rate
I thought a long time what to rate it. I actually wanted to rate it 7, but then I looked at other dramas I rated a 7 and thought this doesn't deserve that rating. There are just too many flaws. Such as:-The story has too many logical inconsitencies and makes no sense, neither time travel mechanics wise, nor characters and their motivations, nor various plot twists make sense when put together. It was clearly a story that focused on generating dramatic situations rather then being clever or well written.
-Dropped plot points that were never explained like the bald assasin from the future or why was the antagonist allowed to see the future since childhood, why did child ml know the future too etc.
-Too many over the top action scenes like FL falling down the stairway and shooting mid flight.
-Some of the ML McGyver's like shooting cola capable of knocking out soldiers (or killing them, not sure which) are implausbile too, starting from the very first airplane scene
-The antagonists are incompetent. Even considering their motives revealed in later episodes, they still do stupid shit they shouldn't have done like surrounding protagonists in a tight circle and aiming at them with guns (friendly fire guaranteed)
-The post apocalyptic future is radiocative so every time traveler is contained, but actually they don't suffer any consequence and look and live healthy. Also FL and her father walk in gas masks outside, but actually they don't need them and are fine without them too. guess the masks are just for fashion.
-The character of FL is annoying, childish, withholds information from ML for no reason and is quite dumb. Still she grew on me eventually, but she's not some cool FL like she could have been if she was written better. Also her saying to the other guy multiple times she didn't kill anyone when she killed at least several dozen people in the future is laughable.
-music was sometimes unfitting and weird
there are some good things tho, such as:
-very good color palette for most scenes, and very good direction and cinematography
-good acting from most people, esepcially from ml and the antagonist
-these two are also the most interesting characters
-the plot prioritizes drama over logic, but it does drama (and melodrama) well
also, this drama is different from many others in the sense that it starts bad and gets better in second half (and also more confusing). it took me several episodes to get invested in this story, but once I was I actually enjoyed watching it
so. I think 6.5 is a fair rating.

Great potential
The story had great potential and was very intriguing at times. The overall connection and ties that each character had with one another were some of the highlights in the show. That being said the first 10-14 episodes were very in-depth and detail-oriented almost warning to pay attention to every detail or you will miss something. This caused you to believe that the way that the villain will be stopped would be incredibly intricate and hard to follow. Unfortunately, the ending wasn't so. It was very clear that the way that the day would be saved was through the usage of a helping hand from the future and past. The emphasis placed on the villain just needing someone to check on him made it obvious that this was going to play a role in defeating him. And though the ending with Eddy and Han Tae-sul killing himself was shocking, it wasn't a good ending because it seemed rushed and unnecessary. It felt as though if he was going to kill himself to save the day he should have done it from the beginning. They wanted to push the agenda that it was his love for her that caused him in the end to sacrifice himself but it felt cliche and uncalled for.Edit: Let's talk about the ending. After he shoots himself he returns onto the plane from the beginning of the show which was 2020, and the FL is sitting right next to him. Now, unless it was a dream or hallucination, that makes no sense. the FL said she was born in 2012, making her 8 years old in 2020.
The overall show was pretty good but due to the ending, it is unfortunately turned into a decent show at best.

Engaging but over-plotted
Very slick production, great CGI which does NOT overwhelm either acting or plot (I find in a lot of western films it does both - it's a default for poor writing). Mostly, here, it was very unobtrusive, and used only where needed..Acting as always very impressive - the star prize going to Kim Byung Chul, who just EATS up the role of Sigma, and has some seconds, then dessert..
Well written up to a point ie, where a character is more than just a goon with a gun, they are reasonably well put together, within the frame of this drama..
However, the plot depends on multiple time slips and flashbacks - I gave up trying to follow it, because it made no sense at all and was just too confusing. It was never so confusing I wanted to give up, though, and that says something for the writing and all the rest. But I found it ridiculously over-plotted. It was as if they were spinning it out to 16 eps with too many unnecessary plot twists and flash backs. Including one final one which was completely too many..
Fights were excellent - and Park Shin Hye shone - but there were a few too many for me, and they became predictable and boring - even though very well done!.
And ... the romance. Well this was completely not required for any part of the plot which could have tota;;y managed without it. And I'm sorry to say I saw no chemistry between the characters or the actors. I like a nice snog, but these were pretty work-a-day..
Altogether, an engaging drama - I gave it a 7

Great Production
Many other reviews have mentioned how terrific the production was, how talented the actors were, and how erratic attention to science was throughout. I agree. I think the female lead was not particularly sparkling and, despite having survived and thrived in a horrible dystopian future, she often behaved like a spoiled teenager in interpersonal relationships.I have one major issue with Sisyphus - TOO MANY FLASHBACKS, MANY OF WHICH ARE STUPIFYINGLY LONG. Quite a few are unnecessary and/or boring. Otherwise, it's an above average series, and you can watch it without having to warm up your thinky bits much.

Good Enough
Korean Drama " Sisyphus: The Myth " is an innovative drama. The story is well crafted, starting slowly, and building up to become an intriguing sci fi thriller. The future dystopian 'flashbacks' were excellent and reminded me of a game or an American movie. The family drama was also a strong factor that added some teary moments and intense scenes. However, there were some parts that the drama fail to handle. The ending was okay, mysterious and made sense to be wage. But the plot started twisting things up, making everything confusing. The drama's last episodes had actually, lost intensity and had a slower pace.
Also, the drama didn't manage the villain well, as he lost his appeal after a while and fell flat. The romance was out of the blue and didn't make sense that the couple developed that strong of a bond in such a short period. However, the chemistry was overflowing.
The acting, finally, was great by everyone in the cast. The cinematography was masterful as well.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Warning : This pile of garbage will destroy your brain cells.
What in the world is this ? How can you bring two of the best actors of this generation and turn it into this mess of a drama ? Lazy writing at best, completely taking the audience for morons at worst. I rolled my eyes so many times my head started hurting and had to drop the drama. I strongly recommend a hard pass, you won’t regret it. unless you like being taken on a roller coaster of utter bullshit, that is. The amount of times I stared at my screen in disbelief at what I was seeing set a record. It’s like one bad scene into another, every time you think it can’t be worse BAM they relentlessly shower you with even more bs. Like when 20 ultra trained agents somehow sneak in a neighborhood in broad daylight, fire more than 1000 rounds and couldn’t get even one stray bullet to hit while the two leads were a mere 2 meters away. Or when she gets hit by a 7.62 cal sniper bullet and not only somehow gets away in the most far fetched fashion, but she also recovers instantly ?! Hahah Man that’s not just bad, it’s criminal and i’d press charges if I could. Was this review helpful to you?
Not even the great actors can save this show.
In a nutshell, it's like the director and the writer (mostly the writer) conspired to make sure there's a bad apple in CSW's basket of delicious acting fruits. Come on! Bad guys shooting around them in a blanket of thick smoke and NOT hitting each other in the process? Tens of bad guys seemingly waiting for their turn to be kicked by a girl? All those powerful guns but couldn't hit their targets? And let's not forget that refrigerator door. The first 2 episodes are ok at best but the will to carry on dropped as fast as irritation grew.Lesson missed: if any attempt at time travel is done again, at least show some basic logic. If the viewer ends up making their own interpretation or justification for each and every crucial event just to appease their confused brain cells, then they should get paid as co-writers. I don't mind scientific thinking: i do that for a living. It's just that this show failed sorely in being logical.
If only CSW can travel back in time and refuse this show.

Promising 1st episode!
Promising 1st episode giving me Tony Stark-In-Heroes-TV-Series-kinda vibe with that time travel I hope the viewers who left bad comments of The King can understand this drama. This ahjussi does not really do much dramas so probably he's new face for some, but then there's warrior-from-the-future Park Shin Hye who'll do all the saving (saw the stunts in teasers, I'm just wow)Love the plot, it's evident they really invested millions in this drama. Happy 10th year JTBC! Hahahaha
I'll probably update this post after watching a few more episodes since this started to air last night.
P.S. Wished they casted a more genius-cocky-oppa-vibe actor like Ju JiHoon, Park Seo Joon or Lee Min Ho but they prolly wanted a late-30s oppa they could go for Ha Jung Woo or Hyun Bin jk. Anyway, this ahjussi looks okay but I don't see the chemistry yet.
