I just love it<3
This is so amazing drama I swear, would highly recommend it to watch! The fact that it got my favourite actress Yi Hyun as the main character makes it a cherry on top. All the actors have done so well, the production, the music and the plot just makes it perfect! Most important that the way they display their cuisines makes me drool like anything and plus how Seo Young always studies makes me motivated. I'm glad I searched about it & watched the whole drama. Story could've been better
I think the storyline has potential, I have never seen a high-school theme Korean drama where the leads learn how to do carpentry in a technical high-school. However, the story itself is nothing new. The conflict between the male leads are similar to True Beauty. Also there has been too many stories about corrupt school officials.The storyline itself was a little boring but there were moments that were actually exciting. The ending is not great to be honest. I want to see all the evil characters get their own karma, but they did not show it enough. Maybe it's just me being too greedy, but as long as the leads are happy at the end..
The actors did a great job. I especially like the ML and FL quirky and "awkward to each other" acting. They suit each other well. I noticed Kim Yo-han's acting is actually so detailed I was surprised. In K-drama, actors usually have an off expressions on acting awkward, but Kim Yo-han actually carried that expressions really well.
To conclude, the drama story could've improve better, but I think it's a decent drama to watch if you crave high-school themed Korean drama.

It wasn't that bad
I gave a 2nd chance to this drama and I'm glad i did. First time was last year, i couldn't finish the 1st ep cause i thought it was too boring or simply i wasn't paying attention. But i was looking for a school romance, so i decided to watch it again.I've seen mixed reviews about this drama.
Personally i had good time watching it, the acting wasn't that bad as some people say, it was a good acting.
The story itself was nothing special, but i had good feelings watching it, it was chill and calm.

Training School Fairy Tale
While one can say this kind of fairy tale plot set in a carpentry training school is cheesy, foreseeable, full of cliche, moral philosophy, I might say, why not once in a while ? Aren't we all up to something like that once in a while when it's done well ?Yes, you have your usual loveable 'good' characters, coming with all kinds of family and friends, tragic issues from the past and presence, and you have your 'evil' company & school superiors. While in the end some of them switch sides to the 'good' ones, contributing to the happy ending, especially also for the main two couples.
So all in all this could be set in any era, still I really liked the calm evolution of the plot and the continuous revealing of the events in the past. The cast was all good, starting from the three main couples, the grandfather and family members. Especially I would like to see more form the two main couple actors/actresses being the main cast in a more grown up setting as of course they'll grow up ;-)
Soundtrack was subtle but memorable.
Special bonus from my side for the carpentry aspect. It could have been explored a bit more in detail, but it was descent enough. All kind of handicraft work deserves a better coverage and attention nowdays as it's often underpaid work.

it's a good drama overall but everyone's missing the point of it, + why there was lost potential
before i get into my review i need to explain why i think everyone's just completely missed the intention of the drama. it's not meant to be like previous KBS school series. it's not plot heavy and intense but that's the POINT. they don't want a crazy drama they just want a cute, simple one that highlights the characters, their interactions, and their personalities; hence why there are SO many common kdrama tropes in here. if you're watching this focusing on the plot you don't know what' really going on. i loved this show. it's right up my alley of trope-y dramas with the VERY basic second lead (which is never overdone because it really doesn't get old) and the whole best friend dead and blaming each other (this is not a spoiler. this will not change anything for you dw) and then the poor second fl who's mean who becomes nicer etc etc. i also love dramas abt school corruption lol it's just an interesting concept. again, this show was about the characters themselves and NOT the plot. the cast overall was good but i felt the girl who played jiwon needs some work but i still realyl liked it :D the entire cast is gorgeous and the school n all that all look very satisfying i liked the concept of nulji high alot. kijoon's grandpa was one of the best too :Dokay this part is going to include spoilers:
i feel like there was just soo much lost potential with this drama, if they focused a little more on the students rather than the teachers. like how jaehee wanted to make friends and did everything she could to show that she's not the bad person she used to be known for and that she's not for the corruption she benefits from. also the whole divorced teachers thing. it was an interesting concept but they didn't really finish it off well. also jiwon was extremely boring? this entire show i feel like kijoon youngjoo and seoyoung are the only leads with any sort of character development and a sort of "history" we know nothing abt jiwon. also her pouty personality definitely gets boring but it definitely gives me reason to not have wanted her to end up with youngjoo it wouldve been so awkward. i love the childhood friends to lovers concept but i think youngjoo and seoyoung's trope works even better. both with a traumatizing past of losing loved ones, he met her at seoyoungs orphanage and she fell in love immediately. its just so cute dude i like it and how they always got flustered in ep 15 i love them together sooo much they bounce off each other so well truly,

Tough Watch for Several Reasons
This may be a tough watch for some people. Why?- Great cast - overall - great casting - they found some solid actors/actresses.
- Characters - they could have been a little more polished. Storylines had rough transitions. Characters change of heart weren't handled well. Two main ones go from annoying and mean to better but, we don't know why and it takes so long to get through a sentence - you forget that they are nicer or, more relaxed.
- Pacing - watching paint dry is faster. I skipped two entire middle episodes because nothing was moving forward. Nothing - plot wise - was changing.
I will finish this with the fast forward button just so I can move on to something else.

The ups and downs of human relationships
School 2021 is shaping up to be the best in the School franchise. It's focused on human relationship, not just between students but between father and daughter and the adults.It's taking on serious topics without going too deep yet remains powerful and relatable.
The soundtrack is also good, very fitting for the powerful message they want the audience to absorb. And even the main characters are mostly newbies in acting, they are delivering their lines and emotions at the right place and at the right time.

Not what I expected
I wanted to like it really I did. I loved all the other school franchises with the MLS didn’t really grow on me and the NFL either the second couple had better chemistry and the story was just messy all over the place I was frankly very disappointed after being very excited. I really wish they had developed the story better it might’ve been really good in fact I was surprised that I enjoyed the teacher story much more than anything else.I am not sure I would recommend it and that is very hard for me to say because I really again enjoyed the other schools and I forgot to mention I didn’t feel any any chemistry with the first lead couple again disappointing.

As a person who enjoys watching high school dramas I loved the first episodes!
The cast is really atractive,the situation between the ml reminds me of seojun and suho and I can't wait to see the bromance!
If you enjoyed watching True Beauty you should definitely watch this one too!
The female lead is really cute and kind which i love,also the male lead is really funny so I think he'll be one of the best characters!
Loved every scene from both episodes!
I'll look forward the new episodes for this week!!!?
Overall the drama is basic but enjoyable and cute?

what is that awkward, slow mo, random love square, horrible voice fl that's trying way too hard to be cute, and the brooding dude that's so squeaky?
it's like gen z killing the beautiful school series, though tbh the school series "made it" because they always had good main actors, atleast they had ones I liked xD
I mean, it's kinda school 2017 but different cast.. a friend died, the fl loves a random hobby, the ml is brooding, they're "enemies to lovers" and they have 2 randoms who're in their squared love line

Si poteva fare meglio
Non avevo tante aspettative su questo titolo, l'ho iniziato infatti con il pensiero che non fosse nulla di che, ma in realtà non è cosi male. Sebbene io non apprezzi così tanto i drama scolastici, questo mi ha lasciato comunque un bel ricordo. Di cose negative però ne ha e anche molte, la storia principale, che dovrebbe girare intorno alla scuola, non è stata trattata nel migliore dei modi, i personaggi sono scontati e in molte occasioni stereotipati fino al midollo. Per non parlare del triangolo amoroso che si forma all'inizio, totalmente inutile, e della main couple che ho trovato poco gradevole e troppo infantile, se devo infatti essere sincero, l'unica cosa che mi ha spinto a continuare questo drama è la second main couple.
