Real tear jerker, Ill-fated relationship!
I just watch this old dramatic melodrama in 2023.. and I regret to just find out this great drama just now... after 11 years.... I should watch it earlier and join the hive!
First of all.. this drama is very detail, they describe about "rich people", "dream", and "music" in different level.
Love how they use piano as the main focus of the story to represent dreams, and love. The young version of main leads also has a great chemistry.
I love Joo Ji Hoon acting so much!!! He is really a great actor. I love Jin Se Yeon as well.. she is a very young actress, but her acting is suitable to describe the lovely and bright Da Mi. She has a great smile and that's make people getting attracted with her. She is a happy fever for both male leads, and I can feel the first love story has been developed so well.
All characters in this drama are perfect. I can't explain how I amaze with all the casts!
They have a very strong connection with the plot, and successfully can express their own character really well.
It just very sad that Ji Hoo and Da Mi can't be together... because of ill fated relationship between them to have a complicated family background.
No matter what.. the ending is very realistic.. and I'm glad that Ji Hoo finally can get the company back, and leave it to In Ha. At least.. they finally have a peaceful relationship as brother.
I don't expect the ending can be that sad.. but it explains how karma works in life. After all... blood is thicker than water. How the mother express love to In Ha is totally wrong, but sad at the same time.
The plot twist in the ending about Ji Hoo and his mother is also so heartbreaking. That was a great climax that bring the story become more tragic.
I am heartbroken almost in every episode.. and I love how this story make me curious everytime!
I love how the kind people can be bad, and all the bad people can be kind. I can tell everyone has angel and devil in their heart.. they can be angel and devil depends on how they have been treated.
I love the story keep moving forward, and Ji Hoo show his cold and different side when he came back to revenge.
I fall deeply to the main leads. It was a drama with full of ups and downs, love and hate relationship, a perfect way to describe ill fated relationship.
It's a tear jerker.. and I will never forgot how this drama made me feel.
I wish Joo Ji Hoon can play in another romance drama with Jin Se Yeon. I wish they will come back in more romantic scenes.. eventhou I know that they have been playing in another fantasy drama.
I learn that love doesn't always have to own each other. Sometimes.. when you let go of someone you love for the goodness, means you are mature enough to see them happier and move forward even without you.

Almost unwatchable
Brothers rivalry done wrong. The plot is too ridiculous in a bad way, it lacked that tiny bit of sense to keep it grounded. Bad set up, lame characters, childish love triangle/square, disappointing revenge, and unnecessarily long. The last 5 episodes were very detached, random made up events with no clear direction. Was this review helpful to you?
Eh Fingers!
This was in that awkward zone of not being bad enough to drop but not being good enough to really satisfy. It peaked in its first four flashback episodes, which were excellent. They did a great job setting up the twisted family dynamics and a potentially interesting plot with high emotional stakes. However, once they were adults the ML and FL were such insipid characters. Their romance was painfully bland as well. Between this and Mask I've learned Ju Ji Hoon can't act in makjang to save his life. The plot would have been fine at 16 episodes, 20 episodes max, but was too thin to fill 30 episodes. There were cool twists and reveals, but it also got slow and repetitive. The great villains are what kept me going. Chae Shi Ra was excellent as the evil mom, she was so charismatic and totally commanded the screen, and Ji Chang Wook was similarly strong as the jealous, vengeful stepbrother. Since the "nice" characters were mostly a bunch of drips I was always rooting for their evil schemes to succeed. I'm not mad I watched it but I also don't think it was worth the 30+ hour time commitment. Thankfully, Kim Soon-Ok would later explore similar themes in a similar setting with much greater success in the Penthouse.
