Loved: I loved that the leads remain friends for the majority of the dorama - once they started living together it would have been very easy (and not at all unusual) for the writers to throw them headlong into a co-habitation romance. 9 End 2 Outs is easily the most realistic exploration of the friendship vs lover dynamic I have seen in a dorama. The soundtrack is also enjoyable and complements the onscreen action well.

Didn't Love: Although adorable in his own way, I felt the story improved when Jung Joo was absent, ditto Ji Sun. The story did drag a little at times, but nothing like most K-Doramas - in fact I think I actually enjoyed the second half more than the first! Hyung Tae's unconscious two-timing seemed a little strange - surely he would know which woman he actually loved (the dorama kind of skips over this). Also, I still don't understand why Korean parents can control who their children marry once they're of age - and surely 30 is considered of age in any country!

9 End 2 Outs is about true friendship and deciding which is more important: friendship or love. A very realistic (as far as doramas go) exploration of the topic, not just between the leads but some supporting characters as well. Not really a comedy although there is definitely comedy in it. A nice relaxed dorama to watch at your own pace.

A REAL GEM ... DON'T MISS

first of all what made me gave this show that rate not 10/10
that it's basically depends on baseball sport rules & i don't like that sport or even understand it's rules

but the story it self away from that part full 10 cause
i adore the stories about how friendship turned to be love
what made that story distinguish that it could happen in real life (realistic) one,
very smooth ,superfine & slow love
although i wasn't at the drama mood but it kept drawing my attention till i continued which means it's really v.good drama & the plot is amazing

i love how they tried hard to keep their friendship safe just not to lose each other till finally they discovered that if they won't admit their love they already 'll lose
i love how they were so honest about what they were thinking about without sensitivity

P.S : really i was broken hearted for (Lee Tae Sung) cause he really loved (Soo Ae) so T_T

in sum : i found it amazing underrated drama

This was a decent show overall. It had some good life lessons that I could relate. The one thing that bugged me was that most of the time when they used English songs in the background, the songs didn't really match the scene which was a little distracting. However the Korean songs were always on point. The stand out performance came from Soo Ae. There was not one time that I thought she was lacking in acting ability. As for the male lead, he didn't capture my fantasies like he should for a male lead. My fantasies were captured instead by one of the minor characters played by Lee Sang Woo. This man is gorgeous and definitely swoon worthy. The plot lagged in some areas and certainly some episodes could have just been cut but they did tie up all the loose ends in the end. The ending was not exactly what I hoped for and yet I was happy with it. They got to the destination but with some extras that I didn't really feel were necessary.

Stand out episodes: 8 & 13, with the 13th being just a hair better to claim the Best Episode Award.
Let down episodes: 2, 4, 7, & 16; with the 4th winning the Worst Episode Award due to being boring with no real plot development. This show probably could have been condensed to 12 episodes.

The title should not draw you out

(the drama has nothing to do with baseball details but I have a simple explanation of the title at the end)

From the first episode, it was already Captivating me. The good feels took a lot of stress out.

The music, the Light tone, the Friendly tone, the Closeness and Loyalty.
I love how very Casual, Normal, Plain, and Easy-going it is!

Not an ounce of cheesiness. But mature, sensible, and beautiful relation. It’s free of stupidity.

Not the cliche type. It’s about a deep meaningful relationship.
Even though it seems like the standard trope at first glance, but it has more to it than what the eyes see. Unlike the usual friend to lover happening suddenly or accidentally this is Natural.

The mature and sensible and considerate method of approaching the border surprised me. It’s frustrating a bit that it takes very long but that’s the beauty of it.
The FL’s sincere smile was beautiful. I fell in love with the ML’s light-toned friendly personally. They had great chemistry. It melts my heart.

The OST keeps playing in my head, and it is represents the drama so well.

The drama was never meaningless. everything was done well and meaningfully. All relationships felt real. Some moments also hit deep.
GOLDEN drama. One of the best of the best.
To me, this is the ultimate happy relation drama.

After watching it, I looked up the meaning of the title and understanding this made me feel closer to the drama I loved:

I don’t know baseball well, but ...
- A baseball game consists of 9 innings (baseball rounds for each team). So the 9th inning is the last round of the game.
- Every team is allowed 2 ‘outs’ (like chances) and 3 ‘outs' means the team's turn is over.
- In the title '9 End 2 Outs 'or better said: '2 outs in the 9th inning', means that they have one ‘out' left before having their turn taken away in the last round of the whole game.
And it is up to you to make the analogy with the relations in the drama.
I hope it makes sense.

It’s a drama that I wanna watch again to notice all the details I didn’t the first time and things I missed. I love it.
I just wish it was exactly one episode longer.

I really liked this drama but it should be noted that it is very very slow. The acting is great and the plot is very realistic, but it's quite slow moving, so it's not a great one to binge watch. However, if you want a love story that follows what it would really be like for two life long friends to try and be something more, this is a good series. I didn't quite understand that dragging out of episodes 13-15, but other than that it was good and it has a good ending too.

I really enjoyed seeing Lee Jung Jin and Soo Ae in the lead roles. The worked perfectly together. And the performance of Lee Tae Sung as the second lead was great too. He perhaps overacted just a little in parts, but still...well done and his character was a fun addition and twist that added a lot to the story even after it was no longer on screen. A character that lingers past his/her on screen performances isn't something you see often and it was well done here.

All in all, it's a pleasant drama that I'm very glad I watched. I'm sure I'll find myself rewatching it in the future too.

This was a re-watch for me. A friends to lovers drama, both leads were matured and actually had personality. I am a big fan of kdrama’s clean cinematography but it was nice to see actors looking like real human beings and being relatable. The male lead was a ladies man without the added obnoxiousness. I won’t mind watching this again and will recommend this for someone looking for a break from the usual in your face kdrama tropes and cliches.
I wish certain side characters got a little more screen time although them not getting more screen time didn’t affect the drama significantly.

Friends to Lovers

Okay so I have to say it - storyline overall was well written and portrayed. I have to say though that the one thing that frustrated me no end is the way the main lead actress is pushing for ‘her man’ to go into the arms of the woman who left him without a word and also was cheating on him at the time. I’m sorry but never in all my life would I consider doing this to the man I’m in love with. Yes I too married my best friend and we too had a 6 month hiatus when things were moving a bit too fast for me. That being said - the time apart I hated the fact that the girls were all gooing and ga-ing over him when I couldn’t. I believe that if you’re already in the feelings stage of realising that your best friend has now moved into the moving your heart phase - I’m going to do all I can to keep him as mine. No matter how famous the other old flame is. Just my add on. Sorry to all those who absolutely loved the way this was close to reality - for me, not so much…….

9 End 2 Outs (2007) - one of the dramas that are friends turned out romance trope which is one of the genres that I am not a fan of.

This drama is quite likely more on the mature type since it has that realistic flow storyline though for me I was not that into it since I just don't like the genre. Maybe I did watch this is because of female lead which is acted by Soo Ae and I really like her other dramas.

Not a fan of this drama, maybe those who like this type of genre can go for it.

This is a slow paced drama with many long and boring convos! Dont get me wrong i love the premise of a long time best friend turned into lovers! I dragged myself into finishing this only because i would want to know how the loveline would progress!

The story is just simple, no maddening mom (nan hee's mom cannot consider one since she is too way a loving mom to her daughter), no evil third party, not a rich man lead etc. what i like about this is the writer's view of a mature, frank, non- bs relationship between a man and a woman in their 30s. Their friendship is one of a kind! It shows how a pure friendship is slowly turning to a pure romantic relationship without the pressure of making it too fast! I think that's where the beauty of this drama!

The two leads acted with chemistry! It seems they really know each other very well! But if you are looking for a top notch chemistry, this may not be what are looking for!

Overall, i am satisfied with the drama, the ending has fulfilled the desires of its viewers! Go and give this a try!

Ромком чистой воды, причем из той категории начало, как правило - самая скучная часть;
