Really beautiful and fun to watch drama
This was such a good drama; the ML and FL were excellent in their roles. This drama needs to have a 2nd season. The story is interesting because the FL is strong and stands up for herself....she isn't waiting for someone to rescue her. Through out the drama she faces challenges and conflict but continues to find solutions and continues to move forward. I loved the deadpan way the ML speaks and the dry humor of his comments...i.e. "ship of fools". Even more interesting is the ML character's struggle to learn to trust and love due to family history. The ML's portrayal of the character's insecurities and stuggle to understand his emtional reactions when confronted by the FL is really amazing. The FL and ML relationhsip was nuanced yet honest which is refreshing. The ML and FL actors should work on more projects together because thei acting was great.

Light, fun, quick watch
This one is a very light and easy youth drama which you won't regret watching.Firstly, I found this drama after watching Love Equations. Struck by second lead syndrome, I searched for Li Ge Yang's drama and found this. This is his first Main Role and I am interested to watch it right away.
The story is identical as the youth dramas you all usually see. Haters in senior high, then became lovers in Univ. Misunderstanding and family problems occurs then some jealous and missing moments. But the cast really nailed it! They are just extremely cute and fun when they are together. First time seeing the FL, she did it well. Waiting for more of her projects. Her acting is just soooo cuteeee! The ML also acts good, with the personality transition and the secret love between the 2. Supports are also very good. 2nd couple and 3rd couple acts good too. But I just pity the 3rd couple. They are not shown many times and their dating moment is only in 1 eps.
The thing I don't like from this drama: The ending is so unsatisfactory. The ending literally is a plot twist and it just ends IN a rewind.
overall, 8/10

Frustratingly Childish
This drama feels like a frustrating watch. Luo Yan's toxic and immature behavior, despite being in college, makes him hard to root for. His impulsive reactions are tiresome, and it's baffling what Fang Li sees in him. The lack of chemistry between the leads makes their relationship unconvincing, and I couldn't connect with the characters at all. The pervasive childishness among everyone in the show adds to the disconnect, leaving the story feeling pointless and unsatisfying. Even by the end, it’s unclear what the drama was trying to achieve. Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet and rather innocent easy entertainment
This was rather sweet, with the innocence of youth but with a small element of “what happened”.Lots of familiar plots and character-types we see in nearly every “young love” C-drama.
I would say it started off a bit stronger than it progressed. Kind of wished they had skipped a sub plot or two.
Good with short episodes, and even if I usually skipped intro and outro, the music was fitting.
This doesn’t really affect the rating, but it affected my viewing experience:
I watched this with subtitles on Youku, and some of the lines disappeared way too quick, and they often became very difficult to read on light background (white text no background/shading).

Praise worthy!!! Double the joy of loving when you are each other's first love.
I love everything about this drama. What a way to start it by having episode 1 early stirring up your excitement. The screenwriter knew how to play it well and made a difference in stimulating the viewers’ interest in a common story of a school youth romance. All scenes are perfectly placed into sequence and it was not hard to follow moving from the back story during their high school days and then connecting it to their college lives in the present time. All the actors portrayed their respective roles in a seasoned way, unexpected for their age and while watching, it was as if you were seeing them in real because their acting out flaunted naturally. Of course, you will love the sweet, gentle, innocent, and provoking intimacy of the lead couple. It was a clever idea also to let the female lead get involved with a couple of men and supplement the conflicts of romance in the story. The second lead couple appeared especially charming unexpectedly and was given almost the same amount of exposure as the lead couple. Their friendship here was very ideal. Moreover, I so loved those parts in the story where the male lead's father was showing his approval and support for his son's dating.Again, Chen Fang Tong has etched her name here for a short rom-com genre. She has become one of my favorite Chinese actresses ever since I saw her in “The Maid’s Revenge” and started checking out her drama projects like this one. She has such an adorable and lovely face. She’s like the Park Bo Young of Korea in terms of looks and can equally play serious dramatic and light comic roles. I gladly enjoyed this drama and have never been this satisfied compared to watching a few of the same kind. It was something plain and general but came out tasteful.

Wastage of time
I have seen some very brilliant cdramas which made me feel like there would be no dramas which are literally frustrating and waste of time but then came this drama... Now someone would ask, why did I started watching it in the first place! Well, my answer contains lots of reasons like I had watched the ML in Wait,my youth (one of my favourite dramas) and I found him a real cutie, I wanted to watch some high-school college drama, I had seen various people recommending this drama on instagram and so on. The only thing that turned out fruitful was the ML, He has done amazing job playing Luo Yan but yes I missed his charm and that bright smile he had in Wait, my youth and they had done a blunder with his dressing style, he is seen wearing a turtle neck t-shirts with a plain or line printed shirts having above few buttons open, also the terrible Color combination like charcoal grey t-shirt and dull peach colored shirt! I wonder were was the common sense of his stylist while styling his costumes! Then there comes the FL, I would hate to comment something negative because I am aware that I do not hold any authority to comment on the acting skills of an already published actor but she made me so irritated, yes she was pitiful but I just couldn't connect to her aura and her acting seemed ' acting ' . Because of this, I couldn't feel any chemistry between the leads whereas the only thing positive about the drama was an effort to make the viewer feel cheesy but in my case, I felt like throwing up when she said something cheesy, or did "cute" assumptions like first kiss seems like jelly (what nonsense)
There were so many discontinuities in the storyline that it just couldn't make me gripped to it and I am slipping away at 18th episode because I don't feel like the story is going anywhere as it has so many unnecessary plots like patching up the SL and his girlfriend, Pregnancy rumour (in which teachers are also very much non sensically nosy amd judgemental) and unnecessary characters like Sun Jiayi and SL's girlfriend.
I am spending my time to stop someone like me to watch this drama and save their time because reading this would take only few minutes whereas the drama will take more than 720 minutes and TIME is the most precious resource we have!

As other reviewers have already mentioned, the flow of the drama itself is a bit messy and choppy. I sort of expected that going in since the episodes are only 30 minutes. So I wasn't surprised. The transition between memories (i.e. when they're in high school) vs. the current day in college also gets a little fuzzy. There were times when I wasn't sure where I was in the timeline until I caught on to the uniforms in high school.
One thing I did like is that it's made clear that Luo Yan has liked Fang Li since he first met her, BUT because he was what 15? at the time he didn't quite know what to do with the feelings so he resorted to bullying. That's nothing new either IRL or dramaworld. I don't like that trope, but I can forgive Li Ge Yang just about anything.
Speaking of, I loved the drama because of him. All of the insanity and miscommunication and frustrations aside, he is ADORABLE as always. And it's high-time he got to be the ML. Only he could have made me love Luo Yan so much. All the angsty, YA yearning for love that he goes through, this drama just had all the feels. And Luo Yan finally figured himself out at the end and was able to communicate his feelings, so yay. And there's kissing, which I've been hoping for since I first met Li Ge Yang in "The Love Equations," so that made me super happy.
The FL is silly and ridiculous but wears it in a pretty cute way. I don't always like her, but that's normal for me with the Chinese female leads. She is actually a little bit aggressive towards him too, which I liked since most Chinese FL usually take a very passive approach. Her dream of their first official kiss as a couple is so cute because he breaks it off to tell her that her phone is ringing and she simply yanks him down for another kiss. It was just in her dream, but still, it shows where her head is it and passivity really isn't her nature.
The OST is super fun. Apart from "The Brightest Star in the Sky" this series probably has my favorite OST in a Chinese drama. It just fits the characters and the story so well.
Would I rewatch? Yes. Probably not the whole thing, but favorite scenes yes. And if VIKI ever subs it, then I will rewatch the whole series because I am dying for better subtitles than what Amazon Prime dishes out.
Overall, super cute with some storytelling flaws that in the long run I didn't care about one whit. Because it's Li Ge Yang and I couldn't stop smiling. We'll see how it ends and I'll update my review if it needs it.

Third class .. bogus
I hold it till episode 13 to give this show a fair chance but honestly I regret wasting my time on this crap ... Everything from story to acting sucks ... specially the female lead her character is moronic on top her acting made is even more cringe ... I cant point a single good thing about this show ... Unnecessary conspiracy tracks and misunderstanding between the leads ..to keep them apart ... Full of over acting and over reacting ... The storyline must have written by some eight grader taking in consideration the entire plot is so childish ... Boring and patheticWas this review helpful to you?

so i tried to watch this cuz i rlly like li geyang and was excited because it seemed like it would be a good drama but i couldnt get past episode 4 .. it was just so confusing and it felt like they just followed a checklist of cliche tropes to include and ran with it .. ive seen clips from the later episodes n i decided to drop it since it didnt look like it would improve .. a shame because i like the acting of the main leads but not even that could fix this lol ..on a positive note i love the ost hahah its so fun
