A Journey to Love!!
I don't even know why I was so reluctant to start this drama. Like, what was I even thinking?!This is a masterpiece, and it absolutely deserves its rating. It's my first time watching a drama about trauma cleaners, and it's such a compelling subject.
Dramas that delve into the stories behind deaths and evoke such deep emotions are truly amazing, and that's a fact.
Moreover, having Jun Sang portray an autistic character just made it even better. Watching him bond with his uncle and seeing Je Hoon grow fond of his nephew as they embark on an incredible journey is what I loved the most. I found myself rooting for them every step of the way.
I'm genuinely saddened that I put this gem on hold because of my slump. But I know that without that slump, this is the kind of drama you can't tear your eyes away from or stop watching.
Grab some tissues and brace yourself for a roller-coaster of emotions!!

A Heart-warming Drama
⚠Caution- Contains a suicidal story.
- Contains disgusting scenes (blood, insects, liquids, slum places).
📺Drama type
- This drama type is similar to Korean drama Taxi Driver and Japanese anime Detective Conan
- It has a main plot (the story about the main character and his family) while having the side plots running in each episode.
- Side plots: Each episode has its own conflict and will be resolved at the end of the episode. So, an episode has a different conflict story from other episodes. Example (does not contain spoilers): Episode 1 is about the death of someone ending his/her own life. Episode 2 is about the death of someone killed by someone, etc. If you don't like this kind of drama, then it's better to not watch it.
✅Pros
- The story is really heart-warming.
- Family-friendly.
- Unique main plot.
- Top-tier acting by the main character.
- Mysterious irritating yet funny and loveable personality by his uncle that you will be suspecting him in the entire drama.
- Adorable neighborhood character.
- This drama is for you who likes to hurt your eyes so the tears come out :")
- The duration is not too long so you can binge-watch it on a holiday night.
🔴Cons
- As always, because this is an original Netflix series (which only has no more than 10 episodes), there is a plot hole (plot missing) at the end.
- The side plot is somewhat boring and sometimes the conflicts are resolved too early/rushed.
- In the beginning, you might find it's annoying to hear the main character's voice because it's how the main character is.

"We are from move to heaven and we will help you with your final moving"
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ART.I haven't cried over any drama for a while and this made me cry more than once. This drama is based on a very niché concept which I've never heard of before. Which is why I was sceptical about watching it but as soon as I dived in, it didn't take me long to fall in love with this.
Things that I loved :
1. Acting. I already love LJH from his drama signal and I watched this drama because of him only and he again proved his worth as an actor. His role here was 180° from his role in signal but he devoured his part here as well. But more than him, I'd like to appreciate the actor who played Gue Ru's character. I'm pretty sure playing an autistic boy is a very difficult task but he excelled in it. He was totally into that role and I felt very connected to him.
2. Story. As I already said, this is based on a very unpopular job, trauma cleaners. I expected this drama to be creepy or disgusting but it actually turned out to be very touching and soulful. Most of the stories of the people who passed away were very heart touching. But other than that, the stories of our two main characters was what made me fall in love with it. I absolutely loved uncle's trope from start to end and Gue re's story made me cry so much :(
3. Lessons. I don't why but everything that connects to 'parents' or 'siblings' makes me connect to it 2000× more and this one succeeded in both of them. Also loving someone when they're present, having courage because you never know what might happen next and most importantly letting people go. We mostly know these things but when you watch it, it strangely hits home. I loved that part specifically.
Things that bothered me :
1. The next door girl. I don't think she had any major role in this story and was just used as a flower pot. I wish she was given some better role in here rather than just a nosey girl who has nothing better to do than following her childhood friend all time round. At one point I thought she's finally onto something when she got TOOO nosey in uncle's business but it ended up being nothing '). Well this doesn't mean I hated her, she was definitely a good refreshment in the story.
Well thats it because there's not a lot to complain, I absolutely loved this show and 100% recommend it if you wanna feel heartfelt and cry both happy and sad tears <333

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH ☹️?
if gusto mong umiyak go mo na ‘to. this is so heartwarming but heartbreaking alsobakla, first to third episode pinaiyak ako if want mo humagulgol, ito na yon. better days kdrama ver emz. mag tatay sila na naglilinis ng gamit ng mga patay. pinaka heartbreaking yung first episode dalawa na agad yung patay tapos tatay nya pa yung isa. ang daming learnings dito, yung clues ng mga patay nakikita nila, kung ano gustong sabihin ng mga patay nakukuha nila parang may mga clues na naiwan sa gamit ng mga patay tapos naiso-solve nila. it somehow amaze me. you must appreciate someone before it's too late talaga. i super duper love the ep 3, as someone na mau soft spot sa mga elderly, this episode literally crushed my heart. imagine, your mom di3d tapos gusto mo lang kunin yung pera nya at pinabayaan mo lang nung nagkasakit, yung perang naiwan pala ng mom mo is pambili nung pinangako nyang suit para sana sayo :( ang sakit lang. itong series ata na to ang pinaka fav ko same with better days eh. i would yap about this all day long. I CAN’T EVEN WATCH THE EP 7 dun banda sa pinag away sila, i just really can’t. parang bumabalik yung sa weak hero class ueueueueueu di ko kaya. EPISODE 10 IS SUPER DUPER HEARTHBREAKING, sakit na ng ulo ko kakaiyak for 50 mins 😭 ang sakit na ewan, if i woke up with a swollen eyes, this is the reason. daming pina-realize sakin nito, huwag talagang mag tanim ng sama ng loob sa isang tao. sa ep 10, yung scene ni lee jehoon tsaka about sa kuya nya. super sakit, hindi na sila nagkita after ilang years, hanggang sa wala na na deds nañang yung kuya nya, tapos every year cinecelebrate bday ni jehoon, sakit. 10 episodes iiyakan mo talaga, GUYS I LOVE THIS SO MUCH, TO WHOEVER MADE THE SCRIPT, THE DIRECTORS AND THE CASTS. GUYS, KUDOS !!! galing grabe, seson 2 please !!! i would yap about this everyday. ito pinakamahabang explanation kasi super duper love the series 💞💞💞

Some of the best acting ever.
Move To Heaven (2021) is about a cleanup business run by a father and his savant Asperger son, who takes loving care of the last remaining earthly belongings of the deceased. So much loving care is taken with the belongings of the deceased that the work assignment begins and ends with prayer, as the deceased “moves to heaven”. The loving father meets with tragedy and the young brother of the father (and uncle to the mentally challenged but high functioning son) is asked to be a caretaker to the son and help him run the business. This uncle should not be trusted even with a dead dog, let alone a mentally challenged human. However, somehow they need to make this work.Quote: I can’t believe we’re rummaging through garbage to find garbage.” Reckless young uncle trying to find in the city dump the belongings of the deceased he carelessly threw away.
The young boy knows how to read the life story of the deceased from what others perceive as trash. I can not express how good the young actor who plays the mentally challenged youth is doing in Move To Heaven. Sometimes, you get these performances which are so good (Leo Di Caprio in the American movie ‘What’s Wrong with Gilbert Grapes’) that at no point in time do you see the actor as anything other than mentally challenged. This neat and ordered youth goes up against the abrasive slob from destruction. The drama covers the back story of each deceased character. This drama is so good. (I have a Note To The Sensitive at the end)
Actors Corner
Tang Jun-sang (Racket Boys) as Han Geu-ru just keeps on surprising me with his great performances in his dramas. He is a Baeksang Arts Awards Nominee for Move To Heaven.
Lee Je Hoon (Taxi Driver) as the young uncle Cho Sang-gu. He plays the irresponsible young uncle who only became the guardian of his mentally challenged nephew to get control of the money from his inheritance. There is a great human interest backstory for the uncle. Lee Je Hoon won several Best Actor Awards from various awards shows for his performance in Move to Heaven.
Hong Seung-hee (Navillera) portrays Yoon Na-mu, the best friend and interpreter for Han Geu-ru. She is his defender to the end. Hong Seung-hee gives a great performance.
Move To Heaven won the Asian Academy Creative Awards in 2022 for Best Drama.
Note To The Sensitive
Occasionally, there is amounts of strong cursing from certain guest characters and smoking in the drama. There are occasional boxing scenes. I will try to include Note To The Sensitive to my drama reviews.

THE INFINITE LIGHTNESS OF BEING.
It was very hard to concentrate on the story because of Lee Je Hoon...I mean this guy is a phenomenon. Is acting EACH TIME is flawless and delivered perfectly. The story as well is a solid 10. Mental Illnesses, if adequately treated, sometimes offer many abilities that others do not have.
The brain allow you to "absorbed" emotions, like the main character superbly portrait.
So the drama starts like a flower bud that in the end blooms.
I adore the cold cynicism of Je Hoon that clashes with the demure yet empowering personality of Hang Ge Ru.
Great show, but a bit more of "light hearted laugh" at times lower the value of re-watching.
When the subject is heavy, inserting suspense or laugh is a must.

Heart breaking but beautiful.
I watched this kdrama years ago but I still remember it so clearly. I love this series with my whole heart, if you haven't watched it you definitely should, however have some tissues ready. This is the only show that has made me cry every episode, and had many themes and issues brought up throughout its story. I have never loved a show as much as I love Move to Heaven. The soundtrack was full of classical pieces which I loved. All the characters were great and the interactions ranged from heartbreaking, sweet to funny with incredible acting. I love everything about this drama, it's a masterpiece. Was this review helpful to you?
Must Watch !!!!!! Highly Recommended ❤️
At first, i was really curious by the title 'Move to Heaven'. But as I watched the episode 1, it's a roller coaster feel of emotions. It makes me hook and give realizations and reminder about life and death. Also, because of this amazing masterpiece show, I already know how noble 'trauma cleaner' job it is. They give an honor for the deceased. In life, it is really important to take care each other, and value each moment. We don't know what might happen in our life in the next coming days.I would like to thank for the real life trauma cleaner, for the director, writer, staff, casts who portray their character really great! It's so awesome. One of the best kdrama!
Hopefully many people will watch this show! It's a must watch show! Highly recommended!

It is one of those that stays with you for quite some time for sure. I finished it this week and and need to take a bit of a break from watching other films and series now I think. (That’s not a bad thing at all!)
The topics that are covered - death, grieving, loneliness, outsiders of society, and also autism - are addressed really well despite it being a relatively short series and relatively short episodes. I actually think in this case it is better left short. Sometimes less is more (such as when things are better expressed with less words or less details).
I think even though it is set in South Korea the topics are universally important and present in most countries in one form or another.
The topics are really heavy (it made me cry a lot… I felt really affected by the stories (of the dead people you meet in every episode) / the story (of the main characters) but also remembering people I lost in the last few years and thinking about people I come across day to day /at work whose stories I don’t know…….. CLOSE very long brackets :) :). ). but there are a few funny moments which is nice also - this contrast makes it even better to appreciate both the funny and sad moments.
I love classical music and I liked the bit when we see what music pieces Geu-ru (I’m not sure what the correct spelling is) plays during each job cleaning out a deceased person’s room/flat. I also liked the music/theme that was made for the film (I assume it was, as opposed to the pieces that were existing music pieces, but I have not found the soundtrack anywhere).
The series was not patronising towards autistic people which was well done too. It could have been very off-putting if they would not have got this right.
Finally, the actors were great!
Overall, this is my favourite Korean series watched ever so far.

A true masterpiece
I originally watched this show a couple months after it had come out. I had wanted a chill drama to watch a little bit of after a long day at work. Instead I was totally hooked immediately. This drama took my breath away and I could not stop crying whilst watching it, but not all the tears were purely from sadness. This show holds a very special place in my heart because of how beautiful and heartwrenching it is. There is a word in my native language that I rarely hear meantioned in English but it feels like it perfectly describes this show. The word basically means even if something is sad or bad you still WANT to live and to find the happiness and beautiful parts of life. That is this show. The way the characters get to grow closer whilst they also learn something from the deceased is my favourite part of the drama. To get to learn their life stories whilst they learn about each other and grow together is so well made. The acting, the script, the pacing, everything is perfectly made. Even the sad and traumatic parts are portrayed in a way that makes you sad but does not take away your desire to watch the rest of the drama.
Touching on the acting real quick, I think this is some of the best acting I've seen in a while. The actor who plays the uncle does an amazing job at portraying the different sides and the development of his character. I think particularly the scene where he finds the shoes is a showstopper of a scene. The guy who plays Geu-ru does a terrific job as well. As someone who is very close with a lot of people on the autism spectrum I have to admit I have never watched a show that handles the topic as well as this does and max credits to him for being able to do that at such a young age.
I have watched the show several times and I never get bored (yet I cry every time), this show is a solid 10/10 more than any show or movie has ever been for me. I recommend this to people over and over again.
To everyone who worked on this project, A BIG THANK YOU!

mth is not the best kdrama, its the best SHOW ever
move to heaven is definitely one of the shows that once you finish, you’ll feel a void because you know you will never watch such a perfect show for the first time again. Make yourself a favor and watch it cause the way they tell the stories will make you feel everything they want you to feel. This show has LGBTQ+ representation which makes me sooo happy, the representation feels sooo real. Sometimes queer characters are written in a way were they just feel from a children book written by a straigh woman but THISSS is just realistic and the acting just makes it perfect. also plus points for having hongseok from pentagon in the cast (stan pentagon)overall: 1000000/10
