Good Enough

" The shipper " was a really messy drama. It blended genres, characters, moods, and relationships in a crazy blend of fun and tragedy.

The first part was more comic, with some mystery when it came to Kim and his real life. The whole 'shipper' plotline was fun to watch as well and it was a nice touch. The plot was slowly built as well. However, it was obvious from the start that the whole thing was too complicated. Each episode messed things up and kind of erased everything that had happened in the past episodes. Episode 11 almost made me drop the drama, but they soon fixed things up, fortunately. The ending was bitter sweet, but that act, in the end, was cute. Also, it was left to be assumed that there might be a second season... (?)

Now, for the characters, some of them were annoying (like that girlfriend), even Kim was a bit endearing at times. But, overall, the couples had chemistry and they were interesting.

As for the cinematography, the creators did a good job with the comedy element, without overdoing it with the over the top scenes. The OST was cute too.

So, overall, six out of ten.

Feelings

The shipper has the best end end scene I've seen so far. I laughed so hard and cried but I laughed more. ?????????????????? In all I just really loved that Angel of death and her intro que. I don't really know how to write a review this is actually my first time but I will actually recommend the shipper. It can also be downloaded on YouTube and can be watched in a day well that is if you have time to. The shipper really has interesting topics for each episodes some of which I really could not understand but when you watch each episode you see it comes with its own story that helps us to understand it in general.

One of the better body swap dramas out there, just mind the nosebleeds

The first time I tried to watch this drama I got annoyed by the low quality comedy and nosebleeds that I put it in my Not Interested list, a list with very few dramas.

But after a comment on feeds I decided to give it a second chance and as the nosebleeds and over the to wooing and froping subsided the quakity of the story took over giving us one of the better body swap dramas out there With very little second hand embarrassment, lovely friendships found family, lifes many dilemmas and pretty okay romance.

Had it not been for the nosebleeds and moments of over the top this could have gotten a higher score as both delivery and story where actually really good.

So be were of the nosebleeds but know the story gets a lot better.

P.S if you stick with it till the end you a bonus cameo flashes by, make sure not to miss it.

Ah, I don't necessarily watch body swap shows or whatever this type of genre is so it's hard for me to compare but It was an okay watch. It took me a while to get into it and it was actually pretty funny here and there but I was disappointed that the execution didn't happen, it wasn't necessarily a happy ending though it was for the most part and we really didn't get to see both sides of the story so that was a huge bummer for sure. Like I liked the idea of it, I liked that it was kind of funny and friendly and then honestly so much was going on and then it kind of crashed and burned and I was like damn :/ lol

Many people watched it because of the BL storyline, not for the story!

Many people judged this drama very low because they didn't like the ending. I actually liked the fact it was unexpected. All those BL with happy ending, or things that fit into fans fantasy is exactly the point of this story. We made up an ending and the story behind the two BL characters. We fallow the story and discover with the main character who he really was. The good AND the bad. We learn how he loved his best friend, and at the same time we see growth in all characters. So yes, he die. Well, we learn he was dead from the beginning. All the people shared their stories but you realise that it was already too late. So, they all waited the accident to share their feeling to someone who was not here anymore. You see, there is more to the story than just the superficial stuff. "Dont wait to say that you love someone", "make peace with family members before it's too late", "don't dream about the life of others and try to live your own"...
First was, very goo and that is why he's so popular today. He just started in BL, and already nailed it! (I am biased because I "love" him). So watch it, and be more aware to see the story for what it is!!!

I regret not watching this sooner

The BL community can be a little savage on dramas that present as BLs but aren't, and unfortunately, this show ended up suffering because of it.
I cannot express enough just how much i loved this show. I spent a solid 9-10 episodes laughing my bottom off and the rest literally sobbing.
The comedy in this is just perfectly timed and placed. Not over done. Just *chefs kiss*. And by howdy does the directer know how to pull on your heart strings just right. This is very much a binge-watch show because you will not be able to stop watching.
I went into this thinking i was going to get a ridiculous, light-hearted, silly comedy and came out of it literally dry sobbing (because i ran out of tears 2 hours ago from watching this), saying this is one of the best shows i've ever watched.
I'm going to bed now because I've stayed up insanely late binging this and also my head and eyes and chest and throat hurt from crying and laughing too much.
Peace.

Mixed feeling but......

I do have mixed feelings about the show but its worth a watch. The casting and acting is great and spot on. With First's first big acting job from what i know of, he did amazing and Fluke, cant say more on how he did amazing at portraying different emotions. And my boy Ohm. knocked it out of the park imo. Story will be confusing throughout the show, but that is what makes it entertaining. I love the comedic relief that the show gives off. The show is quirky at times but thats the charm of the show. The production of the show is good to. It never felt that it was cheaply made. Overall the story is good.

Alright, so at first, it was quite comedic and had me quite laughing genuinely.
After a while, I got very much into the story and found myself getting attached to some characters.

The actors did an amazing job. I cannot salute them enough.

Honestly, the end was a tragedy for me. I hate deaths of all sorts so I wish I knew beforehand a character would be forever gone. If I knew, I probably would’ve never watched it. For that part, I’ll have to say I’d probably never rewatch it.

Meeeh

I just didn’t care for the story line. It went from comedy to depressing and tried to end with a happy ending, it failed. It had potential to be amazing especially with the cast. The beginning gave me high hopes and then it fell into a black hole. You can literally watch the first five or Six episodes and just jump to twelve . Anything after six is just a filler. Kim should have been able to comeback and when his love. Oh well here is to the next show.

Unacceptable!

Absolutely, with the possible exception of History 3: Make Our Days Count, the most disappointing, horrendously shocking, worthless, nonsensical BL series I have ever wasted my time on! There is NOTHING redeemable about this except maybe the presence of FIRST! But, what a waste of FIRST! However, he did get the lead, which he should have again soon, and he got to exercise his brilliant acting chops. Other than that it was an enticing journey to nowhere! The music was fine, I don't really listen to the music anyway. And, all of those who wrote postive or semi-positive reviews are so desperate for any crumbs the boylove producers toss them that they put up with these idiotic plots and unhappy endings.

This series..... i dont know how to even word how i feel about it - perhaps a hot mess would be appropriate.

When i read the description of the series i was confused- it is being portrayed and labed as a BL series but its not - its heterosexual relationship. I felt like perhaps it could be similar to History my hero when soul swapping occured however it was made expicitly clear that the male lead only had feelings for the other male lead and not his ex girlfriend who occupied the second male leads body. However this series was not like that (i forgot the name of the characters so please dont blame me if i cant name them) the first male lead only fell in love with his bestfried when Pan (i believe is the name of the girl) took over the second male leads body therefore he cannot be in love with his best friend - and can only be described as love by proxy or some weird ass heterosexual relationship but definitely heterosexual and due to this i dropped the series as soon as i found out that it even eneded sadly no offence but for me nothing was good about it - the acting was decent but it wasnt funny like how they were trying to make it seem so personally for me i found it cringy and awkward to watch

Another reason why i dropped it was the whole drama about Pan being in Kim's body she just needed to get the fuck out. I know that she ships Kim and Ohm(?) (idk his name - i honeslty forgot) but you cannot force two people to develop feelings for each other and the fact that she got so obsessed with this idea that made me extremely uncomfortable that i couldn't bare to carry on with the stupidity

I absolutely love Ohm, so I was looking forward to this show ever since the trailer was released. I have a lot of mixed feelings about the show. It's not a BL, as I would categorize it, it is an inclusive show that includes BL characters. I feel like I was not in the intended audience for this show. It came across as extremely juvenile to me. I really don't like the body switch theme in the realm of BL or BL adjacent shows. It makes me cringe so much. I also don't understand the obsession with towing the incest line.

As I have already said, I love Ohm (I mean I really love Ohm). He has not had any role that I did not enjoy him in and let's face it he's gorgeous. I thought he did an amazing job cementing the acting in a cast full of newbies. I also always enjoy seeing Jennie. I thought all the actors did a good job. Nothing stood out as glaringly bad. I feel like the writers wrote Pan as Kim to be over the top to really differentiate the two of them, but I thought it was too much in the beginning.

The production was good. I just felt like they made everything so over the top cute. Everything was super bright and pink and just gave off cutesy/childish vibes. Even the OST is super cutesy. Honestly, the last 2 episodes saved the entire show for me. I mean they didn't have to make it THAT sad, but I was craving an injection of some seriousness. THE LAST TWO EPISODES!!! I wish I could insert a meme here. Even though you can see the plot twist coming from a mile away, oh my heart *grips chest*. Really the ending bumped my rating up much higher than it originally was based on episodes 1-10. If you're looking for a BL this isn't it, but overall I would say give it a try.
