If you are bored then it’s quite interesting to watch . But the plot was very annoying.
What I like in this drama is it’s very light, watchable to avoid boredom and the story was slightly different from other dramas. But I seriously hate this drama because of the FL’s character. She is nice, cute and simple as it shows. But without knowing the truth how can she just move out from the house and blamed her parents for her biological parents’s death. Is it really that simple. If someone addopted you adter your parent’s death and loved for the long time, and suddenly someone tells you that they are the murderer of your parents, how could you believe the stranger instead of them who are so nice to you along the years. How could anyone be so rude to them? If I was in her place, I would suspect them, but thinking of all those years when I’m being loved by someone that much, I’ll definitely try to find out the truth but I wouldn’t leave them that easily. This is the only reason why I hate this drama.

Make it a drinking game
I have to say that the only thing I liked about this drama was the OST. The english song "With Light Inside" grew on me. The song didn't made sense but Chen Xueran voice was so dreamy in this and the melody was bubbly and upbeat. Good enough to play on repeat. The story has a lot of "ick" factor. ML was 5 and FL was 7 when they became family, and he's been into her since then? and he has been the one to guide her back to bed every time she sleepwalks. SINCE HE WAS 5! They were raised as siblings since young even if she's known she was adopted from the beginning, the ick factor is huge. It would be better if
1. They didn't change her name
2. The parents were helping raise best friends kid coz best friends are in Antarctica or something.
3. They were neighbors instead of siblings.
Plus, her academic improvements were just too great too fast. From 400th++ place to being accepted into Medical school. Then there was medical school, part time job, medical intern, bakery business owner. The writer just couldn't decide what to do with this girl. The medical trope was just unnecessary. FL going into culinary field would have been much better.
Drinking game recommendation:
1. Drink a shot every time somebody carries the the FL.
2. Drink a shot every time FL gets a new job
Now lets get into the Ouyang siblings. Sister Ouyang has an "ick" factor obsession with her brother. While brother Ouyang can't manage his brain damage sister. He should have sat down with her and told her that if FL knew of their connection to FL parents death, things with their family could go really bad. Sister Ouyang was basically going all out to destroy her own family.
(out of topic) FL's kind of friend Liu ZheHui looks a little like korean actress Kim So Hyun when she wears the long hair wig.
I think the drama could be fleshed out more, the story told so far barely scratched the surfaced. I'm not that mad at this drama, I basically had it playing in the background while I was working. I can't watch this with full attention. I think I would strain my eyes with the number of time I'd roll my eyes.

Stop romanticizing toxic attitudes
It was entertaining to watch because I was bored, but it isn't a good drama at all!I don't know why always the ML has to be the best student and the FL the worst ond. It is so annoying and frustating. But that's not the biggest problem if this drama.
Su Mu Yun is literally obsessed with his sister. He is supossed to be secretly in love, but he tries to hide it by bullying her, treating her like a maid, manipulating her actions, the places where she goes, the way she dresses, the people she talks to or hangs out with. He follows her everywhere and stalks her all the time. He always force her physically. It wasn't cute at all. He is so possesive and toxic. Also he is so rude to everyone.
Su Nian Feng is so submissive and so easy to control, not only by her brother, by everyone. She has no personality. She was cute sometimes, but it deseperated that she let everyone do whatever they want with her.
The only likeable characters are Le Di Yin and Li Zu Hui. The others are meh.
There are some parts that are funny because they are so cringy.
The best part of this drama is the music. I loved the songs, especially the opening.

Most Suggested School Romance Drama
I loved this drama from the first to the end. The male lead did not disappoint me despite its his first project being the main actor. As a rookie actor, he's quite capable for more projects in the future. He has a bright future in this field as he is a dancer and singer too. He will definitely hit the top one day like the other rookies..They have a good chemistry with the female lead, i love them both. Hope to watch another series with them together as the main leads.. Jiayou???

Disappointing
This series started off realpy sweet and cute,However from episode 9 when OQ entered the story from the University it went down hill from that, the title was sweet first love, so i expected a really sweet romance but instead we got a really nasty cat and everything went downhill from that, i started skipping episodes and just forwarding just to complete 5his series.
The male lead was too serious and the fl was too ungrateful and naive as far as i am concerned.
Its not worth watch and extremely disappointing

If you’re really mindlessly bored
It can be cute but man, it’s like the production spent one day writing this story and one week making it.I struggled! Struggle to find any reason why I should care about this story. Now that I finished, I struggle to remember the “challenges” to their relationship. It’s also incredibly stupid to have the FL be “not that smart” in school and then all go the sudden, she’s a doctor or marine biologist or super scientist...?!? And then she opens a bakery...?!? It makes no sense!!
I wanted to like it so much but after all of the episodes it’s still it not clear to me that the FL actually like the ML and I am not sure I get why the ML is obsessed with her...because she can cook?!?? I guess watch it if you’re like, super bored and wants to give your brain a vacation to not hold one thought.

Unbearable
This was horrible to watch. I know dramaland has a history of rude/jerk MLs that do nice things behind the scenes, but it is my belief that the latter probably doesn't matter if the former is just that hurtful to the FL — and this hinges a lot on how the FL takes it.In this one, the weak and whiny FL was annoying, and the ML's coldness was just over the top. It was one of those dramas where jealousy wasn't funny and their entire relationship just seemed very toxic.
Something about the relationship progression with them being brother and sister first just felt very weird and unnatural to me.
Everything about the plot was very cliche, and it was just full of misunderstandings caused by the evil SFL.

Why is it too underrated???
I dont know why this drama is underrated but as for me it deserves more than this. I was reluctentto watch this drama at first because of the negative reviews. I took the initiative to watch it coz it'salready downloaded and was consumingmy memory. And let me tell you it's worth it.All the actors did a great job.
When we consider the story and charactors, it's quite unusual. The ML is obsessed with is so called sister. The FL is annoyed by her brother(not really).
The obsession of the ML unintentionally causes FL to hates him. But actually both of them love each other. They strive to be together even between all the hardships.
Sometimes the behaviour of the FL makes us unconforable and annoyed. But oveeall its one of my favs

- male lead who has eyes only for the female lead,
- male lead written by men/women who hate relationships and normal human socialization,
- female lead written by men/women who hate women,
- villains that don't get any consequences for their malicious actions towards others,
- good side characters (who randomly disappear for 1-2 episodes at a time),
- time skips that feel unnatural,
- plot ???
Bit of a chore to get through because of the forcibly good-natured female lead who is portrayed as a very shallow person towards her own family and yet is nice and trusting to every random character sprite that loads into any episode. Her parents disappear for half of the drama and she doesn't care because she has reasons which don't make sense to anyone but whoever wrote this character. On another note of why she is the contender for the worst character ever, even after she starts returning the feelings to the male lead, she treats him worse than anyone else she knows. She is more appreciative of people who mean her ill will than someone who always fixes all of her problems. A good example of this is her being dismissive of her female friend at times, whilst that same friend is the one person who stands up for her in the face of any problems that occur.
The male lead is disturbingly controlling, obsessive, and pushy with the female lead for the best sentence we have all heard as women while growing up, 'He's a boy, that's just how they act'. The first part of the show is one giant bully guide because, as the male lead himself says in one of the episodes, 'Only I can bully her, no one else can.' True love right here, omg. But I guess we will forgive him because he is super hot and does all these kabedons, as that is more important than having a non-toxic relationship portrayal in a show being watched by people of all ages.
Rejoice, for there are no love triangles, quadrangles, or other lovely geometrical shapes, mainly due to the male lead being super obsessive, so everything that is not the female lead is non-existent to him. This did, however, create a bunch of friendships and some decent side characters that were least painful to watch in this whole ordeal.
The shitty people category was taken straight from a historical Chinese romance novel where we have an 'innocent flower' villain who hates the female lead over the dumbest things ever, like picking up a blade of grass that they wanted when they were three years old. Yes, it's that stupid. And no, they don't get punished or redeem themselves in any manner because who would want to see that, right? The smackdowns that this person gets from the male lead were kind of funny though, but it all goes down the drain because the female lead is there to coddle them.
There are three time periods this show takes place in, and they're weird because in one episode they're in high school and after two school events they're graduating. Then university time where they're graduating after two episodes. The female lead, for example, swaps so many jobs in such a short time that I wondered if they were time traveling. I guess they wanted to show a love story that spans a longer period of the characters' youth, but to do so, they could have extended the episodes a bit so it would have felt natural and didn't require a timeline chart.
Then there was a bunch of seemingly interesting plotlines that were started and then didn't go anywhere. They just get discarded and we never see anything about them again. The side characters have some problems to resolve, we proceed to not see them for a while, villains do villainy shit and then the side characters are back after that. It's all one big glob of an ill-cooked plot.
This show could have been better. They had the characters and the right idea but it seems that current media just can't let go of promoting toxic relationships and how to build them. Luckily we as the viewers can stop supporting these kinds of stories and watch shows with better quality.

The romance / relationship between adoptive brother and sister
One review talked about the negative side of this drama, like bullying , incest .The female and male lead are quote on quote brother and sister but have no blood relationship. They grew up together, qing mei zhu ma. So many dramas have the male and female lead growing up together. The devil beside you with rainie yang and mike he, they were also brother and sister through their parents new marriage... anyways on to the review
Storyline- Female lead Zhuo Yi feng was young, she and her parents got into a car accident, leaving her parents dead and her being the only survivor, thus causing her having PTSD , and also sleeping walking. The male lead Su Mu Yun's family adopts her and changes her name to Su Nian Feng, to help her get past her horrific past. Su nian feng (FL) grews up with her brother and goes to the same school as him.
Male lead- is popularity in school because , he's in the basketball team. He is icy, cold male.
Female lead- is a lovable , kind and good at cooking, also she is easily bullied
Together they go through the last year of high school and then they go to college together. She meets one of her friends in high school, he has a sickness which causes female lead to study medicine in school.
Romance- some parts were cute. They have more kissing scenes towards the end. I don't really feel the chemistry as much.
Plot holes- There are way too many plot holes..
1) Sleep walking.... The sleeping walking part was just kinda weird, like her brother was always there to protect her and guide her back. But the times when she didn't live with the brother , she didnt have any sleep walking episodes?
2) Why would she listen the evil beep's mp3 randomly, and that would have the evidence of her parents death ?
3) She changed her profession so easily ? from being a doctor to a baker?
Evil characters
I can't stand lu cha biao !!! The evil girl is so annoying . She won't stop. Typically I dont like dramas with evil girl , trying to harm or bully the female lead. If its too much then i would rate it lower. The evil girl just had a obsession over the male lead and wanted to do everything to interfere between the male and female lead's relationship. I woulda slapped that evil girl, doing too much !
The male lead I feel like is a little to posessive over the "sister". Sometimes he can be very immature about his feelings and actions towards the female lead. Like when the female lead gets a present from another guy, the male lead would just throw whatever he prepared away for the female lead. The female lead doesnt throw it away, she would keep that item. I'm not a fan of the actor for the male lead, his eyes kinda always looks tired and droopy.
Overall , this drama was ok to watch., not bad.

They are too annoying as the lead
The one to blame is the scriptwriter , the story become boring in the middle of it , the char development also not to good , and one thing is they both already know ou yang xingque is the bad one and they keep easily fall into her so amateur traps over n over , the ML N FL char are one of the worst in cdrama, from ML instead of a cool one i see him as an arrogant ,childish, immature char , the FL is so damn annoying and stupid as she easily get provoked by other instead of find the truth she blame her addoptive parents? the only thing i like about this cdrama are the girl are pretty the FL and gao yu fei ( i like her tomboyish and energic char n also charming in a one special way) n honestly i think the FL should be with ouyang yu , i think Liu ze Er is much better looking and more like a cool one , he is much better than ryan ren imoAlso the ML is not that handsome to make all the girl crazy bout him at all.

Better than expected but still a typical C-drama
Where do they come up with these titles? There’s no ‘sweet first love’ in this unless you’re referring to ML, and his experience wasn’t exactly sweet since FL kept him pursuing her throughout most of the drama. As for everyone else, they didn’t get their ‘first loves’ except for maybe Li Din, but who knows if Zihui was his first love or not? I suggest they go hire the people who give names to paint chips and nail polish to come up with more descriptive titles.I honestly didn’t find this drama as bad as some people said it was. Sure, it was a typical high school to adulthood C-drama, but I didn’t get an ick vibe. I personally have no problem with foster/adopted/step siblings becoming romantically involved. As long as they don’t share blood, I’m fine with it. Yes, ML and FL were raised as siblings, but they were aware that they weren't true brother/sister, and it just seemed natural for ML’s parents to raise their best friends’ daughter. Honestly, for me, there's more an ick factor with older woman/younger men romances.
As for ML, he was certainly overly possessive, jealous and controlling, but I didn’t get a dangerous vibe. He was more a bully than anything else, but he did try to change in episode 21, doing things that he would have felt silly – like wearing a panda bear outfit, dancing with rabbit ears, cooking and even buying her a lizard. He was always there for her, and she did sort of take him for granted. He reminded me of the plant in Little Shop of Horrors because he was constantly telling her to feed him and used his stomach issues to gain her sympathy on more than one occasion. I’m not a fan of the poker face ML, but I do like how guys like this don’t give the obsessed female rivals the time of day. He was rude and dismissive of both Zihui and Ouyang Qingxue. I just wish he would have actually told Qingxue that he wouldn’t marry her even if FL hadn’t existed. He could have at least been more expressive to Qin Yao and told his friend he wouldn't marry that harpy for all the investment funds in China. The patch on his neck was odd, and they should have covered the tattoo with make-up, made him wear shirts with collars or get a patch that blended better. Back to his possessiveness – I didn’t find him as dangerous as some MLs I’ve seen (like the guy in Well-Intended Love that lied about FL having an illness when he could have just asked her out like a normal person). But, this is the great thing about fiction – ML will never become dangerous unless it’s written in the script. He’ll never cross the line so those viewers who like their men a little possessive can indulge without being frightened. In real life, you should take note of the red flags though, ok?
FL was cute without being too cute, if you know what I mean. She also wore sensible heels! She was definitely likeable, but I wish being ‘nice’ didn’t mean she takes all the crap flung at her by this drama’s trio of harpies (Qingxue, Monica and Qi Yuan) and their minions. At least, once in a while, she did speak up for herself, and she had the protection of ML and Ouyang Yu although I would have liked to see her take care of these harpies herself instead of relying on men to fight her battles. I really don’t know why these FLs let these b****** bully them so badly. You’ve got a mouth – use it! I agree with other reviewers about how FL reacted to Qingxue big revelation about her parents’ death. Why in the world would you believe this harpy over your adopted parents? I mean, who of the two displays the better character here? The harpy or the people who have taken care of and loved you all these years? I can understand being shaken at first, but after thinking about it, you should be reasonable and listen to their side of the story. At one point, she tells a dog she thought was a stray that both of them don’t have homes. Well, who’s fault is that? It was your decision to take off. But, on the positive, her self-imposed exile did help her grow up and take care of herself. I’m glad when she and ML went through a ‘silent treatment’ phase that she was the one that finally went to him, even though ML was at fault (jealous again, he was constantly jumping to conclusions). Why? Because it was always ML running after her. It was nice to see her seek him out for once. It was a little odd how she suddenly switched careers; ok, you can’t handle hospital work but what about medical research like she’d already done with Dr. Thomas? Why throw all that schooling away? And 1) where did they get the money to open this dessert shop and 2) when did she learn to make gourmet desserts?
Just a few comments on the other characters:
Le Diyin was a sweetie, but can't you just find this guy a new heart? Seems like a transplant would have been simpler.
As Zihui asked - was Qin Yao blind? Why did this guy continue to like Qi Yuan when he could clearly see what a vindictive, nasty shrew she was? For old times sake? He said she was a spoiled brat before her parents lost their money and you liked that? FL was his friend yet he just stood there and let Qi Yuan mock and sneer at her. He wasn’t worthy of being FL’s first love. He was an idiot....as a lot of first loves are. Why these people put them on pedestals is beyond me.
Qingxue was a first-class psycho chick who needed to be in a mental hospital. Her conceit was astronomical yet ML humiliated her as a child and gave her low self esteem? Really? FL didn’t do anything to her (except have ML’s love and devotion, which she didn’t accept for the majority of the drama) yet this spoiled baby had to maliciously harass her at every turn. Like that’s going to make ML fall in love with you instead? Then when ML turns down her investment/business marriage, she uses her family’s influence to make sure he’s not hired by someone else. And, at the end, she basically receives no consequences for all the harassment the MC had to endure because of her. I hate these kinds of characters, and it seems like every C-drama has one. And, let’s not forget her henchwoman, Monica, who tries her best to make FL’s work life a living hell because she wants psycho chick's brother who also likes FL. She didn't receive any consequences either. Just a question – are work places actually like this these days? Where groups of women will make snarky comments within earshot of their victim? I worked with women in a large company in the past, and I don’t remember this ever happening, but that was 20 years ago so maybe the current workforce is different. Or maybe Cdramas just exaggerate this? I don't know.
Overall, I enjoyed this drama, even though it was packed full of vindictive harpies who didn't get any consequences for their disgusting behavior. I like my leading men to be a bit more lively in terms of expression, but there was never a doubt that ML was devoted only and always to FL. I was glad they and their parents had a happy ending. As usual, I wasn't interested in the second couple's (Lihui & Li Din) romance.
