"Maybe somewhere there is parallel world where we exist but living with different fate !!'

"Train" is one of those dramas that I failed to understand why it was so underrated in tv ,seriously cause it 's such .great thrilling mystery sci-fic crime kdramas and one of the best that I watched this year ..
1-STORYLINE : big clap to writer what amazing story,we have those first EPs (1-3) that may look little slow and confusing especially for those who are not fan of mystery crime genre but for me it was needed to introduce the main plot characters ,to set questions such as" what is happening ?who is the the real serial killer? how it's possible that peoples who were killed their death bodies was found are alive and the ones who normally are alive are not?!!! from ep 4-5 you will find. Yourself in roller coaster  ride very well intrigued ,crafted twisted and intense ,when you though you're finally getting the clear answer than boom you will get surprise .that you were wrong ..especially the end each eps that will leave you hooked impatient to watch next one
-in other hand despite the crime investing plot the drama address life questions "What if?!!. .what if I did this not that.!.is result in end gone be different... Better... Worst.?! we really have hand in choosing our fate or no matter what nothing can change destiny?!"It tell How our every decisions,Choices, reactions,.actions, belief Can affect our path conditions nd life experience to build who we are and who we will become ..not just us but it affects also the peoples that we know and interact with..directly or indirectly
-Everything was well connected ,executed ,. We don't find a lot of those illogical irrelevant things.. Nothing was off the track cause coming to the concept of The parallel world we don't have a lot of Asian series that are satisfying or manage to let viewer enjoying nd understand everything easily clearly (for exp TKEM didn't work at all for me) but here ocn didn't disappointed us..
2-ACTING/ CHARACTERS:Yoon Si-Yoon in past I only watched him in drama"mirror of the witch " he was OK. But here it like new revelation for me ,giving justice to character is something then playing double role nd doing well is better.,but it's other level challenge to play character with duality in same drama ,cause in case of this drama you need to convince the audience that you're in reality same person but existing in two world dimension with different life experiences , you have to let them watch similarities and differences in both version of yourself .YSY did it brilliantly, his nuanced portrayal whether layered with rage or tears emphasized his commitment to bring out the best of him.I truly lived character with him and felt his every emotions during drama (his dilemma..pain.. Scars. Determination...frustration.. His hope....wishes..) I loved him esp in emotional broken.. Intense anger scenes... Even if we get few occasions to see it I must sa y he had also cute adorable smile ,my only complaint . Why i rated 09 is we mainly see "Do Won from A world" his story doing all the investing while I wanted more about "Do Won from B world "that lost broken one , I was waiting to see both versions from himself working together by travelling switching between 2 world ,solving the case ,fl lead Seo kyung aka Kyung Soo jin did great job although I think. her character esp in world B version needed to be more stronger ...other cast were nice too especially unfortunately since it was just 12 ep we couldn't see a lot of them as character nd their stories esp investigators team work ...
3-PH:nothing to say production cinematography was superb and high quality ,even if all events were in the same (palaces.,time..scenes..set ) but the Editing ,visual colors help us in distinguishing between world A nd B giving each one his different dark vibs connected with what happened in two parallel worlds
4-Music +ost were very good to create the exact atmosphere, making us in mode of each scene ( dark...emotional ..thrilling.. .ext) esp those instruments in all suspense and revelation scene "I will never" is personally my fav one .
-OVERALLY : I won't say it prefect wawoo drama ..and it probably not everyone cup of tea,but it definitively well written consistent trilling story ,worth to watch even for the ones who are not fan of this genre should give try

A visual, auditory and sensory masterpiece.

I was exploring the thriller genre when I came about this gorgeous drama. Everything about it is great.
The story is so good, and the ending left me feeling complete. So many plot twists (me being a thriller junkie obviously already predicted the ending - but still was not disappointed) and the writers did a great job of explaining everything, so I wasn't left with those annoying questions about the world left after the credits rolled, but left enough mystery till the end that I was hooked on every little detail and small things that didn't seem right (yet).
The visuals were amazing, highlighting the difference in settings and times. I think what carried the show as well, was the amazing acting. I honestly teared up a bit because the actors portrayed emotions so well.
Overall, OCN has done it again with another fantastic mystery!

Awful Motherhood vs Love Transcending Universe

The story itself is nothing original, many have tried to explain the parallel universe concurrently live on. Yet this drama has something unique intrinsically, that is love interconnecting the characters. The execution was wonderful too, keep me at my edge of seat every episode on. There are not many plot gaps, so I can enjoy it nevertheless.

The protecting instinct of a mother contradicts with her duty to nurture her son for a better man. Thus, I can say the fallacy of the motherhood was caused by her disease and her own trait. That being said, the act of multi-murderous of the son too was not all at her mother fault. His own will too caused it albeit his disease may contribute some too.

On the other hand, the ripple of the first murder at the same time causing love sparks. The umbrella was given approximately the same time female ML's father was killed. That love grows for 12 years. In world A it was nurtured closely, while in world B kept silently.

For the acting, both ML gave their best. However, YSY needs to be more subtle expressing his emotions. He seems more fragile than he should be. But I have weakness for KSJ, since I first catch her glimpse at HUSH. In world B she tried to convey her gesture proportionately as to her experience in the world. Contrary to the world A, her walks looks dragged like a lifeless being.

As the supporting was hit and miss. While most of the supporting police force was good acted, both antagonists has some to be said upon. The son is well-acted, portrayed to a sick person to the bone. The mother not so, her acting even in world A was not impressive.

The music was spot on, ending theme performed by Jo Wan Sun illustrating how a lover will never cease to chase his/ her love. Soundtrack too was appropriately accompanying the ambient atmospehere built by the tense suspense.

All in all, the drama is definitely must watch for those crave for love, suspense, and a bit of sci-fi/ mystic drama.

PS: the admins should add the romance genre to this drama ^^

Train was a nice crime show with a twist of parallel universes. How many times can we watch serial killer killing and detectives trying to find them, before it gets boring? Adding sci-fi elements to the equation, Train stood out among other crime shows, at least in terms of the concept.

It’s a quite fast paced thrill that will keep you engaged till the last episode. Perfect for a binge watch. The writer plays the differences between characters and their relationship in the two parallel universes well, making me interested in their future encounters and the results of them.

While in most cases I complain that the shows are too long and drag, here I would not mind additional 2 episodes, that could be used to ease me into the story and who the characters are. They hit you with some emotional dialogues and scenes at the beginning, but it’s hard to feel anything, when you don’t yet know and connect to the characters.

What’s more, I do believe the writer and director did not use this unique idea to its full potential. At the end of the day, it felt a bit too much like a normal crime show, where the investigation is tough, because they cannot find all the bodies. The parallel universes idea was not as prominent as I wish it could have been.

It’s hard for me to comment on the acting, since I believe many of the characters were simply miscast. While I adore Yoon Shi Yoon in many of his roles, I did not buy his portrayal of Do Won. Same goes for Kyung Soo Jin and Lee Hang Na. Both talented actresses, for me they just did not fit the roles in this show.

Overall, it’s an interesting plot driven story that escalates quickly and does not slow down till the end. While the show is not a groundbreaking masterpiece, it’s for sure a solid form of entertainment. It builds on the idea of the butterfly effect, where one choice can greatly affect not only your future, but also people around you.

So far..

It’s not looking good. To be honest I would’ve dropped this if Yoon Shi Yoon wasn’t the main lead... I don’t really pay attention to what’s going on yet I know what’s going on.. even right now I’m considering rather or not I should drop it.. which i probably won’t because I’m bored asf rn. Not really anticipating anything in particular

The cast is just meh, there’s nothing wrong but there’s something wrong with either the acting or the character. Two character are so annoying for me, like those two just seem fake, one of the two might be the culprit as her-his every face expression seems so fake.

Music is also meh not really that good but not that bad.

I’ll never rewatch this again ever.

So overall rn it’s a 4 out of 10 it might change depending on the ending.. if there’s a big surprise that can change my opinion then i might come back to edit. Giving it a 4 already feels overrated though, i guess i can say i added one more star becaus of Yoon Shi Yoon. I hope the story progress nicely so i can rate it better....

You guys made me question this drama

So as I was scrolling through the review section I saw much stuff I don't quite agree with.
1. The killer was easy to guess. I don't know if I am just stupid or if you are a genius, but I feel like they made the storyline to surprise us with another plot twist. Yeah, the doctor seemed suspicious but I could never predict the other person in the story.
2. The ML has weak acting skills, he was overreacting way too much.- Well I am not sure what scene are you thinking about but I did not feel uncomfortable watching him act or I never saw him overreacting. Ofc almost the same things were spread about the FL but there were comments like she was annoying and everyone can have their own opinion on this matter.

But when we want to talk about the drama without comments from others and only my honest opinion I will say that it had good chemistry between the main characters, good character development, and an impressive ending. I went into this thinking that it would be a normal serial killer thing but after 3rd episode when I was scrolling through reviews I saw the words "parallel universe" which kind of scared me and I was expecting myself to get bored after one more episode. But as you can see I finished it with good ratings.

***MAJOR SPOILERS***

No kdrama has topped Signal yet for me when it comes to thrillers, but this came pretty close. Just like the previous drama I watched, this was also about second chances.

Like Signal, Train (I guess OCN just really likes single title dramas!) did well in balancing the supernatural aspects with the crime solving. I figured out who the main antagonist was early on but I like who they chose, and also the backstory that came with it. I’m not sure how I felt about the killer’s motivation (it’s not exactly realistic compared to real life serial killers) but they made a good story out of it. The length of the drama also works…I’m just really glad it was only 12 episodes because if it weren’t, they would’ve added useless filler and some of the middle episodes would've dragged on. Train also manages to pull off a creepy atmosphere convincingly. I’ve seen other thriller kdramas try to do this, but with plots so ridiculous, I just ended up getting annoyed. Not so here.

This is a male centric story where the male lead, Do Won, is the protagonist and the rest are supporting characters. Do Won is a very strong but vulnerable, brave and yet in over his head type of hero. His parallel self is an addicted junkie who is consumed by bitterness and does nothing but harm himself and others in a downward spiral. The actor portrays both opposites well.

The actress playing the female lead Seo Kyung is also efficient in playing 2 different roles. I like how Seo Kyung was more stubborn and bitter in the parallel world and yet, she knew how to apologize when wrong and acknowledge misconceptions she’s had about one of the other characters. I also like how protective Do Won was over her and how regretful he was of his behavior towards her in the original world.

The chemistry between the main couple was good and the romance was very touching without eclipsing the main plot.

The drama also does well in connecting the parallel worlds in terms of the fate of its characters. There is this question of whether history is doomed to repeat itself and in some cases, yes but in others, the results can be quite different.

One thing I disliked about Train is how, in several instances, characters who would have been dead (getting shot in such close range?) managed to survive. I’m glad they did but it just seemed too unbelievable, given how the scenes were presented. Also, the ending, while happy, was still too open ended.

Thomas the Time Engine

First impressions are important and this one didn't have a good one. The drama really needed a better introduction for what they had, the first episode was just plain bad and it didn't serve its purpose. While I appreciate the shorter runtime of 12 episodes that OCN usually offers with their thrillers but even in this case some scenes and episodes were redundant. It didn't help its case repeating that one specific flashback of the night when male lead met Seo Kyung and lost his father about 20-30 times throughout the drama. The story had its usual plot holes just like most thriller/mystery of its kind but at least there wasn't anything outrageous. One more thing, it felt like it was the type of show that would benefit greatly from a custom made good OST.

I watched several Korean dramas that involved some type of time travel and this was one of them.

I couldn't decide what rating to give this after seeing the very last episode.

I love police dramas because of their chemistry but the chemistry in this one wasn't there. It was mainly about the main ML struggling with guilt in what he thought his father had committed. His goal was to make sure the victim whom he saw struggling to get along with life wouldn't get hurt anymore. Yep...it's about a girl...it always is.

I recognized the main ML from Psychopath's Diary. I really didn't care for him in that drama but I liked him in this one.

I just became somewhat disappointed by the last drama. I figured out who the main culprits were by the 5th episode and by the end it turned out that I was right. This was kind of disappointing because I was hoping I was wrong but I wasn't.

The origin of how the 'Train' came to be was never discussed. I wanted to know what it's purpose was. By the last episode to me, it just wasn't no point of why the 'Train' existed. It didn't have a proper ending for me. It just seemed that the way the people's lives were will always be in a loop.

It was a good watch but I kind of felt let down in the end.

Not a bad show but expected more

I started watching this drama cause the summary sounded very interesting, mixing mystery, fantasy anda thirller, genres I specially like.

The first four episodes were very good and kept me hooked, though soon after the plot loses strength and gets boring. The world travelling itself is not the main topic till the very last ep, which disappointed me a little. In fact at the end there's a final plot twist I would have enjoyed way before in the show.

Of course the story of the main couple is interesting as well as the crime investigation.

Acting not bad but OST not remarkable.

In summary, not a bad show but I expected more.
