Love It Or Hate It
Is a love/hate kind of drama. I loved the lead male character straight face and when he would give a smile. He had pride but was willing to change for a person who he fell in love with. I hate the lead female character having temper tantrums and and acting childish. I like that she was a strong character at her dream and her work values and I even like her a little naïve. But it was annoying how she would get upset at anything and go whined to her friend. As a female we can be naïve and still have pride and act correctly and strong. I like her friends character she was calm and handle situation much as a mature person would do. The obsess colleague also was annoying. Many years working with the boss and she takes possession that he should be hers. Even after he shows her that he has no feelings for her and that she is just a co-worker. This has become to typical of dramas, but it is not how us women really are. We don't waste our time with men who don't care about us. I skipped many scenes because I found them annoying. The writer forget that as fans of dramas we are not stupid and we would like a bit of reality. The actors performance was good and it looked as they had a good chemistry. Was this review helpful to you?
This Drama is interesting. Its Worth a rewatch.
So, like all other Chinese dramas, this drama is Slow burn and the last few episodes might be dragged but honestly I don't mind. It was a great drama..Sometimes when characters start dating the drama starts going downhill but at least when they start dating they have actual kisses and not the fake Accidental once that feel weird.
I love the contractual relationship plot in this drama and i wish more Chinese dramas would use that plot because it's just interesting in a way.
I don't live in a place where Contractual relationship happen so this plot is interesting and maybe that's why i love it so much.
I'm definitely planning to rewatch this because it was an amazing plot and also the Male lead looks like Jk from BTS.

Mediocre, with some entertainment value
I watched this after seeing some clips in social media that peaked interest. It didn't quite live up to my expectations though. It is OK, but quite unrealistic/extreme actions.
Some of the things that pulls it down for me:
How FL is quite immature, none of them communicate well leading to repeated conflicts, and if his coworker really liked him, why would she go to such extremes as to ruin his dream and life?
And how quickly did FL move in to a new apartement? It was like she went straight from deciding to break up to eating dinner in a new apartement. I even skipped back to see if I had missed a text that said "1 week later" or something.
I found ML to act quite well, whereas I am more unsure about FL - might be because of the character.

Rainbow puke
This drama is so mellow and neutral that I totally forgot what was it about in 2-3 days ? I don't thing that this was the producers goal. I will try my best not to ruin this show because none of my memories indicate that it was bad. Although the fact that I completely forgot what the series was about when I started to watch another one proves that it wasn't THE BEST.When I see a trailer is only recall flat characters and a weak storyline that made me to give it streched 4,5/10 . Dramas in my opinion should be more memorable. "My Rational Life" which I was watching just after fully overshadowed it.
Only thing that stands out in my head about this drama was childlish female lead! ? Apart from that "Hello! My Gu!" was a oversweetened series where problems are as flat as table. Thanks to browsing the gallery on MDL my memory is refreshed and I remembered that the last episodes were so packed with lovey-dovey scenes that it was hard to finish it.
One thing about dramas in the concept of "me and my CEO" is constant - regardless of whether it is a Chinese or Korean production, there is always a successful woman around the CEO who wants him to herown and the new shy unknown girls that caught director's eye is extremely hindering her in achieving her goal. Here her name is Jiang Jing Xuan and she was well played and actually was hoping she will end up with Mr. Gu instead. Oh well... she picked a baby ... ?

This is a nice romantic comedy that, although is full of clichés, works very well for the plot. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and, even if it took some time for the leading couple to acknowledge their feelings, they stayed true to each other. The leading couple has good chemistry and their romantic scenes were nice. There were a couple of antagonists but no mayor harm was done from their antics, especially since the male lead was not so easy to fool. The female lead, possibly because of her naivety and insecurities, kept believing others instead of trying to clarify with the leading male; but the problems are resolve within a short period of time. Overall, this is a lighthearted, fun, and entertaining drama to watch while waiting for a great one to come. Was this review helpful to you?
Cliche done almost right
Zero surprise with stereotypical cliches but I feel these stories can be done right if the cast is good. The same story line can be redone over non stop and its quit enjoyable to watch on the side.10 for the cast. ML & FL are both so expressive and adorable. The ML especially nailed the part.
FL 's dubbing is annoying. It's a bit overdone and sounds super immature for a 22 year old.
There's always loop holes with the these types of dramas so you'll need to avoid thinking about the logic and just go with it.
The ML's mom was a fun character and got me laughing a few scenes.
The ML's assistant was somewhat fun but could've used more humorous lines.
Happy no super mean girl syndrome (those are always auto skip).
Lots of fluff and happiness in this drama perfect for those who enjoys these.
WARNING fish lip kisses overload.

I have mixed feelings on this one
So I have a lot of mixed feelings about this drama.Yes, it's cliche, but what drama isn't nowadays?
The MFL and MML are cute together when they can actually communicate, but the age gap doesn't scale in the back story.
This leads to way too many plot holes overall.
The MML is awful at best, and abusive at worst. He doesn't communicate, and his double standards for what is okay for him but not the MFL pissed me off.
The MFL and MML are both so oblivious to what is going on around them and others' feelings that it's painful to watch. They constantly hurt others with their blatant obliviousness.
The MFL at least attempts to communicate, but lets her feelings get in the way of actual communication.
The MML's female assistant (love rival) is a total witch. I was upset that she didn't get a comeuppance at the end for all her bad deeds. She is a first-class witch. She played her part well but at some point, it became too much.
The MFL's assistant, I mean the puppy dog following her with big heart eyes, is a much better choice for the MFL. The MFL deserves so much better than the MML.
The Secondary couple was actually my favorite part of the show and they got way too little screen time.

a small mistake that I think is fatal
In fact, the overall results of my honest review are 8/10. In fact, I felt that from the beginning to 2/3 of this drama the storyline was quite good, it's just that at the end it seemed like the plot was deliberately sped up so it could end quickly.Do you still remember the moment where FL was almost raped? FL called ML but was ignored. As a guy, I feel that this action really doesn't reflect the nature of a real man. Yes, I know that ML is having problems, but IF IT WAS ME, if I had a problem, I HAVE A BOYFRIEND AND I "LOVE HER" then the only thing that can calm my negative feelings such as anger/annoyance/disappointment etc. is by interacting with my lover.
What I mean is, IS IT THAT HARD TO LISTEN UNTIL THE END OF THE TELEPHONE CONVERSATION? Luckily FL managed to escape and was no longer chased by the perpetrator. If that happens, I hope in my dreams I can enter the drama and beat ML to death.
Why do I give an overall rating of 5? I mean, it's okay, FL didn't tell ML that FL was almost raped, but why he DIDN'T ASK FL's FRIEND that, why was she so angry over something so trivial that she asked to break up? A CEO who is rich, handsome, successful and "SMART" he said, but here's what I think he's STUPID. What's more disappointing is that at the end they got back together and got married BUT the perpetrator of the attempted rape didn't get his reward even though the story was JUST PRETTY GOOD I felt a sense of dissatisfaction because of this.

Clueless leads ineptly fall for each other
ML takes filial piety to a whole new level in his pursuit of FL to fulfill his deceased father's last wish, to take care of and hopefully marry the daughter of his former business partner. FL is completely turned off by his romantic gestures as he hounds her with the same zeal that her brothers creditors have. It is only due to later that she agrees to the former and enters into a contractual relationship. Both quickly fall for each other, but are too clueless to pick up on the social clues and a comedy follows as they keep getting bad advice from those around them. It is only through the lubrication of a "wee" bit of alcohol, that the two discover their true feelings for one another.
Both have enough problems on their own comminicating, add in a couple love rivals and a unscrupulous corporate rival to the mix, and chaos constantly ensues. ML's rival is somewhat sweet and pitiable, but still wanted to confess after discovering the leads fake relationship had become real. FL's love rival was completely unlikable. She did everything she could throw shade on FL and even went so far as to almost destroying ML in an effort to be indispensable.
One of the dramas failings is a certain lack of closure with regards to FL love rival. Yes, ML discovers how she screwed the pooch, almost destroying the company, but the audience never discovers how he ends up dealing with the black hearted tart. The two leads continue to live in her rental apartment, rather than move into the FL's apartment. Weird, right? One must also just assume ML wins against the corporate rival as that storyline is left dangling. One must also assume that ML's father must have been FL's Daddy Long Legs, sponsoring her throughout her college year.
Overall, this drama was sweet and fluffy, but it is not destined to be a must watch drama.

The actors did a good job with their characters and its acted fairly well with how it is written though the emotional scenes don't carry the weight to make you feel them as the viewer. The story however did not stay consistent throughout the show. It is told very much like an outline of a story that hits all the main plot points without any thought behind the how or why of it all. Business problems that don't seem to make sense, money problems that aren't explained, and the characters almost seem to devolve as time passes. In an early episode there were many comments about how Qingqing was so young and even Mr. Gu made a comment about them having a generational age gap though they never actually tell you his age. But in all the flashback scenes of their childhood, which felt like they were added as an after thought purely to try and give the couple a past connection, the kids looked very close in age. The first half of the drama is fairly fluffy and fun with their bickering and Qing's character was made to be immature and at first it really was not a huge deal and easy to overlook. But when the couple finally get together later in the series it became painfully childish to watch most of their scenes together. The couple set rules that felt like you were watching two high schoolers in love for the first time not two adults and the fights and misunderstandings between them were immature.
I wouldn't recommend you spend your time on this drama. There are far better fluffy romances that deliver much better chemistry and a more coherent story than this. I would have rated this higher before I got to episode 20 but after that I found it difficult to even finish because of the behaviors of the leads.

Surprising and Worth It!
This was surprisingly fun and cute and just short enough for me to enjoy without getting tired of the story. I liked lead couple a lot because they felt very well matched and I liked that they actually talked about ML's childhood trauma and had him see a therapist.Too often, childhood trauma is presented as just another character quirk or hurdle that falling in love can overcome and I appreciated that they did more than just have it as a backdrop for why Mr Gu is Mr Gu without addressing how he plans to move forward in his new life.
It's not a groundbreaking drama by any means and there are tropes aplenty, but it doesn't take itself too seriously. You'll laugh often and smile even more watching this because it's just that silly and that inviting.
My biggest problem with it came from some of the directing and editing choices and there was an episode where an extra looked right at the camera that had me laughing for a full minute (see if you can spot it lol). But I wasn't annoyed enough to stop watching and I binged the whole show in about 3 days.
