The story is simple, cute and continued directly where the series left off.
The good: it ties nice little bows around some unfinished business, like my personal pet peeve about the actual series: Kom, Type finally has a talk with him in this.
Our main guys are fabulously amazing and again all the feels and all the fluff and it made me happy to watch and it was pretty much what I expected it would be.
The "had so much potential but fell short": as with my previous impression/review of the series, it truly missed the opportunity to be great, just a few more words between Type and Kom could have elevated their whole scene so much! *sigh* Type's father was rather comical in an absurd kinda way, almost a caricature I'm afraid, I would have loved to know what his actual feelings are and watch him have a heart to heart with both Type and Tharn.
Maybe in the sequel *fingers crossed* I'll see the bits I'm missing: dad's feelings, Type's feelings about his past trauma now that he's in such a better place, more insight into Tharn as a person and not just as someone who loves Type.
Overall, I rate this so highly, despite my bug bears because the good hit all the right spots for me and what I wanted this show to be: it makes me happy and it's sweet and there is the prospect of more to come as well :)

Pretty Solid Follow-Up To TharnType The Series
This movie actually tied up some loose ends from the series which I loved! I was asking myself "how did Type's parents feel about his and Tharns relationship" and "wait did Type patch things up with his childhood friend?" Luckily this movie addressed both of these and gave us more cute moments. It felt more like an extra long episode, not really cinematic but that's okay. Also they kept Type's character development the same THANK GOD. Definitely would recommend for fans of the series. It also really made me want the second season even more since apparently it's a flashforward sequence, so that'll be interesting to see what they do with the characters for that. Was this review helpful to you?

This was a cute episode to wrap up the loose ends from season 1. I don't know why, but something about Type's father threatening Tharn with a machete had me cackling nonstop. I like that this episode was kind of just a slice of life for Type and Tharn without any real drama to worry about. I'm not sure I would rewatch this with the same kind of urgency I would rewatch season 1, but there were a lot of cute moments that I wouldn't mind watching again at some point. Also, I know they basically just use the same two songs over and over, but I really love them to the point that I've added them to my everyday playlist even though I don't understand it when I'm driving in my car lol

Just rewatched it again!
If you simply wanna watch TharnType's love for each other, then you're in for a treat. This is a simple movie without complex drama or storyline, unlike the drama itself.I really enjoy this, especially the part where they visited Type's father. It's really funny, and perhaps come say childish, but hey, its a show, its meant to be entertaining :)
Needless to say, I enjoy watching Tharn Type, beyond the normal jealousy scenes. They portray true love, understanding and embracing one another, almost like they move to next stage of relationship.
While TharnType as a series isn't my favorite due to its storyline, but as a couple, they are still one of my favorite because they never fail to make my heart flutter and melts, each time. I also love how passionate they are with each other, like they can't get enough of each other!

I still don’t ship TharnType, but at least there was no toxicity in this special so it’s a bit of a relief and also one of the reasons why it gets such a high rating. What I didn’t like is the cheesiness. I get they’re a couple but c’mon, does every couple talk that cheesy? It gets really boring after sometime... oof.
Well, I loved Type’s dad tho. Usually I don’t like it when parents don’t approve but this time it’s nice cause I don’t like Tharn either. It was really funny to watch Tharn getting “killed” by his dad so many times. Also the dad is a really good Comedian.
The comedy was nice to watch here. Especially Champ with his food (e.g.: doing cheers with a chicken wing, and then the bet with his friends whether champ would ask them to go on lunch or not).
I’m also glad Type could reconcile with his childhood friend Kum. Although I don’t like how they made it that Kum had a crush on Type. Can’t childhood friends just be that – friends?

Cute but surface level
This was a cute follow-up for Tharn and Type. I appreciated that the drama didn't feel so layered on, but it again glossed over so many things to try to put a bow on stories quickly. I was disappointed with how they handled things with Type's dad. It felt like "well, he hates you, Tharn, so sorry" and that was it. Again, kind of a shrug without much depth or action. The actors pulled the weight of this for me, but it did feel like a cute story with little substance or development. We still have yet to deal with Type's homophobia and I'm about 10/10 sure we won't even in the sequel. So all in all, it was fine, but that's just about it.Was this review helpful to you?

We cant even have a simple special without Lhong showing up
I really liked 90% of this special, but the inclusion of that Lhong scene towards the end really annoys me. This is supposed to be a nice, peaceful story about Tharn and Type, without the fighting and crying. We got the short scenes with the friends, which I’m totally okay because it grounds the present day with the past, as well as ties it more with Love by Chance.I liked the story of them going back to visit Type’s parents, which gave us cute couple scenes at the beach. But I’m glad we got to see Type apologizing to Kom and being proud of saying out loud that he got a boyfriend. It was also nice to understand that Type was Kom’s first love, so that explains why he always stood there listening to his hateful comments.
But they had to include that Thorn and Lhong scene. It only confirms that absolutely nothing happened to Lhong, who’s living well abroad. Zero consequences to the despicable thing he did. Regarding Thorn, I really don’t get him. How can he can pretend that Lhong only type a small thing and should be happier?! Thorn has two biological siblings, he’s creepy towards the little sister and sometimes looks concerned about Tharn. While he’s got two “I consider you like a brother” guys, both did bad things and hurt his brother. It doesn’t make sense. I can try to pretend that I understand how he could still care and be friends with San, who’s been his best friend for years. But Lhong? No way.
The fact that we got that scene of Thorn basically forgiving Lhong bring the whole special down for me.

I guess being childish and dramatic runs in the family
Out of all of the TharnType series and specials, I think this one is the best. And that is not saying much. The two are still as dysfunctional as they were, nothing has really changed. We do get quite a few scenes with them either confessing their love to each other or being sweet and cute.Seeing Type’s father… let’s just say I get it why Type is the way he is. I really thought no one will beat Type when it comes to being overdramatic and childish. His father is even worse, so I guess it runs in the family. I do admit that some of the scenes were quite difficult to sit through. But then some were quite fun. However, I really enjoyed Type’s relationship with his mother. She seems like a very lovely person, and I am glad that she is so accepting of not only her son and Tharn, but others as well. She might not fully understand it, but she does not hate either.
I really enjoyed Type’s conversation with his friend that he had a fight in the first season. I think that was a very nice conclusion to that conversation. And while I do find it extremely annoying that Type insists on not being gay, just being in love with Tharn, I cannot completely disregard the fact that a man doesn’t necessary have to be gay to be in a relationship with another man. He can be bi, pan, etc. I am sure that the series creators were not really thinking about this but were going for the cliché “not gay, just love you” thing that seems to be popular.
The whole Lhong thing – once again, NO! Why did they keep pushing for his redemption?

It was okay, like any other normal episode
I enjoyed skipping through this "special," it felt like any other episode. Didn't really feel interested in all their couples moments here since they became a couple very very early in season one so their couple moments feels repetitive to me. I prefer when the romance is a slow burn then the couple moments will feel like a treatBut I enjoyed the scene with Type's parents, it was funny. Type's father kinda creeps me out tho, especially with how obsessed he is with Tharn's celebrity sister, made me cringe.

Super wholesome!!
This was the cutest special episode ever made!! I loved it so much I had to rewind some scenes because they were either super funny or super cute. It's been a while since I watched TharnType so this filled my heart with pure happiness.I loved everything about this episode omg! The way we saw the characters of Love by Chance every once in a while was so nice! And the whole first meeting between Tharn and Type's dad was the funniest thing I've ever seen! I really liked that they showed how alike Type and his dad are, it was a nice way to show how far Type had come from his character since the beginning. Also, really glad they brought the Type's friend, a wholesome apology was very much needed. And that scene with the puppy and cat ears WAS EVERYTHING, they are just the perfect couple uwu.

Type's parents are hilarious.
This was such a sweet special and one I laughed so hard at. Type's parents are hilarious, especially his dad. The wife or husband scene will forever be my favorite thing. The only reason this didn't get a complete 10 star rating is because of the Lhong and Thorn scene near the end. It didn't make much sense to me and the fact that Lhong only admitted he hurt Tharn and not Tar really bothered me.
