ITSAY SOTY
Hands down to the producer and all the crew that works behind this series is beautifully done the cinematography the script the chemistry everything scream perfection itsay really made other bl series that i've watch became plain that's how impactful this series to me it hits hard. Also BKPP!!! both of them are such amazing actors their chemistry are insane how they executed every scenes are so impressive. I love how they didn't even need to talk much or even have a very long make out and bed session to show the se*ual tension just subtle touch, glances already made the audience feeling their chemistry im so so proud of them and they totally deserve all the recognition for their hardwork. ITSAY is highly recommended 100/10 i must sayWas this review helpful to you?
BEST SERIES EVER
Out of all the series that I have watched, I Told Sunset About You is probably the best one that I ever watched to date...?? Every element and aspect of it has everything and prolly could be called as a "Masterpiece" and P E R F E C T. ?? I've never been so crazy who cries, laughs and felt every emotion that I could feel like im in a roller coaster ride. ??The series itself thought a lot of lessons in life and focuses not just the love that are seen on two persons, but it gives significance to to the problems and struggles that an individual might face whether in one's identity, family, friends and community. ?The issues about LGBTQIA++ is really addressed and was delivered in a realistic manner where everyone can relate and reflect... ??The cast, musical scoring, cinematography, director, crew/staffs and each person that made this series possible are superb and truly one of a kind. The symbolism and details that it has are truly impeccable. The remarkable bra scene which was improvised just blew the minds of the viewers with the message that it portrays to each one of us. The crying scenes are one of a kind and it really made me cry a lot. (RIP to the large amount of tissues that i consumed?). Kudos and big round of applause for this wholesome and one of a kind series that Nadao Bangkok gave to us. ITSAY would really have a special place in my heart forever. This is not just the best BL series, but it is the best series for me in totality..??Was this review helpful to you?
A cinematic masterpiece
NO-SPOILER REVIEWThis coming of age story is more like a high-quality movie divided into multiple parts rather than a typical drama series with many episodes. The story, acting, and cinematography are all outstanding.
Pros
- Simply unmatched cinematography compared to any other series in this genre, and better than many Hollywood movies.
- The casting, acting, and chemistry between the leads is superb.
- Skillful storytelling techniques that enable deep messages and feelings to be conveyed without the need for explicit vocalization or overt flashbacks.
- The story touches on powerful human truths in a very natural and organic way.
Cons
- As this is a coming of age story you need to think about the characters and their motivations from their point of view. For those of us who are far past this stage of our lives, their motivations and actions can seem frustrating at times.
- There are a few moments where the acting is so intense that it can be a bit unexpected or jarring.
Overall
- A simply stunning series that has set a new bar for the genre.

More than meets the eye
I have never really written a review of a drama before, I didn't even have an account on this website but created one only just so I could leave a review of this incredible drama. In the beginning I didn't have too high expectations. I never watched "My Ambulance", but I heard so much buzz about BKPP and it made me interested.
To start off, the whole drama is so aesthetically pleasing! It has this very gorgeous yellow filter throughout the episodes and it makes it feel so much more dreamier. I'm a big fan of cinematography and I ended up LOVING the cinematography in this specific drama. Another thing that made me adore this drama was that it uses a lot of symbolism/metaphors and I really like knowing things can have a deeper meaning that just what meets the eye.
The storylines were so well-thought and executed in such a gorgeous way. I also watched the documentary to this drama and you can see how talented Billkin and PP are in terms of shooting emotional scenes. This is honestly the first Thai BL that I've been so in love with when it comes to the script and production. I also love the fact that this show was recorded in Phuket. FINALLY A CHANGE OF SCENERY!
In the drama they portray Teh as someone who might be a bit selfish when it comes to love, but through out the drama you start to notice Teh's storyline is more complex than that. They don't use dialogue when they portray these type of struggles, they usually use metaphors, facial expressions or the cinematography as a way to show how the characters are feeling. For example, I know someone pointed out that Teh was wearing a blue shirt throughout a bunch of scenes, and that was solely because he was feeling sad. Blue represents sadness.
I like that in this drama they didn't try to make it that simple as you can see in most Thai BLs. Not that is has to be hard, but they actually portrayed the emotions in such a powerful way and I personally think other Thai BLs miss out on this.
I have so much more to say about this drama, but I don't want to spoil it all too much for people that have yet to watch it. I really recommend this drama if you're into metaphors, cinematography, a beautiful storyline and if you like to get emotional almost every episode.
I'm excited for part 2 next year!

A masterpiece, truly.
Everything about this series is incredibly beautiful from the OST to the cinematography. The childhood friends trope has always been a favourite of mine. Childhood friends to rivals to friends to (potential) lovers has me so hooked. So firstly, the story is top tier. Secondly, the cinematography. This series has some of the best I have ever seen (and I've seen a lot). The use of colours and saturations is amazing. It helps portray characters feelings and the overall mood so well. I'm more than impressed. Plus the use of colour within the characters (Oh-aew being red and Teh being blue/teal). The actors are incredible too. I'll admit that I've never seen Billkin or PP in anything before, so for my first impression it's amazing. They're both such amazing actors and they play their roles so well. I can feel their chemistry. What they feel, you feel. All that tension. Lastly, the OST. I'm well and truly obsessed with the OST for this series. It's beautiful, emotional and just, well, good. I've been listening to Skyline on repeat since I started this series. I have no complaints about this show at all. Even with a sad ending I believe I will still adore this series and it'll keep its 10/10 rating from me. I would even say it's stole my #1 spot for my favourite drama ever. EP 4 really solidified that for me with how they portrayed real LGBTQ+ struggles. Beautifully done. Was this review helpful to you?

EXPLORING THEMSELVES!!!!!
I like most thai dramas giving importance to LGBT but this drama explains how do they EXPLORE Themselves what their likes and dislikes are.IT'S WORTH WATCHING!!!!
It says love doesn't have gender barrier if you truly love it. How can one explain himself what is more important and what he need to face to get it.
Teenage crush, love, sexual feelings are portrayed very beautifully and neatly.
the feeling of friendship between a group is cool.
The main characters helplessness for not getting what they need is again a breakthrough of the plot which was amazingly showed.

Excellent Series & Angsty Tearjerker
Excellent series, but not perfect. Why? Because it seemed like the goal was to wring every last tear and emotion out of me, and that distracted me from noticing the subtle nuances of this series. To me, making me emotional is not what makes a great story, it's the whole package. The ending was unsatisfying, especially if I'm to believe they are meant to be together.Story - A coming of age story. I usually love slice of life stories, but the reliance on melodrama and angst worked against it. I would have been happy if Oh-Aew chose Bas after the blessing, because the Teh x Oh-Aew's relationship was always on and off and full of drama. They were barely ever happy. At that point, I should have been solidly rooting for Teh x Oh-Aew. For me to be ready to accept Bas shows the story didn't express true love between the leads. Some positives were the expression of sexuality that is present during adolescence, and that Bas and Tarn were good people, not villains.
Acting/Cast - All of the cast did a fine job. I especially liked the two leads and Teh's older brother.
Music - Music was great, but the opening song and the score were not subtitled. The music selection was important, so they should have subtitled everything.
Rewatch Value - Probably not unless I want to cry.
Overall - An excellent series and would recommend it. The cinematography was beautiful and the locations scenes were gorgeous.

Describing the whole series as a masterpiece is an understatement
This series had set the bar high up to the heavens height for a BL drama. This series had hit me emotionally to the bones. After watching Episode 3, I decided to hold on watching the other BL series that were concurrently airing while ITSAY was also airing. I told myself that I would only continue watching the other series after ITSAY had closed all its chapters. But even until now, I still cannot make myself to resume watching the other series after I have watched ITSAY Episode 5. I know this may sound an overstatement or exaggeration to others but ITSAY has definitely gone through my system. Re-watching the episodes and listening to their OSTs repeatedly the whole day makes me feel like I am also a part of their story. Was this review helpful to you?
