Sheriff's acting so bad it ruins episode

The Sheriff's acting is so bad that it ruins whatever remains of this episode that could be called good. And there is much. Not only do you have the very bad acting of the Sheriff, who's expression NEVER changes, I mean Bigfoot, ET and an armynof Zombie's could magical appear before him and his expression woukd not change, but the story line take a bizarre twist. Seo Hwa doesn't deserve to be saved. You have a guy who has done nothing but good for he, protected her, put himself at risk to becoming a Demon for a 1,000 years in order to save her from being a sex slave and after he has to use is magic powers to save her again, she turns on him in a New York minute. Then leads the Sheriff back to his Den because he protector her from knowing about the deaths of her brother and her maid both of whom she is actually responsible for their deaths. This is a nonsensical story line.

Five Stars

***** SPOILERS **********

I loved the first 15-20 minutes of this episode, how he Choi Kang-chi fell in Seo Hwa, how he saved her, how he protected her.. but than I felt sorry for him by the behaviours of his loved one...

I seriously wanted to scream, woman what the hell is wrong with you.. He is the only man who really loved you, protected you saved you, married you.. He is hot as hell, he is handsome what more do you want.

He might be a Gumiho in the inside but he was trying hard to be a human.. what you do for him? go away I do not want you? Is that what he deserves?

He is a guy looked after you, who protected you, who saved you from being a prost in a brothel?? he saved you from being raped?

my girl I would give everything to have a guy like that.. No matter he is a gumiho, wolf man, spider man or a goblin.. He is hot, he is caring, he is loving. Now I will volunteer to be this guy's wife with all my heart..

You seriously pissed me off.

And If I were you I would be head over heels for being the wife of this type of a man..

Did you forget what happened to your family? How wrongly they accused your dad? How they killed your brother? How they raped your servant instead of yourself?? so now I hope you have a little bit conscience & guild inside you?

Even when he is deadly injured he is calling your name asking ppl to look for you, that you might be scared of his Gumiho self. Oh girl..

So being a concubine is much better than being the wife of a Gumiho.. yeah you yucky girl..

Your husband did not let you know that your brother has been hanged and killed and your maid has killed herself not to make you upset so you can continue to live and what you do is runaway to the arms of an old perv..

you did betray on your husband let them kill him.. You are evil.. totally evil.

How could you reveal his secret hide out, ok leave him but do not ever reveal his secret hide out, at least you should have let him to leave in peace.

Now soon after your husband's death you learn that you are pregnant... how could you say that your child will be a devilish creature and you are the wife of divine creature and even try to drink poison....

There is nothing wrong with being the wife of a divine creature.. he is not ugly, he is not bad, he is not devil.

Do not forget The buyer of the rotten beans is the blind man.

If you stayed with your husband you would not have to be a Giaseng

I never had cried in a drama in 2nd episode..

She would have killed her baby if Wul Ryung did not appear in the form of blue lights..

Yes your child is not a monster, as your husband was not a monster..

OH my baby look how cute and lovely he is....

What I do not understand is how did Wul Ryung's friend know that baby is Wui Ryung's... how did the learned? Yes Wui Ryung appeared in shape of blue lights but certainly it is not enough for him to understand?

my heart is broken...

what the hell lady

~SPOILER~
Almost everyone said what i wanted to voice out but I think the reaction of Seo Hwa is pretty much the reaction we would expect from women of that era, (yeah not everyone is like Bella who will do everything to end up with a devil like creature)She only hoped for a simple life, she had everything easy-going until her family was killed. She obviously doesn't have what it takes to avenge her family, seeing that she was content with her brother being "safe" and already forgot about her late-father.
Not that I am for what she did, it is indeed very nerve wrecking and frustrating, that she betrayed handsome dashing kind and oh so manly Wol Ryung who did everything for her sake. but c'mon! forgetting all that her sworn enemy has done to her and the family and, on the top that, help in the killing of the only man who truly loved her... that is the utter incarnation of stupidity...
WAAHHH trying to kill the child.. then saying " i am sorry"???!!! hope she died in the cave XD

WOW

Part of me is trying to understand what made that woman betray her husband/sex-on-legs man (I could never betray someone as hot as wol ryung.. the world NEED more hot, indescribable men like him!)

another part of me is screaming "YOU ABSOLUTE MORON/PABO/BAKA"...okaii, yehh... he lied to you TO PROTECT YOU!!.. yeh he isn't human but.. NO MAN AS HOT AS HIM CAN BE!!..(you would think she would realise this bu just looking at him due to his hotness)

but.. overall.. the graphics weren't too bad with the fighting.. must admit I've seen better but they are usually in movies so I'm guessing this is the best they can do with a tighter budget!...the acting was pretty good on Wol Ryung's side and not too bad on hers..
the storyline was a bit "whhhhhaaaattt?" and shocking but overall made me want to watch and see what happens next so I must give a high rating!..

SAY THINGS THAT MAKE SENSE, DRAMA!!

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS!!!

First half hour... YES!! YES!! YES!! YES YES YES!!! THAT is how a second episode proposal should go! :D :D :D And YES!! the first half hour was amazing and wonderful and HAPPY! And then...

WHAT THE HELL, LADY!?!? From now on, you deserve everything you get!! How STUPID can you be!? Oh, I'm going to run away from and betray the man who's only crime was lying to me to protect me, and I'm going to ESCAPE to the guy who killed my family and wants to rape me! Yeah, that's smart! NOT!! OMO! I am SO angry... I have NEVER been so angry at a female character before!! RAAAAAAGE!!! "Why didn't you tell me you were a divine creature?" You couldn't piece that together with his sexy hair, manly voice, and chiseled jaw?? You feel betrayed because he killed the men who were trying to drag you back to hell and he didn't start by saying, "Hey, I'm immortal!!" Just shut up, woman!! I hate you!!!

And NOW she's all horror struck that she's about to give birth to the sexiest man alive!? WHAT AN UNGRATEFUL WENCH!!! AND she tried to kill him before he was even born!! Okay. That's it. I hate her more than Jun Pyo's ooma from Boys Over Flowers, and Monkey Face and Dan from My Princess, and Fake Fairy from You're Beautiful!! COMBINED!!!

I honestly don't know what the writers were thinking. At least make sense!! Maybe if they were separated by something OTHER than rabid stupidity... but no.

Oooh, and then she's toootally surprised that her baby's NOT a monster! Was she even LOOKING at her hot husband the whole time she was married to him, or did she forget about how gorgeous he was as soon as he killed a couple men TO PROTECT HER!!

Okay. I hope she died in that cave. Nothing about her makes any sense, now. Can we bring back sexy Gumiho man with the nice jawline, and give him a new love? A GOOD woman with a KIND heart!? Please, drama!? I WILL VOLUNTEER!! K, thnx.

Okay... I know when we rate these episodes, we're supposed to take into consideration the quality, cinematography, sets, acting...etc, but the horrible, nonsensical writing of Seo Hwa's character inanities ruined everything. So I couldn't enjoy anything else because she was So. Flippin. Stupid.

By the way, my rating is for the writing. The acting, the sets, everything is amazing, I just can't believe the writers wouldn't realise how ridiculous Seo Hwa's character looks. Like... inhumanly stupid.

Heartbreaking

It was a heartbreaking episode with Wul Ryung dying and everything, I was a little mad at Seo Hwa since she didn't believe in the love they had together, even Wul Ryung was disappointed and felt betrayal but even with that, he never thought about daggering her and save his life. I mean the girl even went to the enemy lines, what a stupid noble girl.

Anyway, another legend is starting and I get to see Kang Chi next ep,...

Beautiful narration but infuriating woman and fate

Can I kill that woman? Can I?(well, not exactly but...)
For once, I thought I'd found the PERFECT female lead: bold and brave, she refused to become the concubine of that pervert, and again, she chose to spare her brother's life even if it meant becoming a gisaeng.
But THEN:
I agree that discovering your husband is a Gumiho and that he lied can be shocking, but even so, passed that period of shock, you should be able to reconsider the thing and realize he really loved you, and that he protected you!
What is more, if Wol Ryung didn't appear in the form of blue lights, she would also have killed the poor baby!!
Anyway, since it was told from the beginning that it was an ill-fated love, we couldn't have avoided it...

I can't wait to see the development of the new generation's story!!!

no way?

I really liked the introduction story, but this second episode disappointed me a bit. First I also think it's kind of a silly idea to go back to those bad people. I think the reaction after a shock is mostly not considered well. So I can understand her leaving him. But after a while I would have thought about it really hard. The conclusion wouldn't have been betrayal. I'm sure about that!

Although I imagined her being chased by those bad people and her giving up the child not because she wanted it, I think the actors were really great and the surroundings were beautiful and authentic. So the episode was good, but not great.

Running into the arms of the Enemy

One thing I don't understand. If she was going to run away, why run into the bad guy's arms? Finding out your husband is some mythical creature/monster must be some shock, but he's a million times better than some rapist & his motley crew!

I disagree with the people who said Seo Hwa is really irritating about being "noble" and "pretentious" and should've listened to the head gisaeng. Just because other girls fall on hard times and fall into prositution, does that mean you should too? I think people are mistaking her pride, for superiority, which is similar but also very different.

However I am not pleased she betrayed Wol Ryung! That unsympathetic look in her eye, when she accosts him at the river. Jeez. Not cool at all, man. At that moment, I almost wished he plunged the dagger into her heart, and remained "Guardian of the Mountain."

But of course she was pregnant, and that would've ruined the story. I wonder if Wol Ryung actually became a 1000 year old demon...

Overall, great episode. I'm a little nervous about Suzy, but I'll give the next few episodes a go.

I still don't like it

I tried to understand why she betrayed him. I get that she's scared and disgusted. I tried to understand why she left him after he rescued her, but what I don't understand is why lead the enemies to his hiding place. Can't she remember the time that they spent together. They lived together for 3 months and she's got him wrapped around her fingers and she betrays him.
Anyways, I was fine with her leaving him when he collapse, but revealing his hiding place is just unforgivable.
Anyways, aren't gumiho suppose to be immortal? I think the dad gumiho is still alive, but he's going to be a demon like the book said.

Prelude, Part 2/2

This episode is the following and ending of the prelude, which mean that the actual story is going to start at ep 3.

But this prelude was beautiful, really not the kind that makes you want to just skip it. It seems like an old fairytale (not the Disney kind, but the actual kind, with not so good endings and lots of emotions). It's done nicely, and pulled up my firt tear. I get the feeling it's not going to be the last one.

But I must say : This first couple was a very moving one. It will be challenging for the main couple to do better than that.

If it manages to stay at this high level of emotions and twists and to keep its rythm balance, this drama will soon become a must-watch.

ARGHHHHH

I totally loved this episode up until the end. I totally forgot it was just a background story and I shipped the parents sososo hard. I was shocked at how they went from strangers, to kissing, to married in like 5 minutes time. TOO CUTE.

I'm sure most of you know why I am mad about the end of the episode. YES she was shocked, YES she was scared and YES she was confused but c'mon... He risked his life AND afterlife for you, why did you have to betray him. If he was such a scary monster he wouldn't have saved you and protected you for three months...

ANYWAYS. GREAT ACTING, DRAMATIC/EMOTIONAL SCENES AND OVERALL COOL EFFECTS.

Episode 2

This drama keeps on getting better, I hope it will not disappoint us on the coming episodes when the main characters will appear.
Some might be disappointed with the way Seohwa reacted but I think her reaction was kind of realistic. I mean, come on, you have been lied to by a person you gave your whole heart to and addition to that you trusted this person on the time wherein he knew that you have no one. Give the girl a break, she was ignorant of the consequences of her action. And didn't you see that she regretted giving away Wolryung's place? Love this episode, such a beautiful love story. The only thing I regretted on this episode was that they have to be separated. :(

I hate her

Seo Hwa is everything that I can't stand. She is a self righteous bitch. She doesn't know of what circumstances that those women had to become gisaengs, but she judges them. I'm not saying she should be forced into prostitution or raped by the man that killed her father. However, things might have turned out different if she hadn't treated the head gisaeng like crap. The woman obviously felt for her. Then what kind of person leaves behind someone that she thinks of like a sister??? Whatever. If she was going to be so weak to get separated from her brother, then she never should have run away.

Then she finds love and a protector but leads the man that killed her father to kill him. I don't care what kind of shock she was in, she sucks for that.

Then after all that she tries to kill herself and her child and eventually abandons him into the river.

I hate her. To me she is just a self-centered and cold-hearted. If Wol Ryung had known her true character, then he would have never fallen for her. He just had the hero syndrome and saw her as a damsel in distress. She didn't deserve him.

Although, i hate her. I give the episode a 10 for eliciting such a reaction from me.

The sad love of Seo Hwa and Wol Ryung comes to an end

This episode was filled with really sweet moments as well as extremely heart-breaking ones. Wol Ryung is basically perfection but the sight of his true form shocks Seo Hwa so badly that she ends up making a lot of bad decisions. They both felt betrayed by one another but his betrayal was out of love and hers was out of hate. I don't think Wol Ryung is dead and I believe we may see them both again.

Ugh Lee Seung Gi's mom is so annoying!

ok, I get that if your husband turns out to be a vitals-digging gumiho, it is quite a shock. Especially when you discover it practically, not even in theory. You know, it's not one of those scenarios where your husband makes you a nice cup of coffee (or rice wine) and tells you "so guess what? I'm the mythical magical creature of the forest and in case you see my claws in action, don't freak out and don't run away" but instead you discover it only after seeing him dig his scary claws into those men and tear them apart. That is a scary scenario. I totally get it.

But that does not mean you completely lose your logic. That does not mean you start believing your sweet sweet husband is even worse than that man who killed your father and then tried to rape you after making you a state slave (And that reminds me - how stupid is this rule of making the family of a traitor slaves and stuff! They were not the ones who committed the crime for crying out loud!!). And then you lead your father's killer to your husband's hide-out (aka home sweet home) so that he could be killed. A husband who only protected and loved you and was even ready to become a human for you! Seriously, nobody can be THAT stupid.

Whhyyyyy

Spoiler alert:

Why did you do that to my hot, handsome Gumiho? Yeon Hee's character is ridiculous. All he did was protecting and helping you out, yet, you lead your enemy over to kill the only person that loved you. Stupid!!! Beside that, I gotta love the Gumiho. It's my first time seeing him in a drama , and he was so good at his character. Now I want one :P

Amazing!

I love love LOVE how they chose to tell Choi Kang Chi's family story. They could have taken it a completely different route, but instead chose to give us two episodes of a couple that you just couldn't help but fall in love with, knowing by the narration it would end in tragedy.

The groundwork has been set lets hope they keep up the great work. I know I will certainly be coming back for more!

Betrayal

I loved this episode. It was very sad and tragic, and I definitely was mad at her for betraying him. She was in shock, but seriously, he did nothing to her. He protected her and it was very obviously that he only went wild because they were carrying her off. Humans and their prejudices against Gumihos. Ugh! This is why Gumihos usually hide their identity at first, because humans go lead hunts against them. But in general, despite my frustration with her, I loved that we saw him look sorta of fox like and that she didn't kill her son. I am hopeful for the next episodes I think I will really enjoy this drama.

I can't wait to see more

At some point wanted to kill the girl a little for being so mean to my favorite Gumiho ever... Still there is a little gap in the story that I hope it reveals itself later on. Is a fast paced episode that I guess you have to pay a lot of attention if you want to follow the story well. This couple's fate is not supposed to be, but still it made me a little sad. Can't wait for next week...

WOW

I love this so much already! In most Gumiho-dramas I've seen, there's first of all only been girls, and secondly, they haven't been very scary or fox-like. The usual is that the color of the eye change, and the tails appear. In this drama, he just appear to be more fox-like! I mean, the other haven't been very bloody, and the fox rarely fought. But in this episode where he fight in his true shape.. Oh my god, I don't have words for it. It's as close as you can get to perfect. I'm really loving the pairing as well, even though it's only a prolouge for the "real" story. 10/10!

Blue butterflies in the air!

Yeon Hee acting of Seo Hwa character was very awkward and weird for me to see but in this episode, it's okay. I HATE HATE her personnality above all and I HOPE her son is going to take after his father. Always Beautiful romantic sceneries but I would have liked more happy moments to become even more sad and feel the dreadful emotions at the end.
I'm looking forward to see how things are going on later.
