Gu Family Book Episode 4 Reactions
I want him to be happy at the end but knowing what the monk said can sort of guess the ending not so difficult to guess.
We learned via flashbacks that Yeon Wool and Kang Chi are meant to be from the childhood memory, Kang Chi saves her from a dog, and since she has a crush on him but yet he can not remmeber it.
I am sure in the upcoming ep we will have some hints whether he really does not remember or was it just not been revealed to us yet..
I am not a great fan of Suzy but her acting is not that bad bad, at least better than the ones highly rated by fans not a Suzy lover but not a hater as well. I do not understand what LMH finds at this girl ,but that is another story...
hope we will see their gumiho babies as well although i have no hopes

I am curious to how Kang Chi and Yeo Wool met in the past, it seems interesting.
So far, good.

ok now that you know my totally bias thoughts on this show, here is the real review:
how good looking were the main actors:
above average, the guy was nice to look at, and the girl was pretty in my opinion
How well did the actors play their part:
very well, they made you feel empathy for their situations. when they joked- you wanted to laugh, when they cried- you wanted to cry
how was the story line:
well thought out so far- im only at episode 4, its captivating enough to make you want to stay up all night watching the entire season. the directors didn't throw any cheese balls in the plot. everything had a purpose- if they speed up a romance- it was for a reason, if they slowed it down it was also for a reason... a VERY good reason.
if i say anymore i might give away spoilers :)
if you ask me i say watch... for the love of kdramas WATCH!!!

Episode Plot :
Once again, many things happened in this one episode, and that makes me Wonder "How will the writers surprise us, now ?" One thing I really like is that for once, the Gumiho doesn't know he is one. He still sincerely believe he is human and that's quite original.
I loved it. And they gave us quite the chiffhanger !
Special Effect :
Beautiful, well done, and it doesn't look fake. *Clapping*
Acting :
Really good. I wasn't convinced by Suzy in episode 3, but here, I see that she really suits her character. LSG is as awesome as I expected him to be, and the two of them have a nice chemistry. The supporting actors are also doing a good job so far. I hope it will stay that way until the very last episode.
Characters :
Special award to the Dark Mysterious Bodyguard - a classic in period dramas. For once, this character speaks !! More : he shows emotions ! He even has a sense of humour ! This is a prodigy, I've been waiting for this bodyguard my whole life ! Finally we can break the curse of the boring-silent-stiff-mysterious-long haired-bodyguard
Music :
Modern, dynamic and well-balanced. I like it !
Flaw :
the Cliché ! The King of all Clichés! "Your Long-Lost Childhood Crush is your Star-Crossed Lover ! But he doesn't seem to remember you, even though for some reason, you two seem to share some bond, some inexplicable understanding..."
Give me a break. That was done like what ? A million time already ?
But I forgive you, because so far, it's done nicely.
Really nicely.
Overall :
A great episode. I give it a 9. And now I'm back to waiting...

The rest of the episode was good though. I like the supernatural parts. Next week looks just as promising.

I can't wait for the next episode. I loved the ending of episode 4. It caught me off-guard slightly when Jo Sung was a fake. I only realized it when he talked to him haha.
Also, the Korean OST is quite matching with the scenes.
The only thing that puts me off slightly is how the good vs evil is so evident haha. It's so black and white.
