The characters are interesting and the storyline is engaging.
You have Enrique/Que-Geum who seems to be ridiculous, hyper and childish on the surface, but is also kind, gentle and thoughtful. He's also a computer-game genius.
There's Go Dokmi, the 'urban rapunzel', whom I took a little while to warm to. I didn't quite understand the character, but you learn more about her as the drama progresses, and I suppose that's the whole idea.
Jinrak is handsome, brooding and serious. Donghoon is a bit of light, comedy relief with a heart of gold.
The 'chief' - I still don't think her character even had a name - with her dark circles and her love of screeching in English at Jinrak and Donghoon will have you laughing a lot.
There are little subplots that flow naturally alongside the main story, and you find yourself rooting for more than one possible couple.
All in all, this drama was well written, an original idea, and a light-hearted romantic comedy. I reccommend it to anyone who enjoys sweet romances, and a sort of 'will they won't they' vibe, as the drama leaves you guessing as to who Dokmi might choose until fairly near the end.

Will make you laugh, smile and both at the same time :)
The plot is really refreshing and the actors are amazing.
Music is nice and it fits so well.
And there are no annoying ex boyfriends/girlfriends so that was a big + from me, although there are a few annoying characters but I won't say anything else :P
In my top 5 for sure. The drama is a must watch.

Story is cute. What I love a bout this is the friendship. Complicated situations specially the ones tat involves love can ruin relationship between friends but this proved the world wrong.
Cast are great too they fit perfectly with their character.
I love talking' bout' love by J-rabbit PERFECT!

Enjoyed the drama, not enough that I'd re-watch it straight away though. It's definitely the best drama out of all the other flower boy dramas. ---------SPOILER---------
The plot is basically Park Shin Hye who plays a socially anxious girl who has a crush on her neighbour, however the neighbours cousin who comes to live with him for a while finds out about it and tries to help them two get together, he tries to make her get out of her shell and be more confident, however they fall for each other in the process..

You have to start of with Enrique, the most cheerful and bubbly drama character you'll ever see. I mean, I sometimes hear his hysterical laugh while dreaming.
Go Dok Mi, who we all can relate to. Personally, I was amazed by the development of her character throughout the series. You could see the different faces that she reveals in each new episode, which was quite interesting as well.
I just couldn't leave out the adorable love story of Dong Hoon and the ever so lovable Watanabe-kun! Focussing on their stories a bit as well was kind of a refreshment throughout the series.
With all of that being said, this drama didn't score major points when it came to the whole plot. I'm biased towards series with a plot sequence of "a community life". I'm very fond of these type of stories really, I've watched a lot of anime and series regarding that. But somehow, this story felt very undeveloped and filled with plot-holes most of the time. Would've liked if the creators of the drama left in the "brother", living across Dok Mi, as the main character, I think that aspect would've changed a lot.
Anyway, lovely series for rom-com genre lovers!

It wasn't a drama that blew me away and that i watched episode after episode of, like what i thought it would be. It's a romantic comedy (which i loved), the episodes are not that long (to a person that has watched a lot of dramas and that are used to episodes being one hour long at least, they weren't long, around 45 min) and there's only 16 episodes, so i thought i'd finish this drama quickly, but it took me longer than expected. I liked most of the drama, but there were some reasons why i didn't like it as much as i thought i would.
1. I really didn't like Park Shin-hye's character, she was like an overdramatic teenage girl that made every problem bigger than what it really needed to be, she never listened or trusted anyone, although they were good people. I get that she couldn't know that and that she was bullied, and all the reasons that made her that way, but still i felt like she was slightly overdramatic about a lot of things, and... i don't even know, i just didn't like her character in this drama (i have nothing against Park Shin-hye as an actress though, just to clear that out).
2. I wasn't super into the romance between the main characters in this drama. I found myself more interested in the romance between the editor and Dong hoon. (those charcters were hilarious, and together, even more).
3. It felt like the storyline was taken straight out from a fanfiction. The typical shy girl that was bullied, meets popular/famous and handsome heart throb, that just so happened to move into the apartment right across from where she lives. It jus felt like a fanfiction coming to life.
But still this drama was an okey series. It's a good "inbetween-dramas drama", you know those dramas that you watch because you're not sure what to watch next or you're waiting for another drama to start airing. It is a very light hearted romantic comedy that is easy to watch, although it's a bit boring at times (not gonna lie), it has a lot of witty/funny scenes and some cute romantic scenes and is overall an okey drama.
When it comes to the music and the acting i don't really have much to say, i didn't really pay attention to the music in this drama, and the acting was the typical romantic comedy acting where you overdramatise things and act silly. It's a bit difficult for me to judge the acting in romantic comedies because of this, i feel like i have to see other dramas with the same actors to be able to tell you if they're good actors or not, so i can say this, Park Shin-hye (I've seen her in Pinocchio, The heirs and You're beautiful), Kim Seul Gi (Oh my ghost) and Go Gyeong-pyo (Jealousy incarnate) are good actors. Can't say anything about the rest because i haven't seen enough of them, but overall an okey drama.

My current favorite drama
This is the first kdrama i watched, and ever since there wasn't another one I like better then this, not even Squid Game. This drama is different from others where the first guy that the main character girl meet with end up getting together, in the end, everyone that played an important role gets an ending. Its also somewhat weird and funny, loved watching it. It is definitely one of the drama I will rewatch in a couple years. A lot of the scenes are hard to act out, and Shin Hye did a perfect job doing every single one of them perfectly. Seeing the change in personality of the main character just makes me smile because its realistic but insaneWas this review helpful to you?
Another Flower Boy
Originally I started watching this because of Park Shin-Hye. I generally enjoy watching her in light-hearted romantic comedies. I felt that this drama was more of a comedy than a romance and that, perhaps put me off from truly enjoying this drama fully. I enjoy comedy, but I prefer a different type of humor. As for the romance, I couldn't really feel the chemistry between the leads. The relationship seemed a bit one-sided to me. Enrique was the one taking initiative most of the time and Dok Mi was very withdrawn into her little world. Perhaps their personalities were so apart, that a quirky person like Enrique was just too much for Dok Mi's apparent lack of emotion and selfishness.
If you enjoy a bit of fluffy and silly romance, unrequited love, without story or plot, then this might be for you. Alas, not for me.
